Classic(R) Uncorded Earplugs in Value Pak 390-1000

I sleep every night with these in my ears. I buy the big box since it's usually the price of 3 packages from my local everything mart. I can use a new set every night (though usually a pair last 3 nights). Since they are list in their box the only waste generated is the worn out ear plugs. The box is a great size for stashing small things while they wait for their owner to search for them.

These ear plugs roll up easily, fit my ears and anyone else I've given some to (fireworks, snoring, etc). They block even the loudest snores very well and are so much more comfortable to wear than the formed squeaky plastic ones. I have never slept through an alarm while wearing these, but that could be the dual noise awareness training of 7 years in the Navy and 4 times that parenting.

Oh. NOW I see that it was described as a bulk box of loose unwrapped earplugs. The last one I bought was each pair wrapped and took up a lot more space. This is a nice compact tiny box. I guess they wouldn't sell them unwrapped if dirt was an issue? I'm going to enjoy not having the wrappers surrounding my bed for the next three months! And this box will be way more convenient next to my bed than the photo box with a lid that I couldn't do with one hand in its position. One handed ease is needed for my use which is going to bed way too late and not needing any more hassles.

Discovered these during a hospital stay and now at home I no longer scream my head off when I get woken up accidentally.

I noticed many of the reviewers want earplugs for sleeping. I use them to protect my ears on my motorcycle or while doing loud yardwork. I've tried a lot of different, much more expensive, earplugs for both uses as I really want to block as much noise as possible and the problem w/ almost all of them is that everyone's ear canal is shaped different and even though the dB rating may be higher, they let a lot more noise in if they don't fit the ear correctly. The similar kind of bowling pin shaped foam ones I've tried tend to be a little smaller and don't rebound as well to prevent noise from coming in; tho for sleeping, perhaps the less rebound and pressure would be more comfortable as less noise needs to be blocked.
Overall, this is an awesome deal on a basic earplug that'll cost a lot more if I picked them up in pharmacies or gas stations and since they last a long time if my fingers and ears are clean, should last a few years. Just roll it into a narrow cylinder between the fingers, pull the skin in front of the ear forward to open and straighten the canal, insert, and in 30 seconds or so the world goes quiet.

I have been using these for about 4 years, they work great they don’t bother your ears, I use one in my right ear at bed time, so my hearing isn’t affected from the air conditioner, or fans we use. They will make you go deaf, I have never had problems with them., I am a side sleeper so I only need to use one in my right ear.

I have purchased these boxed earplugs off and on from several different sources over the years. I am a light sleeper so I use these quite a bit. I have found them to be very good and I have not noticed any physically related problems with using them over the years. I highly recommend them. Since I have mostly lived in apartments I also use them sometimes when I need to concentrate on reading or studying or, when someone can't keep their TV or stereo down to a reasonable level. I received the two boxes in excellent, unsealed, undamaged shape. The slight issue I have with them is putting them in correctly. I now turn on the water faucet to a least a mild stream and then insert the plugs into my ears. I can tell if they are actually working that way. Sometimes just stuffing them into the ear doesn't really do much good. I do not considered that a product fault. You just need to know that there are right ways to insert ear plugs so they actually deaden the sound properly.

Description

Classic(R) Uncorded Earplugs in Value Pak 390-1000

I am a seriously light sleeper. I hear every tic, bump or car in the night. I started using this brand of earplug years ago when working in a noisy fabrication company, and then started sleeping with them. As fate would have it, I left there, and the local stores I lived by changed the brands that they carried. The new ones were uncomfortable, leaving my ears hurting in the morning.

I bought these knowing full well that they were only for me, so I was fine not having them individually packaged. I also dont have any issues with them getting harder, as I just hold them in my hands for a minute before using them. The ear plugs fit the ear better than the other plugs, and thus seal out noises better.

I am extremely happy that I found and purchased these.

BTW, I received my order the very next day, service was spectacular.

You'll find some mixed reviews about these things from various people. I was looking at the reviews and also the general shape of these and they don't look like they'll "fit" if you go by the photo alone. However, they do compress down very easily. Press them all the way around and stick them in. When they expand, you won't hear much of anything. They're much better than I thought they would be and they are a great price, too.

Since my ears are damaged with some Tinitus custom molded plus won't work without ringing. These when put in all the way are nice and quiet with no ringing while riding the motorcycle and I can also hear my bluetooth in the helmet . To install I roll them down between my finger tips to about 1/3 their original diameter then lick a bit of the end going into the ear first for some lubrication, then reach over my head with the oposite hand and pull up on the ear to open the earway more. While still holding the plug compressed wiggle it into the canal almost to the eardrum. Then keep your fingertip on the end of the plug so it won't back out.

I've tried so many different earplugs and none are perfect. Most are too big for my little ear canals. This is the type my hubby uses at his work and he brought me a set to try and they worked out better than anything else I'd tried.

I really HATE using earplugs but have to since I live on a highway - my home is located on a highway. It's LOUD.

Anyway......these work real well and I can roll them real small and get them in my small-ish ears. The price was fair as well.

Recommended. Thank you.

Have used these for years in the army, so I bought these in bulk so I can stash them everywhere I might need some. Somewhere I read another reviewer mention that they can dry out and get stiff (but still useable), everyone called him crazy. I can confirm that left if out and exposed that can happen, but maybe not if they are kept in the box. To be safe, grab handfuls and stick them in zip locks if you're not going to use them all within the next year.
