These are excellent for cleaning tubes, ports, or misc skin prep. These were the same kind the nurses used in the hospital.
PROS:
* These are slightly larger than the typical generic squares you get at your local pharmacy, and much better for cleaning things like ports or tubes.
* Because the size is bigger, it's very easy to tear open the packaging and get to the wipes. If you clean ports or tubes daily, you know how difficult it can be to juggle all little things.
CONS:
* Not really a con, but since these are larger I wouldn't get them for daily glucose testing. In my experience, all you need for the little finger poke are the generic (and cheaper) smaller square ones you can get at your local drugstore.
Better than the gel you get out of bottles for hand sanitizing because these are just alcohol. My skin hates hand sanitizer!
They also pack smaller than even the "purse" size bottles. Especially useful when camping - just make sure to pack out your waste!
I chose this product because the wipes are larger than most - check sizes of wipes carefully. Most are about 1x2", which is too small to wipe your hands with.
We keep these tucked away in various bags and drawers for random disinfectant needs. These were the largest size I could find, the others I found online are about half this size. They unfold to about a 4x2 inch rectangle. Very thin, but saturated in 70% alcohol solution. We didn't have any that were dried.
These are larger than standard prep pads at 1 3/4" x 3 1/2" unfolded, which I find ideal. The product stayed fully moist for the entire time since my first order, over 7 months. They are not only useful for prep but handy for cleaning small items. I have reordered, of course!
This is great and so convenient! My boyfriend uses it to clean his sleep machine instead of pouring alcohol on a paper towel and I use it on my nails! I do my own gel nails and after you do the top coat, you need to wipe the sticky part off with alcohol so we both use these wipes! Great value also!
