Love this pillow; I use it for support of my belly and also behind my back to help me with sleeping on my side (I'm usually a back sleeper). The one comment I do have, is that I cannot tell the difference between the two sides. I actually checked both sides but they seem equally as firm. Either way, it doesn't bother me, as it serves its purpose.
Update Aug 3, 2017: Took off the cover to register the Hiccapop and noticed a VERY ugly yellow stain on the pillow, not from me! Have downgraded my review, because it is quite unsightly and disgusting, leaving me to question if this product is in fact new, and what caused that stain.
Update Aug 20, 2017: After voicing my concerns to the company, I was put into contact with Chief hiccapopper, Tessa, who assured me that all pillows that may be returned through Amazon are destroyed. According to her, the stains are a result of the foam being exposed to heat. She sent me a new pillow direct from the warehouse and I'm happy to report that there are no stains on this new pillow. Excellent customer service!
Let's be honest - being pregnant isn't the magical, wonderful journey that your auntie told you it would be. It is a 9 month journey into self-inflicted torture and hell. Your hips hurt, your back hurts, you can't stop farting, and even though you have never been more tired in your life, it is impossible to find a comfortable position to sleep in. That is until the hiccapop came along! This beautiful little wedge might look like a simple pillow, but really it is the greatest creation known to man (and pregnant women). Since I've started using the hiccapop, I am able to sleep comfortably through the night without my aching knees, hips, or back waking me up every few hours. I wake up in the morning feeling refreshed, and ready to face the day (or the 4 hours I make it before needing a nap again because, well, pregnancy). Seriously! Get this little pillow and get sleep while you can!
On a side note, when I'm not using it to hoist up my size-of-a-whale baby bump, my dogs find it to be a very comfortable head rest.
To be honest, I didn't use this much for most of my pregnancy. I tried it a few times, it didn't seem to do much. My bump stayed reasonably compact, and the pillow was a little big for me. Even if I tucked it right up under my bra strap area, it would still come down far enough to force me to move my (bent) knees down to make room for it. I still wish it was a little shorter and the slope a little less steep. (I'm 5'6", 125 pounds pre-pregnancy.)
But in the ninth month, I suddenly started having trouble sleeping. My body just felt "off," and I couldn't drift off and felt really miserable. I decided to give this thing a try again, and I'm so glad I did! I can sleep through the night now (well, except for at least three trips to the bathroom). So worth it to be able to get decent sleep in the run-up to birth and having a baby keep me up all night for entirely different reasons ;)
This is exactly what I needed. I didn't want to pay over $100 for a huge full body pillow. I have lovely pillows that my head is very happy with! I simply needed support for my 5 month twin bump. I love that it has 2 sides; soft and harder with memory foam. At the moment the softer side is perfect but I am likely to need to more solid side as I get bigger. I also like that the supporting information sheet gives you ideas for other uses for the pillow (e.g. In between your legs) and I can carry it around the house easily for additional support; I've even popped it behind my back in my home office chair. For such a small cost, it had so many uses. I'm delighted to tried this before taking the plunge for a big body pillow and I feel it will be used consistently in many ways over the next 3 months!
Finally, and not something I would typically comment on, but I loved the additional correspondence and follow up emails from the company. I usually ignore these and don't always review but the great product and messaging of the company made me want to support them. I am one very satisfied customer!
When I received this, I totally thought I got jipt. It's really lightweight (good for traveling) and feels kinda flimsy. I reluctantly took it on a trip with me since I couldn't lug my giant pregnancy U pillow, and this little guy did the trick! I didn't have any back pain and was comfortable the entire trip. I came back home & went back to using my U pillow and was ok for a while. Now that I'm on month 7, I started getting back pains again. Used this with my U pillow and MAN! works wonders. If you end up getting this (which I do recommend you do), don't be turned off when you recieve it and give it a try. It works!

At 34 weeks pregnant I started to really feel the magnitude of my second pregnancy with much aches and pains and round ligament pain. My first pregnancy I had one of those obnoxiously huge maternity pillows that ended up falling flat toward the end of my pregnancy, not to mention it was expensive! I opted to try something different and this little wedge was a game changer for me. I’ve been sleeping muuuuuch better. It’s size is also small and convienant allowing me to use it when I set up in bed or on my glider for my lower back and sometimes in between my knees when I needed a little extra support when the siatica pain creeps in at night every now and then.
Would NOT be able to sleep without this pillow! You know how baby's weight pulls your body to one side when you're on your side? Trying to stick to your side for baby's health but keep waking up with back pain? This pillow is for you! It has become by best friend. This wedge plus a pillow between knees (aligning your hips), pillow under head (supporting your neck), and pillow to hold (keeping your shoulders and upper back more aligned) is a great way for transitioning from back sleeping to side sleeping while pregnant. As an exclusive former back-sleeper, this wedge has changed my life.
I really like this pillow and I am only 17, almost 18 weeks. I just felt like my tummy was uncomfortably unsupported when I would lay on my side. I didn't really care for the large body pillow, at least not yet, since it made me feel so separate from my husband. This offered a wonderful solution and keeps my growing tummy supported without me feeling like I'm laying on a ramp or separated from my husband.
UPDATE: (08/19/18) I have used this wedge pillow throughout my maternity and it hasn't lost any of its cushion or become flat. The outer covering has also held up well. I have found that this wedge is perfect for going behind the head, under the pillow, to prop up the head if one has a stuffy nose. Handy little wedge.
After researching pregnancy pillows I knew I did not want one of those huge pillows. I already slept with a pillow between my knees & hugged one. I also have bulging discs in my neck & need to use my own pillow. With those huge pillows you have to use that as your pillow & I was not going to risk neck pain on an expensive huge pillow. I also wanted something to support my stomach while side sleeping that wasn't a huge lump, but a gentle sloping.
This pregnancy wedge was a perfect addition to my already established pillow routine. I've been using it since around 24 wks & I'm currently 38 wks. It has a perfect sloping to wedge under your stomach to give comfortable support while side sleeping or watching tv. Or in my case also supporting my stomach bc I've had to spend weeks now laying down elevating my very swollen feet & legs. Also took it to my labor & birth class to use it behind my back.
Love this pillow!!!
This pillow has helped me find a comfortable way to sleep with my growing belly. I previously tried the Leachco Snoogle pillow, but it was too large, made my feel too confined, and was hard to get in and out of to go to the bathroom (which you do a lot while pregnant), and didn't allow me to cuddle with my husband or puppy. The hiccapop pregnancy pillow solved all of those issues. It's small so it doesn't take over the entire bed. It's easy to switch positions in the night. Some nights I need the extra support on my stomach and other times I just need something between my knees to help my back. This pillow does both. I am very happy with it!
