have popped nickel sized blisters in the middle of both my hands from some cyclocross racing with the wrong gloves. can't get anything to stay on my palms; was hopeful after reading the reviews that this might.
well, the good news is that it stays on, as long as water doesn't touch it. the bad news, once water touches it, it comes right off. I specifically made sure my hands were very dry on application, with no lotion or other products, just straight on dry skin. to be clear, this is still better than the other blister product I tried (Band-Aid brand) that didn't even make it to water before starting to come up.
the gel pieces are a plus, they do keep the open blister moist. I am still not sure whether I am supposed to just remove the blue plastic from the gel piece, or the blue and white plastic (from both sides). so I did it both ways, one on each palm. definitely the hydrated gel stays hydrated longer with the white plastic left on the back, and the bandage part seemed to stick better because less moisture soaked into it from the gel. YMMV.
Overall, well designed product, just don't expect it to last through any type of water if you have my luck. would buy again, as I haven't found anything better.
The squidgy wet bits successfully prevented new blisters in a place on my foot where I regularly get blisters during speed skating practice. The adhesive strips held on well to both my feet and the squidgy wet bits and didn't wander off. The foam bits work good for preventing rubbing too, but the adhesive on those isn't as strong and I had a bit of trouble with one piece trying to wander off.
Might have to buy more of the adhesive and the wet bits in bulk, since blisters and speed skating are essentially inseparable.
This blister kit is a lifesaver. Took it out on about 10+ backpacking trips last summer with a group of 10-15. Saw every kinda blister - small ones to some big ole bearcats. What I like most is the flexibility. You can cut the moleskin to the size you need and layer it depending on need. The gel is phenomenal. Offered immediate relief while cushioning.
Note: I did need to reinforce with athletic tape to ensure it stayed. If not, it would slip off in the shoe, which I think is the nature of the adhesive on the thin moleskin.
I used these to cover large blood blisters that I got right before a marathon. Was able to run the entire marathon and these didn’t budge. Didn’t feel the blisters at all. Now I always carry these when I travel or have to wear super uncomfortable shoes. *note* I used in combination with skin prep/skin barrier from Smith&nephew, which greatly improves adhesion
When I was younger I borrowed a pair of soccer cleats from a friend that were too big. I ended up with 2 inch round blisters on the balls of my feet. Obviously unable to walk, the sport nurse suggested 2nd skin and it was like nothing was wrong with my feet! I have use it sporadically throughout the last 12 years when I am in a new place walking more than expected and I always bring it on a trip I know I will walk a ton. Our last vacation, to Disney World, I brought this kit as a backup in case my comfortable shoes didn't stay as comfy. I used the moleskin on the back of my ankles, where my sneakers sat, and they prevented blisters and lasted through rain and a shower. I don't go on any trip without them and the best product out there. I find it hard to find in a store near me, so it's nice to be able to get it so easily online, and usually cheaper than the one store in our area who randomly carries it.

Description
Helps prevent and manage blisters. 2nd skin moist pads (non-sterile) help protect against pressure, friction and blisters. adhesive knit helps prevent blisters and holds 2nd skin® moist pads in place. pressure pads protect “hot spots” on the skin, especially the joints of the feet, hands, knees and elbows. latex free.
If you put it on dry skin, it stays on tight and protects the skin well from blisters. My new cleats were rubbing me a little on one foot, but these protected my blister and prevented new ones. I also like that it stays on for a couple days, if I am playing multiple days in a row. Have not used the wet gel yet because I have no broken blisters. Just used the padding and the covering.
I used the moist pad and fiber pad together to protect the blisters that had formed on the balls of my feet, and then completed a 5k walk. The pads worked great and my feet were more comfortable and no more blisters formed. I didn't use the included foam pads, as I figured I had enough padding, and it worked for me.
I am an ultra runner, meaning I run 50 and 100 milers. I got this for blisters that came up during runs but it would fall off. This is a nice product but its more for after the activity is finished and I need to hobble around with some added protection.
These worked great for keeping blisters off of my feet. I had to use medical tape to keep them on my feet though. The fabric coverings don't come with a crack and peel on the sticker backing so they're kind of hard to peel off the backing.
This stuff really works! If I wear loafers to work, I am guaranteed to get a blister on one or both of my heels. It stinks! I found these on Amazon, and I fixed my niece's busted up, dance feet with these blisters covers and tape as well as mine. Now she is ordering them on a regular basis. The tape lasts for several days on your heel as well, versus a band-aid barely staying on an hour or two. I was resorting to medical tape before finding these amazing things!
