Best hot/cold pack eye mask out there. I've tried pretty much all of them. This is the most durable and covers the largest area, making sure to get all of your eye (and surrounding area). I like the fuzzy side, but i usually go directly with eye on plastic since that side is hotter.
Love that one side is soft. I use that side when I first take it out of the freezer, then switch it to the other side once it has melted a bit.
I decided to buy this eye mask because I suffer from migraine headaches, and having something cold helps relieve the pain in a major way! This is so practical because it’s so confortable, it’s a good size and it freezes really fast.
I ended up buying one more to have one in the freezer while I’m using the other one, so if you are dealing with something similar to what I’m dealing with, I recommend you buying 2 of them to do the same. This product helped you wonders! I’m completely satisfied with my purchase.
Recently, I had been having migraines for about 3 weeks straight, so I purchased this mask and got it within a couple of days. It helped relieve some of my migraine (when it first starts out). It doesn't take long to get cold. I also liked the mask part, because I was able to block out most of the light that was also intensifying my migraine. I have only used it for cold, not heat. I was able to use my CPAP nasal pillows with this on at the same time. The fabric is nice and soft. It also comes with a bag to put it in when you put it in the freezer so it won't pick up any smells.
Love this eye mask. My doctor told me that I must use heat on my eyes about five times a day. He suggested an eye mask that could be heated in the microwave. Love this product. It’s kind of stiff when I take it out of the freezer but quickly adjusts and feels wonderful. It’s big enough to cover my forehead as well as my eyes, a fantastic plus when you have a headache. I also like the adjustable Velcro band as I can wear it tight or loosen it when needed. Best of all, it stays cold for about an hour - another reason for recommending it.
I bought this for an eye procedure I needed on both eyes. I only used it frozen but It was perfect. The backing is soft and the mask itself is larger than most so it wrapped around to the side on my head a bit. I found it lasted much longer than 1 I had bought at walmart that broke after a month. I highly recommend this one! It made my corneal infection bearable and am so glad I had it
The gel beads don't "hold" the cold quite the same way that a typical gel ice pack would, so it gets warm again fairly quickly. But it's still really soothing against the eyes, and it's nice that it's not THAT cold, because that would be too much on such a sensitive area. It's really soft and nice, on both sides but especially the "plush" side, and you can put it straight in the freezer -- it doesn't seem to hold odors at all, which is really nice. I use it when I have a headache/migraine, and it's super nice for that.
I have chronic blepharitis, which means that the glands in my tear in my eyelids are getting blocked and irritating my left eye. My ophthalmologist recommended that I use this to warm up the junk blocking those glands before I actually wash my eyelids. Of all the products that I reviewed on Amazon, this one stood out head and shoulders above the others.
Would always recommend this eye mask to anyone who either just wants to rest their eyes, or if their eyes are sore (short term only until your see an eye doctor - ophthalmologist not an optometrist!)
I love this mask! I've only used this as a heating pack and it works very well. It takes longer to heat than the instructions, which likely is the result of my microwave, and it does have some unpleasant plastic odor at first, but once on my face, it feels so good. I like the soft terry lining: it feels good and it absorbs the moisture that occurs when the heating mask is on the face for a while. It's easy to reheat, too.
