I have been doing research for a presentation at a new club I have joined (the local Richard III Society) and all my books have notes that provide (for me) important details to follow-up on for additional study. Interestingly (read that with frustrating irony), these notes are often in tiny font sizes. Why?! It has been impossible to discern them in several of my volumes. So, I turned to Amazon for help and found Fancii’s lighted, handheld magnifying glass, which is incredible! It is large enough to read several sentences at a time and definitely is a friend of one's strained eyes sight.
It is a beautiful tool with an accompanying soft cover and an extremely soft cleaning cloth. When I received the magnifying glass, there was an almost invisible film covering the lens that protected it during manufacturing, shipment, and delivery. I thought the sticker on the surface was attached directly to the actual surface because after I removed it, there was an apparent irritation to the lens surface.
I called the company and exchanged voice messages with a very courteous CSR; this interchange resulted in details about the protective cover. When I removed it, the lens was perfect! I am treating the tool with care by returning it to the soft cover after each use. I am impressed with the care taken in the company's process and the quality of product.
If you are feeling the strain to your eyes in reading or any other close-work activity, help out those precious lens that enable your vision. This is an excellent product and the price was quite reasonable. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Cheers!
I don't normally write reviews on Amazon, but when you come across a product that is so brilliant, I felt compelled to comment on this item. I don't know how they make these, if they are milled, or what, but this product shows a great deal of craftsmanship. The lens is crystal clear and, although I have only had to use this product on a couple of occasions thus far, I can tell that it is going to be an necessary part of my life as I age and my eyes get worse, I will rely on this brilliant magnifier, with it's built-in lighting to help me see things. Like those small phone numbers on the back of credit cards. Could they have made them any smaller? And who decided that 9 point type was readable on a business card?
Nevertheless, I feel that I am in good hands with the support I will receive from this product. I won't be troubled by small type ever again!! If you are considering getting a cheaper or off-brand, I urge you to reconsider and purchase this product. You won't be disappointed. I know that I am very happy with my investment!

This is a nice sized and helpful reading tool that could easily be used and taken wherever you go. I actually ordered this for my 96 year-old aunt who has macular degeneration but it didn't help her. If anything she would definitely need a higher magnification but even that may not help. I've decided to keep it for myself because there have been several times where it was difficult to read a "small" print menu in a dimly lit restaurant. The LED lights are very helpful. Very responsive seller who Emailed tips for cleaning and usage.
This is very useful and helpful. As you can see from the pictures I posted it does magnify very well. You can also see the 3 LED lights, but the room was lit pretty well so you can't tell how much light they put out. In a dark room those lights are all you would need to read anything. It's well made and has some heft to it. There's a little slide button on the side for the lights. It also comes with a silky carrying case. Which is nice because it will keep it from getting scratched up. Overall, it is exactly what it claims to be and works very well. I received it at a discounted price in exchange for an honest review and I do recommend it. As a matter of fact I will be buying at least one more at full price. My mother liked it so well that I gave it to her and now I have to buy myself another one.
First, the customer relations @ FANCII is as good as it gets anywhere,...they really want to do right by the customer when purchasing one of their products.
I do agree with the reviews that make reference to the LEDS being exposed as they are to the naked eye, and that a piece of black electrical tape used to cover them makes for more visual comfort when viewing magnified material. The overall size/weight are reasonably comfortable to hold for short periods of time. The power of magnification and clarity is very good for even the smallest of print. The cloth carrying drawstring pouch is an additional 'perk'. I'm in my 70's and wear glasses and have no difficulty in using this product.

Nice product. I would recommend. I do like the separate pouch to keep lint etc off. In addition, the size will fit into my shirt pocket if needed while shopping. The convex surface has a plastic tape on it. I will leave that on until it becomes a problem with viewing. I wish I had looked into a higher magnification. This one is ample but I'm holding this tool about 5 inches above reading material. The lights are really nice, however, the very first thing I did was lay a strip of black electrical tape across the top surface because the lights are too strong back into readers eyes. I don't know why the product was sold that way. It's an easy fix. The lights are very useful. Normally, I would turn on my side table lamp for reading but now It is not necessary. Publishers sometimes will use black print over a photograph that happens to be to have a dark background. Good luck reading that. This tool takes care of that. The switch is handy to use for illuminating after you get used to it. I'm 80 years old but that is not a factor now days since eye surgeries can modify any ones vision and there will be great variances. in vision. Buy it. You will like it.
I ordered this due to this book I order with very small print.i usually don't need a magnifying glass but this book may have been in hardcover and they then put in paperback and the print is so small and close together it was hurting my eyes even with my glasses on.so this helps me too focus on the area I'm reading without hurting my eyes and trying to keep on track of the area I'm reading.

I bought this specifically for reading maps. Although I enjoy GPS capabilities, I never rely on them as I spend a fair amount of time in less traveled areas around the world. This product does the trick. The reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is due to the fact that the light on the front of the device are positioned in such a way so as to present some glare. That can be fixed easily, however, with a thinly cut strip of electrician's tape.
Nice little magnifier, comfortable and works well for reading books. Only complaint is the LEDs - because they sit in a clear area, they shine light indiscriminately, including in the reader's eyes, rendering it useless. A much better design would be to extend the black part of the handle and angle the light so that it's all directed at the page. I've retrofitted mine with black paint to block the glare, but you end up with wasted light. Angling the LEDs behind a dark plastic shield would improve functionality immeasurably.
