This is the perfect sleeping mask. Most of them are flat and lay atop your eyes. This one is molded so it never touches your eyes. Plus it comes in a lot of lovely colors and patterns including my favorite chevron purple. It also does a great job of blocking out almost all the light, sometimes you can get it on just right and it blocks out 100% of the light, no little cracks of light peeking through.
Funny side story, one time on a plane trip home during a stop that I couldn't get off I had rearranged some of my stuff and had attached my sleeping mask to the back of the seat in front of me so I wouldn't lose it. I get everything is stowed away and I'm already to get settled in and realize my sleeping mask is gone. I page the stewardess and ask her about it and she looks at me kind of weird and then I suddenly realized what she thought it was, a bra for a young girl. I explained it was a sleeping mask and we both had a good laugh.
I need to use a sleeping mask every night, so I go through multiple a year. I’ve used heavier masks that you can put in the freezer, and ones from the dollar store. I love this style of mask because I can use it when I have makeup on for a nap, and it honestly blocks out more light than any other style I’ve used. However, the fabric on the inside of the mask doesn’t hold up well; it took about six months of constant use before the layers toward my face started lifting.
The chevron pattern which is molded into the mask makes it stiffer and less comfortable. The edges press into your face and the whole cupped part bends in at times when you lie on your side and you feel it pressing on your eye.
Very comfortable on your face and don't push on your eyes. I removed one star as the velcro sits right at the back of your head and is annoying when you lean back. Would be better placed on the side. We have several pairs. They eventually wear out if you wash them after travelling but for the cost that's not a big deal after a year or two of use.
It was time to replace my previous Bucky eye mask. I used it to death and it was separating at the seams. Can't sleep without it and it doesn't mess with my eyes or hair!

I really like it, but it only lasted 5 months before it started coming apart... I was hoping to get at least a year out of it.

Lasted about a year before the color started to peel. At the price we paid, it’s probably still worth it, but I’ll be looking for a higher quality, longer lasting product soon.
Excellent product. Keeps the light out and adjustable strap makes it easy to size for comfort.
Bought this for my daughter who is 9. She loves it and takes it on every long car trip and uses it most nights in bed.
