Be careful on the sizing of the argyles. They're quite a bit tighter than the same size socks that aren't argyle. I think the stitching that makes up the pattern contributes additional tension that's not normally there, so be sure to take that into consideration when selecting the size.
UPDATE: 1/30/2016
I received a most sincere email from CompressionZ in response to my review. They said "We are a small family-owned business, and unlike the larger corporations, interact very regularly and stay 'close to the ground' to gather customer feedback to constantly improve.
Though we might lack the resources of the larger corporations, we try to make that up in our customer service and personal touch."
Unasked for, they refunded the full amount of my purchase, and even gave me a generous discount on my next purchase. Frankly, I am impressed. I wholeheartedly believe in supporting companies that try there hardest to take care of the customers. There are too few of them and it's difficult for them to compete against the "big guys". I will be doing more business with CompressionZ. They've earned my support and my thanks.
I originally gave them 2 stars but in retrospect I believe that was too harsh and have changed it to 4 stars. They were too small, true, but the company addressed the issue to my satisfaction.
Love these things! Ive had lyphedema since i was about 12 so i needed some good compression hose to keep it under control. One of my biggest complaints is the fact that almost all compression hose look like crap. These socks (I purchased 4 of the black and white with 30-40mmHg compression by the way.) look and feel great, give good compression, and are at a great price compaired to other brands. Sizing was pretty much on point with the chart in my experience. My only slight negative would be that the upper cuff/band below the knee feels a little more snug than i feel it should, but doesn't appear to affect normal fluid movement. Good product, looks great, seems to be of good quality, and offers good compression
Took a long time to put on, and I nearly gave up...but don't give up. I am wearing them for dysautonomia, and I had almost instant relief to my leg nerve pain. Very cool. Almost magical.
First pair of compression socks, love the color (helps me feel like "myself", not my syndrome), and seem to be excellent quality.
Try em out!
This is for the CompressionZ 30-40mmHg socks. I've been looking for something more than the 20-30mmHg & made of better materials. I think this is it. They are tight. I expect them to be tight~ they are compression socks after all. However, they are incredibly comfortable for this pressure size. When I got this pair I immediately put them on to see what I have and wore them for hours. Although they might be a piece of work to get them on, it is worth it. I wore them the entire next day without any hassles or discomfort. There are many that write they are small. I wear a size 10 when my feet are not swelled, I'm up to an 11 because of the swelling. These large fit me fine. Again, they feel tight when putting them on, but once on, I think they are hard to beat. (Maybe consider some adaptive device to help get them on?) Anyway, I have 2 more in the shopping cart... **click**
I bought these because I have been developing varicose veins during the last few months of my pregnancy. I wear a women's size 7 or 7.5 in shoes, my ankles have a circumference of 20.5 cm at the smallest point and my calves have a circumference of 37 cm at the widest point. The size S is a perfect fit! The socks are nice and roomy at the toes while tight on the entire length of my lower leg and long/tight enough to stay up all day. The compression level is very comfortable also.
Since I started wearing compression socks, I haven't seen any further development of those pesky varicose veins, and there might even be a bit of improvement - or perhaps that is wishful thinking. Either way I highly recommend these socks!

Great!! These socks fit well and look great too. Although the first time I put them on that felt like a workout in itself! Hahaha.
They are wonderful. I got a medium and wear size 8 1/2 shoes.
I got a pair for my friend and she agreed with the review.
My job requires me to sit for long hours. I have noticed my legs feeling heavy and my ankles and feet swelling. A nurse/co-worker kept suggesting compression socks. Never wearing anything like them, I was hesitant. The first day I only wore them for a couple of hours because they felt uncomfortable to me (and I really don't like wearing socks of any kind). They were hard to put on and take off. The second day I wore them a little longer (still hard getting on and off). They still felt slightly uncomfortable, but I noticed my legs didn't feel as heavy and less swelling in my ankles and feet. Four days later I have become accustomed to them and can't imaging not wearing them. They take a bit to get used to, but the benefit of not having swelling or puffiness and my legs feeling good surpasses the chore of pulling them on. These are great compression socks and I will be purchasing more. Hoping they will start making more fun designs and colors.
