I was originally given one of these by my mom, just so I would have an ice pack on hand. I loved it so much, I looked it up on Amazon and ordered a second to keep in our travel trailer. I get headaches that radiate from behind my eyes. I keep this gel pack in the freezer, grab it and wrap it in a washcloth and lay it on my eyes. The pack is big enough to cool my temples and the weight of it is not too heavy on my eyes, and it's pliable enough even when frozen to contour to my face. Fabulous for hangovers. Lasts a long time, I've had my first one for years. Retains cold temperature for a long time, I usually fall asleep with it on my face.
I was given two of these by my neurosurgeon's office so that I can ice after my lumbar spine surgery. I liked them so much I bought two more for work so I can ice at work at at home. They fit PERFECTLY inside of the pocket in the back of my back brace so I can ice properly and heat (once I'm at that stage of healing).
They're sturdy and you can lay on them without bursting. These will be perfect to place on the base of my neck too when I have a migraine.
Thank you for making a quality product that allows you to heat or ice!
Just the right size for heating hand or fingers for hand therapy. Heats well in very short time in a small microwave - just follow the directions. Heat lasts 10-20 minutes in use when wrapped in a cloth - need to wrap in a cloth to keep it from burning skin. After about a month of daily use the gel seems to break down and feel more like a liquid in the bag, but so far that hasn't effected ability to heat it. Covering seems tough enough to not leak but need to take care to keep away from sharp object like pencils, silverware, etc.
What I like most about this product is that the bags have just the right amount of gel in them. If the bags are over-stuffed, you cannot maneuver them to wrap around the area you place them. And if they are under-filled, they will not hold heat or cold for very long. Also, I have had over-stuffed bags break open and lose gel, which is not too safe--who knows what is really inside these?
These are my favorite bags so far.
I ordered two to use after I had knee replacement. During the first two weeks post surgery I used larger ice packs that were sent home with me. After two weeks I have used these through out the day and night. I have been extremely happy with these.

Feature Product
- Made using poly/nylon bags and non-toxic gel, packs can be microwaved or boiled for hot therapy or frozen for two hours for cold therapy

Description
Accu-Therm Hot/Cold Gel Packs.
I was forced to replace a couple of Ace Reusable Cold Compress packs after they both started leaking gel. These were the best reviewed reusable ice packs out of almost 20 brands. These packs are very cold and stay cold for about 30 minutes (recommended usage is 10-15 minutes per session). The instructions recommend using a cloth or fabric as a buffer between the product and your skin.
I have not tried the heat application yet, but as an ice pack, these work great and are a great value to boot!
These gel packs do exactly what they are supposed to. My wife and I both have lower back pain and these work well to alleviate soreness, after being chilled in the freezer for a couple of hours. We have not used them as a hot compress. I feel that they are favorably priced for their size.
I started training in a martial art (Krav Maga), and I often get sore muscles or bruises. With these two gel packs stored in my freezer, I can ice my muscles as often as I want. They stay nice and soft even coming right out of the freezer. Initially, they're really cold, so I wrap them in a little towel, but after awhile, I can take it out of the towel and put it directly on my skin. They are what I expected them to be, and I am happy with my purchase.
I had knee replacement surgery and ordered several of these to keep ready in the freezer. I wrapped it in a towel and it was ready to help keep swelling to a minimum. They were fantastic..size is good also as you need length to cover the entire knee area. Reusable for lots of aches.
Love these ice packs. They stay soft When frozen which makes them perfect for using on areas like your knees or your forehead. The cold also lasts a long time.
