As a wife of a Parkinson’s patient I am always looking for anything to help ease the burden of this disease. We cannot afford expensive gadgets that don’t always work but I can tell you to look no more. The ease and efficiently if these utensils have made it less cumbersome for my husband to eat properly without drawing attention to the tremors. Look no more!!!!! These utensils are PERFECTION!!! Buy at least 2-4 sets.
My mother had a stroke a little over a year ago. From time to time, her hands will shake, and she has difficulty eating. I purchased these utensils for her in the hopes she would find it easier to eat. I fixed her a favorite meal, and sat them in front of her. She picked them up easily, and began eating. It was a success. She was able to eat without spilling her food, and without feeling like she was incapable of feeding herself. I recommend these utensils for anyone who has difficulty eating due to tremors, or any other reason which prevents the ability to hold a standard fork or spoon. They work.
These are fantastic! So light for my weak hands, and thick enough that I don't need to aggravate my joints. I adore these and I just bought a second set! And bought a pair for my friend who was recently diagnosed with lupus and is having hand pains. These completely changed my meal times making me far more independent when eating!
The large handles makes this easy for my aged father to hold on to and they don't roll in his hand like regular flatware was doing. These are not dishwasher safe and the knife is useless for cutting anything more than soft to semi soft foods. I tried cutting an apple and not only was it difficult but for some reason the apple turned brown immediately. I have never experienced such rapid discoloration.
I would recommend these for people who need something larger to hold onto.
Love these utensils! Theyre not heavy, but the larger handles make them easier to handle with my tremors -- and the "remedial" look discourages other people from "borrowing" them. Ive tried heavier "regular" utensils, but they keep disappearing -- people not realizing I have them for more than mere convenience. Purchasing these was an attempt to resolve that issue. The color options are a welcome change from the institutional gray.

I love the fat handles. My arthritis is very bad and it is difficult to hold flat utensils. I do have a suggestion. If you could make something with thicker handles but longer as well. Having a longer length makes a big difference. Otherwise very happy with these. Can put them in a ziplock bag in my purse when I go out for dinner.
We purchased this set for a severely arthritic elderly person. She had difficulty with standard cutlery due to limited grip. These implements work great. The diameter is appropriate and the grey rubber has adequate traction and is easy to clean. Overall, a high quality product. Recommended.
My elderly friend is very weak in her hands and was having trouble feeding herself. I purchased this product with the hope that they would make it easier for her to eat. They have made it considerably easier. As she is in a nursing home, I had expected the home to provide such a product, but, no. I attached mini tags with her name to each utensil. I can only hope that they will not disappear. I they do vanish, I will be buying more.
Husband has mild to moderate fine tremors that made eating at times challenging. These adaptive utensils are well made, not heavy, and handles for gripping fit extremely well. Initially apprehensive, but after one use, husband was
pleased and mealtime will no longer be a struggle.
I have been using these since yesterday and I like them. I wish they came in blue but at least with the red I can find them quickly. I have hand tremors and my regular silverware became difficult to hold without dropping and making a mess. These chunky handles will take some getting used to but so far I like them.