Taking my office nerdiness to the next level 🤓
I wear an 8 1/2, sometimes 9, and purchased medium. They stay tight, never move or slide down, have washed them on delicate and hung dry, still fit perfect without any problems. These socks ROCK!!!
I bought one pair of CompressionZ's white 30-40mmHG socks in May 2017, and I love them so much that I'm back in August to buy two more pair, one each of white and black, in my cart.
To offer a short story, I'm 6'4", 245 lbs, and 42 y/o with clot in right calf (DVT). I tried a lower compression strength for weeks, wore them all day and night (except to wash!), yet toes still weren't comfortable in tennis or dress shoes. My CompressionZ socks finally gave relief for puffy-swollen toes and calf, foot's temp, and generally improved outlook on healing! Like other Amazon reviews, I found the sock's top band to be extremely tight, but here's my tip to get sock on and overcome this issue: put toes fully into sock's silver-toe area, maintain good grip with thumbs in sock, and gradually pull material over heel. Then, ease remainder over calf and up to knee. Finally, fold down \ over the rest by ~1/2" to 1" (see picture) as needed to minimize end-of-day band.
For care, I wash them without bleach and put in dryer on "Permanent Press" setting. (Extra tip: if you've got worn wood floors like me, maybe get padded slippers to add comfort and protect your CompressionZ socks against nail pops, which can snag threads and lead to holes.)
I hope this review helped to inform your potential purchase!
I read the reviews on these socks and wasn't sure if I would like them and was worried that they wouldn't fit but I liked the idea of the padding in them so I bought a pair. I opened the package and pulled them out and they were short! They only came about 1/2 way up my calf. I thought, "Oh, rats. People were right when they said they are too short!" Well, I decided to try them on anyway because I didn't like the socks I had. WOW! OH, WOW! I couldn't believe how comfortable these socks are and how well they fit. I can't wait to put them on in the morning and hate to take them off at night. These socks are so comfortable and fit so well, without binding, pinching, squeezing, or any other irritation. The fit is just right, the stretch is just right, and the padding is perfect. Plus, the fabric feels so good on my feet and legs. I know that they are compression socks and I know that they squeeze my legs, but the pressure is so balanced across my leg that they just feel good. The padding is excellent and seems to be in just the right places. I was really shocked the first time I put them on. Not only did they slide on easier than the other compression socks I had used, they just felt right - I mean, just right - and I knew I had found something special. Rather than squeezing my legs, they feel like they are caressing them. Plus, when I do have to take them off, they slide right off rather than fighting me like so many others seemed to do. I know the pressure is there when I have them on but instead of being irksome, they have a feeling that seems like they were made for my legs and fit just right everywhere on my leg, ankle, and foot. I strongly recommend these socks to everyone and I hope your experience is as exceptional as mine. If it isn't, I am truly sorry, because you are missing something rare.
I was a little concerned after reading reviews indicating that these socks would be too short, and I can see where this would definitely be the case for ladies blessed with nice log legs. They would not work for either of my six-foot daughters, but the legs on this 5'5" woman (which are built with the peculiar proportions of a turkey drumstick) fit the length of these socks perfectly. In fact, a lot of other compression socks are a bit too long for me, and I end up with a bunched-up spot somewhere - usually cutting off my circulation. All of which is to say, these are great for med-short legs, maybe not so much for otherwise enviable long ones.
Getting them on is a bit of wrestlemania, but that's what I was looking for, as too little compression is useless following a pulmonary embolism, multiple DVTs, and strokes. Yep, I'm the clot-trifecta, try to contain your jealousy.
My feet and ankles are also disproportionately narrow compared to my linebacker-esque calves. These socks actually squeeze those a little bit too, which is unheard of for my drumsticks.
For me, these are perfect. For supermodel length ladies, they probably won't be.
