Nice product - I ordered this after trying my dad's pad and loved it. His was an older all jade model, but I decided to order the tourmaline/ jade in a newer model. Works great to alleviate my upper back pain! The tourmaline stones are rounded and tapered on the edges and my only complaint is that the side jade stones are not. They are squared and have rather sharp corners. Wish they they had a little softer finish on the edges because I can feel they are little hard when lying on them. Other than that, it's fine.
Suffering from chronic back pain, I've spent a lot of money on "heating pads" of the $15 - $40 variety. They all last a couple of months or, rarely, a year. When I unpacked this unit I was really surprised at the quality of the materials and workmanship that seems to have gone into this heating pad. I've only been using it for about a week but I can honestly say I've never owned one this nice. You don't notice the on-heating-off-cooling cycle that the "cheaper" units have. Just good, stable heating from the generously sized Medium Pro, the stones definitely seem to make a difference. I can't speak to the science of positive and negative ions, but this pad does seem to promote a deeper heating of muscles. I would be comfortable recommending this pad to anyone. I was lucky enough to catch mine on sale for a significant savings through Amazon!
Heat penetrates my body like nothing else. Almost feels like being in a warm bath. I have horrible chronic pain, and use it every day.
This pad is amazing. I have had a couple of Therasage jade heating pads for over 6 years, and they were starting to wear out, so I decided to replace the medium size with this UTK pad with tourmaline. This pad is larger than the medium Therasage, and has the added benefit of the tourmaline stones. This pad heats quickly, the heat is evenly distributed throughout, and it seems to be gentler in the source of heat but also seems to penetrate more deeply/thoroughly than the Therasage pad does. I really like the control dial, and that I can choose the exact temperature and amount of time; it is very easy to use, even in the dark in the middle of the night. My husband uses this for chronic neck and back pain at higher temperature settings, and experiences temporary reduction in symptoms. I am using this pad to boost my immune function with long sessions of 4-6 hours overnight at a lower heat setting. After just about 3 weeks (usage 4-6 nights a week), I am already seeing positive results. My asthmatic kitty is also doing treatments (by choice, she is drawn to the pad anytime we turn it on, and she will take any opportunity to steal a spot on it if we get up for a bathroom or water break). In the three weeks since we received the pad, I have noted an improvement in the kitty's asthma attacks; additionally her weight has reduced and she seems healthier than in the entire past year. Overall, this is a wonderful pad for the price, and I feel comparable or even superior to the Therasage pad of the similar size.
I already own the jade mat in the same size and absolutely love it. As someone who lives with chronic pain, that mat has become my go to. My friend purchased this new one and I tried it out for a few days. I feel like it works even better than just the full jade mat in alleviating pain so I purchased one myself.

I've dealt with severe chronic disabling pain for years and I was so excited to get this when I ordered it. I'd researched this thing for 6 months before I finally purchased. It definately heats up well and gets scalding hot if you're not careful. Definately keep a towel beween your skin and the stones. You WILL sweat! I know that's supposed to be one of the good cleansing aspects of this but I hate the feeling of sweating with a heating pad and not being able to thoroughly clean it. Ugh. Maybe I haven't found the temperature sweet spot yet. I wish I could give it a 5. Since I'm bed bound in tremendous pain about 75% of time, I was hoping for more pain relief out out of this but I just tend to sweat more than anything Oh, well. It's definately NOT your standard heating pad which was what I wanted. I do love the size and the quality and crafstmanship of it. Nice high end long thick cord. The stones aren't uncomfortable. Something that might be nice to enhance this product is to have a nice gripping texture on the back side so that you can use it while sitting up in a chair. Its too slippery for sitting up and just slides back down. I'm constantly readgusting it. If you're looking for something more than a cheapo drugstore heating pad, this is the way to go. I wish you all better luck and more relief than I've found if you decide to purchase.
I LOVE IT!!!! It's perfect! Remarkably and noticeably better than my electric heating pad. I definately feel better, even after the first use! It's large enough, just the right size. It's hot enough, way more than I need. And definately safe, and a bit miraculous how the heat penetrates my body through clothing and yet the pad and stones are only mildly warm to the touch. This heating pad has helped me with chronic pain like nothing I have tried to date. I use it on a regular basis and was disappointed when after less than a year it stopped working. However, one email to the company started the process of getting a replacement control. They couldn't have been more responsive and pleasant to work with. I received my new controller within 3 weeks and it will be covered under an extended warranty. Very pleased with the product but the customer service response was above a typical call to a company when you have a problem.
I’ve found a small slice of Heaven. I have numerous bad discs and have been in a lot of pain for a couple weeks now and nothing helped. My sister suggested infrared heating pad and I found this. I got so relaxed the first use I fell asleep. Loving this and will be a forever customer!
