I have carpel tunnel diagnosed 2 years ago but I had it for years prior (programmer for decades on computer keyboards). Doc gave me large braces that reduced the issue from an 8 to a 5 on a scale of 1-10 (ten being worse). I didn't make the follow up appt for surgery.. no thanks or at least not yet. However those braces were not easy to deal with when doing common things. I have it in both wrists. I have very small wrists and usually can't even find a watch with enough links to remove to make it fit. BUT these fit and are snug enough to help when I don't want to wear a brace. If you have CT I suggest that you use different braces at different times,mix that with compression sleeves at other times and sometimes go without anything. It is the combination of things that have helped me. I hope it works for you because if you do nothing to ease the pain..life can be miserable. Also try aspirin instead of the drugs the doc wants to give you, it is a good anti-inflammatory and you can low dose.
I transcribe for a living and also crochet a LOT. I love these. At first they felt a bit tight, but they are supposed to be and now they are great. I'm thinking about ordering a backup pair to have because sometimes my youngest likes to hide things from me. Great product!
Don't look like much, and the compression area doesn't seem as wide in the picture, but these appreciably reduce pain when performing problematic movements. I'm ordering another pair. Wish they came in some other (easier to find) color.
Some other reviews complain about the thumb hole. I don't find it intolerably uncomfortable, although obviously these do feel restrictive compared to being bare handed.
My doctor recommended that I sleep with wrist sleeves because of circulation issues, but these are great for work as well. I like that they're lightweight (plus the bright pink flashdance look is very popular in the office!!!) I have pretty small palms, so I have found folding the top half (above the thumb) helps keep the pressure from squeezing my fingers too much. That might help some others who have found it a little to tight there.
They have helped so much, my hands don't wake me up with pins and needles in the middle of the night and they help me maintain a healthy wrist posture while typing at a keyboard.
just get size medium. just cuz you're a girl or small doesn't mean your hands are small. people talk about problems with thumbs on the size small. i would also worry that it would cut off your circulation or be too tight and be more uncomfortable. i got medium and am wearing them right now because im just starting to get carpel tunnel . gives me a lot of support. but taking it on and off it may make it a little stretched out. this wont protect you at night though. at night with CT be sure to wear an actual wrist brace. these are just for daily activities for a little bit more support. I use ace bandages too.

These are for my wife. She has some carpel problems as do many others around us. When I ordered she was going through a rougher time than normal. When they arrived she slipped one on and was pleased with the fit other than it was a little too loose at the wrist. I doubled the extra over onto the wrist and it seemed to give a lot of relief. Great support for both of my wrists and the hand compression is very good as well. Being a person who wears a watch, these allows you to strap a watch on while wearing these supports. I bought this bec I wanted something soft enough to wear at night and not have to wake up looking like I had a fight with a cat. (The rigid braces have metal in them.) However, other than compression, it doesn't have enough rigidity to keep my wrist/hand aligned. Also, I bought a small since my wrist circumference was on the border between small and medium, and it's snug, but I can't wear it for too long bec it starts cutting off my circulation! So take that for what it's worth. I'm keeping it though since it's what I wanted/expected.
I do 5ks and have a horrible problem with my hands swelling after the races. They get so swollen to the point that I can't even get a water bottle open at the end of the race or bend my fingers. My doctor suggested compression sleeves. I wanted something besides black or white because white would get so dirty and black..well there's tons of that stuff out there. I wanted pretty and functional. These are prefect! I've worn these several times since receiving them and my hands do not swell!!! They are snug as they are supposed to be and they can be a little itchy in the warmer weather, but it's worth it. These work!
