My teenage son and I are both migraine sufferers, often having 2-3 a week. We have tried all of the head wrap products out there, and this is by far our favorite. We both prefer cold relief during a migraine, so we typically keep this in the freezer so that it is ready to go when we need it. The wrap is consistently cold and provides even relief to the back of the neck and the front of the face/head simultaneously. It is also easily the softest wrap around, which makes a huge difference in comfort, as we typically like to lie down with a migraine. My son has sensory issues and many of the wraps are scratchy and wet, and that will not work for him. This wrap is so soft and smooth and comfortable to wear. But the best thing about this wrap to me is that you can also warm it up in the microwave if you would like to use it warm! Sometimes my shoulder tightness contributes to my migraines and this wrap is the perfect size to put on top of one shoulder and heat up those sore muscles that so often contribute to headache pain. In this way, I feel like I have gotten two amazing products for the price of one! When I warm it up I sometimes use it in conjunction with my Huggaroo neck and shoulder wrap for the ultimate in relaxing comfort! Hot or cold, this wrap always delivers, and I am planning to order another so my son will have his own! I haven’t had this wrap very long but, my first impression is that I have finally found a headache wrap that works. I ove the subtle, pleasant lavender smell. I’ve used it as both as a cold compress and a warm compress but, prefer the warmth. The wrap mantains the temperature longer than other wraps that I have tried. The outside material is perfectly soft and the Velcro closure allows it to fit different size heads and is infinitely adjustable for different amounts of pressure. I’ve suffered from migraines my whole adult life and this is the best headache wrap that I have found.
I love this thing and have found multiple uses for it!! I keep mine in the freezer anytime I’m not using it. I honestly feel naming it a “headache wrap” doesn’t do it justice. It’s not only super for a headache, but I’ve also wrapped it under my chin and on top my head for TMJ pain. It’s been used in our home for an aching knee, aching shoulder and ankle. My kids have used it as much as I have. It’s super soft and comfortable. We all love it as cold therapy and haven’t even used it in the microwave yet! Super versatile! Do yourself a favor and get one!
Just received mine and it's only half full. Otherwise it's great - stays warm where the filler is, very well-made, love the fabric. As my photos show, the filler slides together, so half of the wrap has nothing in it. So either half of my head is not warm, or I keep trying to push the filler around for coverage, and it leaves many spots with no filler so no warmth. I contacted the seller to ask if mine is defective and should have had more filler.
UPDATE: This awesome manufacturer/seller responded to me immediately and said they used to completely fill the wrap, but customers complained the wrap was too heavy and bulky when it was full. The amount of filler is what most consumers prefer so it's more lightweight and manageable, so they adjusted the amount to satisfy their customers.
I just have to write a review for another great product from Huggaroo! I've only had the wrap for a couple of weeks but it's great.
I want to give you an experience from a friend of mine bc I think it's amazing. My friend was in the hospital last week. While they were trying to diagnose her issues they took her off all pain medicine. She had a level 10 migraine. I let her borrow my wrap and it made such a difference. I long have searched for something of the right weight, size and ability to place pressure on the right places. This covers all the bases. It is adjustable width and you can wear it high or low on your forehead. It further helps for those like me that have light sensitivity.
I have to admit that I thought this was a little pricey but in the throes of a sinus infection, I was willing to giving it a try. I’m so glad I took a chance! The Hugaroo is extremely well made (in the USA) and high quality. It’s extremely soothing for a sinus headache and provides more relief than Tylenol. It provides moist heat and stays warm for at least an hour. I’ve also been using it on my back, shoulders and neck. Order a Hugaroo, you won’t regret it!
Love every single thing about this headwrap. I suffer from migraines and have since I was very young. This is the ONLY thing that helps me get things done around the house. I have three little girls so I don’t have time to be suffering on a daily basis. This is an awesome thing to have if you suffer!
We received our Hugaroo headache wrap a few days ago. The wrap has the same great quality as their neck wrap. And a wonderful aroma once microwaved. We highly recommend the wrap not for just headaches but for those stressful days when there is a need to relax!
Great for heating goes from Tom temperature to scorching hot after 1 minutein microwave, then cold enough to used in a matter of seconds. Not good for cooling pad. In freezer overnight, and still barely cooler than room temp. If bring used for heating great buy though
