This is one of the most innovative twists on the magnifier light. While other's have just the flexneck and clamp, this one is comes with a handle so you can use it like a traditional magnifying glass. This really comes in handy when needing to do things like read that barely discernible terms and conditions on bankcard statements, or other small print documents. Then if I need something to use when working with computer repair, or circuit boards, I can put the gooseneck clamp on and then have both hands free to what I need. I love this thing! The first arrived broken because of rough handling during shipment. The owner of the business, contacted me before the item arrived and said "if you have any issue, give me a chance to resolve it first and directly." I have to say, he was true to his word, promptly got me a replacement, was apologetic for something that wasn't his fault, and arranged for a replacement immediately. AWESOME Customer Support, recommend this Magnifying Light, AND the merchant for business.
This product worked a lot better once I figured out how to actually use it correctly. When it arrived it had a screw on handle on the glass rather than the clamp. I swapped the handle for the clamp and secured tightly.. That turned out to be my primary issue with this product. When using the desk clamp do not tighten the glass to the clamp completely, rather leave it loose so that you can clock the glass as needed to the item you are viewing. I was going bonkers trying to adjust the arm to get the light to stay in the correct position. If you leave the threaded connection loose you can simply turn the glass as needed. Sometimes the most obvious solutions are too close to see. Light and magnifier work great.
Great magnifier!. I bought this to use while doing needlepoint. It clamps securely to the frame without the clamp being too difficult to open. I had been using a Daylight Flexilens magnifier but the lens attaches to the arm with a screw and I was constantly having to tighten it or the lens would come loose and swing around. The Fancii is secure and stays in place with no problem. It is a great buy and I will probably be buying more since I have a number of projects that are in various stages of completion and don't want to have to move the magnifier from one to the other. Pros: It's amazingly well-designed and well-built for the price. The clamp is very solid, and looks like it will not mar surfaces. The lens is good. Customer service is great. Cons: The gooseneck is only about a foot long. It's not as bright as I had hoped. Then again, I'm probably older than the median user - and vision (like hopes and dreams) fades with advancing age. So perhaps it's fine for most uses.
Let me start with the fact that this lamp is not meant to light a room. It is meant to assist you with small activities at a desk or for reading purposes. With that in mind this product excels in that area.
With three setting you are able to adjust the light between Hi, Med and Low. The actual glass and light are removable from the flexible base and can attach to a small handle to make it into a magnifying glass. Speaking of the base it is actually pretty sturdy. The neck has a decent weight to it and the clip to secure it to whatever you want to use it on feels strong and not likely to fail.
All in all the magnification is good. I would recommend this to anyone that needs a budget lamp for miniature painting or even for reading. The fact that this is rechargeable and is portable makes it worth the extra money over one that plugs in.

As a repair technician, I really needed a lamp like this -- however most of the other offerings were corded and required a nearby AC outlet or the use of extension cords. Others had poor balancing in the base, and would tip over if the gooseneck was positioned in certain ways. This magnifier solves both of those problems.
It is very well designed. The clamp is strong and definitely will hold the lamp in place.
The gooseneck itself seems to be holding up well so far (I have had problems here with other units, where the neck would begin to droop and not hold its position). So far so good here.
As for the magnification itself, it is better than I expected. When I read 3X magnification, I had wondered if that would be sufficient to see small SMD components during soldering and rework, but I was pleasantly surprised. No problems here, even when working on small circuit boards.
What else is there to say... the light does a fine job illuminating any dark areas. with a toggle switch that lets you switch between three levels of brightness and OFF. I only ever use MAX and OFF.
The package also came with a cleaning cloth and a handle which will turn the unit into a handheld... no need for that here, but it was a nice bonus for those who would use it.
It charges by USB, and has an indicator light when fully charged.
Overall, I highly recommend this. Great value for the price.
The lamp is awesome! I'm currently using it for diamond painting, and trying to see the tiny spots where each gem is placed was driving me crazy, not to mention the strain on the eyes. Found this lamp on Amazon, ordered it, arrived on time, now I can continue on with my craft. Lamp also can be used as a hand held magnifyier. An extra device comes in the box that the magnifier can be screwed onto, making the lamp into a hand held one. Also, comes with a charger for the light battery.
This has been a great product that one shouldn't think twice about getting. For small electronics work it is invaluable. The optics are really good and the uniform LED lighting works great. The clamp and adjustable goose neck allows for lots of positioning and mounting options. I also really like the USB recharging system. If you need something like this...this is the one to get.
Exactly what I needed! I use it to do my nails and it provides the right amount of magnification to see small details. The light is bright and it starts to dim to indicate it will need to be charged again soon. It comes with a USB. The flexible neck allows me to move it in any direction and it stays in the position I put it in. The USB charging cord is not long so I have to unclasp it to charge it. If you have a plug close by, you can charge it while using it. I'd say the cord is about 18 inches. I received an email that told me to charge it for about 6 hours before using it for the first time, but I didn't read the email prior to using it so I don't know what the difference would be. There is a light that is red while charging and turns green when fully charged.
**Update 1/15/18 -after charging it a few times, I'm noticing that the plug into the lamp is getting finicky, meaning I have to make sure it is positioned in a way that it charges as indicated by the red light. It feels like its getting loose or something. I think the last two times I charged it, once it was green, I would touch the lamp to go to unplug it and the charging light would turn red again so I would leave it charging a little more. I'm not sure why this is happening. I also just measured the charging cord and its 20 inches all stretched out.
This is a pretty good tool - esp for the price. Two things that keep me from 5 stars - 1) the lights are not as bright as I would like, there are 3 settings but even the brightest could be brighter. They don't last hours, but you can plug it in while you're using it which can be awkward but handy. It's also not as big as I'd like, I know the size is listed, but this is my first one and until you actually use it, it's hard to put into perspective. Clamp is good and strong (as long as it's horizontal) as is the gooseneck, never had to worry about it slipping.
