I got these gloves primarily to wear during messy activities, but also as a "cosmetic" glove to allow lotions to soak into my dry hands. I didn't want a tight-fitting glove since I sometimes even sleep with lotioned hands, so I ordered large (I am a woman with a size-7 ring finger). That size is fairly loose on me and reaches several inches past my wrist.
For my purposes, these gloves are thick enough; no issues with my fingernails poking through. If I needed to wear them for precise work, I would definitely buy medium instead of large so my fingertips would be properly fitted. These are absolutely disposable in quality, so don't expect to use a single pair for a long period of time or more than once.
I was looking for gloves to use while handling raw meat in the kitchen. Having an infant means I have to ensure that my hands are scrupulously clean at all times and after looking at endless similar gloves on Amazon I settled on these. I must say they are awesome and do the job well. I have very slim hands and the size s has a super fit, the thickness is also just right, thin enough for you to have a good grip on slippery raw meat but thick enough not to bunch up on itself. The fit at the wrist is also perfect for me. This is definitely a keeper in my kitchen and will become a definite staple.
I purchased this so that when I have to touch meat or making food for lots of people, I can use these.
I bought it around $5 for the box and that was the price range that I was looking for.
Very pleased with the product.
I am very pleased with these gloves. They are thick enough that I can actually take them off and reuse them. I know they're meant to be disposable but if I just use one for something quick it's worth it (to me anyway) to save. I love to clean with Lysol wipes but hate the smell they leave on my skin. These gloves do not allow those smells to leach through. I will definitely buy again. Just to give you an idea for sizing I am 5' 5" and weigh about 135 lb. I purchased a size medium which fit with just a little bit of wiggle room. I hope this helps.
I've been ordering tons of disposable gloves lately--I use them to put trash in my condo dumpsters, light cleaning tasks (emptying the vacuum cleaner) for which I don't need the long yellow gloves, cleaning the litter box. So I finally got smart and ordered a case of 1000, and the savings are phenomenal (3.78 per 100 versus > 13.00 that I would have to pay if I bought locally here in the middle of nowhere). I have a small-to-average woman's hand and the "Large" fits perfectly: I like them loose so that I can put them on if my hands are damp or sweaty. I did not detect an odor any stronger than that of the several other brands of gloves I've tried. However, the fingers are really long--I've got a good 1/2" on most fingers. You can see this in the photo: the glove is stretched tightly between thumb and forefinger, but you can see the extra room in the fingers. That doesn't bother me for the tasks I mentioned, but I just bought one box of Latex Pro-Tection Glove (size large), which is another brand that I've bought before. The finger fit on these is perfect, so I'll use them for some tasks where the fingerflop would get in the way, such as painting, and definitely for peeling and chopping hot peppers, since I don't want my flavorings to include vinyl :). But I'm still thrilled with the value on the Ammex gloves.

GlovePlus Powder Free Vinyl Disposable Gloves are industrial grade, made from PVC vinyl, so those with latex allergies can rest assured because they are latex free. These select quality vinyl gloves feature excellent sensitivity in the palm and fingertips, as well as a smooth fit and feel. They are powder free, so when creating a seal, or working with wet paint, you won’t have to worry about messy powder residue. Vinyl gloves are popular in the janitorial and sanitation, painting, beauty, food service and food processing industries. Around the home, these vinyl gloves can be used indoors or outdoors, in the kitchen or garage for cleaning, home maintenance, painting, yard work, pet care, arts and crafts. Disposable and limited-use gloves are used in medical, forensic, scientific, food service and industrial applications. Disposable gloves are commonly made from flexible materials such as latex, nitrile, chloroprene and vinyl. While most disposable gloves are designed for use on either hand, some can be purchased in hand-specific models. They are offered powdered or powder-free; silicone or silicone-free; chlorinated or non-chlorinated; coated or uncoated; with a standard- or extended-length cuff; sterile or non-sterile; and with textured or smooth fingers, fingertips and palms. Chemical resistance means the glove helps protect the hand from certain chemicals and varies by glove material. For information on the chemical resistance of this glove, consult the AMMEX chemical resistance guide.
AMMEX distributes medical and industrial products such as gloves, first aid supplies, face masks and other protective coverings. The company, founded in 1988, is headquartered in Kent, WA.
Being vinyl and not latex allows these looser fitting gloves can be removed, dried and used several times (depending what you are using them for) unlike the surgical tight fitting kind that usually tear if you try to recycle them. However I wish that these were about 3 inches longer so they would cover my shirt cuffs.
I found these gloves perfect for any number of uses around the home or workshop. I like the fact that they are a sturdy 4 mil thick and are plenty strong to protect my hands when I’m staining or painting. They haven’t torn on me or fallen apart during use as some others brands have. I bought the X-large and find they barely fit my hands, so they do run a bit small in size. I suggest buying them one size up from what you think you need.
They are also handy when applying transdermal medication to cats, dogs, and goats. I use one when I apply external flea and heartworm meds to my dogs and when I have to put a medicated thyroid gel on a cat and medicated powders on goats.
Overall, very much worth five stars for price and utility.
Perfect gloves for cosmetic applications, especially benzoyl peroxide wash and paste. With these gloves, you can protect your skin from getting dried out and irritated. I use only one glove per application to be more economical. They fit as well as could be expected, it takes a little effort to get the widest part of my hand in, but the finger length and width are good (I got large - I'm sure medium would be too small and XL too large).
The last vinyl gloves I had were a same sized box of the blue type, and they were perfect, but this time I tried these and saved some bucks. They are good enough, just slightly less sturdy. I primarily use them when I'm handling wood stains and coats, and insulations and glues. For all that, they do the job. The only negative I would say, and it's minor, is when I'm pulling them onto my hands, if only pinching between one finger and thumb, they will rip at that point. Not bad enough to take off and replace, but it does reduce the area of coverage where the back of hand meets wrist. I simple adjusted to using a thumb and two fingers to pull them on, which spreads the pressure applied to the vinyl, and it works. They are less expensive, so it's hard to complain, especially when they are perfectly fine at keeping my hands clean until I take them off. Their thinness is the only reason for me to grant less than 5 stars. No defects or delivery problems. Good gloves.
Easy on, easy off (for reuse) and remarkably strong. Go on and off way better than nitrile. Latex is hard on, hard off, and then it tears or punctures. I will buy these again. No more nitriles for me. Latex still good for dexterity. Note: Vinyl is not a rubber so do not expect it to STRETCH over your hand. If a certain size latex works for you, get vinyl in a size larger. These are very inexpensive disposable gloves. They are not WORK gloves. They hold up very well for what they are but do not expect miracles from a 4 cent glove. Good resistance to many chemicals but some will attack them. This is true of everything.
