I have thick medium length straight hair and can use this bamboo comb if my hair is dry, damp or even wet. It is made of bamboo and the teeth of the comb are nicely spaced out -- they are not too close enough together that it would cause breakage combing it wet. I originally purchased this from the Body Shop years ago however after leaving it on a damp towel it started to bow and eventually I broke it because I ungracefully tried to make it straight again. So when I saw this on Amazon I really wanted to replace the one I adored for many years (I believe I owed it for seven years or so). Also when I first used this comb my hair was quite long and it was the only hair tool I used and it really allowed my hair to look great by gently massaging my scalp and keeping my hair looking healthy and shiny. I really do love this comb and find it study enough to throw in my purse daily and ideally compact for minimalist travel.

I use mine for combing wet hair after getting out of the shower. It does not snag hair; wide, rounded teeth are so smooth.
So happy to find this since The Body Shop has pulled all retail stores in my city; and they no longer sell this comb on their site.

This wooden comb with its wide-spaced teeth is incredibly nice for combing through fine hair after shampooing. Being wood, it's also non-staticky for dry hair. Finally, it's small and fits easily into a pocket or small purse. I've owned three of these over the years and have found them an excellent investment.
I bought this for my long hair and my daughters hair too. It's not as smooth as I was expecting and if it gets submerged (aka let you daughter play with it in the tub on accident) it will warp. It is wood after all!. But it flattened out after being pressed between some big books overnight.
It works and gets the tangles out of long hair much easier than regular combs or brushed. And I don't use detangling cream or spray either.
I Accidently Threw Out The Comb With Another Order But Was Able To Retrieve It Out Of The Trash! So You Can Throw It Out And It's Still Great! Glad I Realized It Before Trash Day! Sturdy, Earthy, Cool!

Love this comb! So much better than metal or plastic. Doesn't bend and the teeth are wide enough that it won't snag your hair. I'm buying all bamboo hair care from now on! Just received two bamboo brush via Prime today.
It runs through my hair often easier than past combs have for me! I swore against combs because of the trouble I've had in the past, but I've gotten back on the band wagon with this comb.
It is a little smaller than I expected, but for unknotting long, wet hair, it works well.
I bought this comb from the Body Shop four years ago and it is still holding up nicely. I love that it detangles my long hair painlessly and without breaking the strands. My mom has always admired the comb and since I have moved away from the nearest Body Shop, I decided to try my luck at finding it on amazon. The comb came in perfect condition and had quick delivery. My mom absolutely loves it.
tip: if you use it in the shower it will start to curve upwards when wet (made of bamboo), but if you take it out of the humidity and leave it on the dry counter it will straighten back out again.
I haven't had a nice wooden comb for a long time. This is adored by the whole family!
