I am so happy that I finally found this Elasto Gel wrap! Elasto Gel Hot/Cold Wrap,foot and Ankle Wrap With a torn achilles tendon post-surgery, I needed something comfortable and effective. After going through many different kinds, and having settled on an old fashioned round bag with a screw on cap, I was tired of making ice and dealing with a wet bag. This wrap is easy, convenient, comfortable, and effective. It is very flexible as well and is a great portable option. This is what really makes this wrap for me. I swear I wind it to wrap differently each time I use it, but that is the beauty of it, anything goes. I love the coolers with wraps, that you come home with from the hospital post-surgery, but those have a right and wrong way, and those also require filling ice. And sometime you just want something simple. This is one I can freeze and take with me places, whereas the cooler setup requires electricity. This suits its purpose well.
✔️ STAYS COLD - I wear it my 20 minutes and put it back in the freezer and it quickly returns to the appropriate colonies to re-use within 30 minutes
✔️ CAN BE HEATED IN MICROWAVE OR OVEN - I have never used it for heat myself, so I can't speak to its effectiveness there. Instructions do say it can be heated using a conventional oven on a specified lower temperature. I purchased one for my mom, and she does use it hot and says it works just as well hot as it does cold.

I work very long shifts in retail, which means I’m on my feel all day long. After a long day at work, my feel are usually killing me. I have a bit of ankle pain from a recovered injury so I usually use this gel pack for 15 minutes at a time when I have a chance to sit with my foot elevated and relax. This one is really great because I just put it on and forget about it for a while, and it was so hard to find so I feel like I appreciate it even more. The gel wrap really conforms to the shape of my foot, and stays put while i’m sitting or if I decide to move around a bit. I think it’s a reasonable size, I wear a size 9 shoe and it fits pretty comfortably, as a woman, I’m not sure you could go bigger than an 10 without your toes hanging out of the pack. As an added measure for pain, in between cooling (and re-cooling) the pack every 20 minutes, I usually rub a tea tree pain reliever, ThermaChill Pain Relief Roll On Cold Therapy, 3 fl oz. - Top Choice for Arthritis, Migraine Relief, Joint & Muscle Pain - Limited Time Offer: Buy 1 Get 1 Free!, on my ankle, and that warms and cools my pained area and really helps with the soreness. Aside from the length of time you are able to use the gel pack at a time, I think it’s pretty much perfect. I definitely recommend it to anyone with mild pain on their foot or ankle.
I purchased many other ice packs before finding the Elasto-gel ankle ice packs. I sprained one ankle and broke the other one, and these have truly been a godsend. The material is a slightly stretchy jelly-like foam that is soft and very form fitting around the foot and ankle. None of the other ice packs I purchased shaped to the ankle so nicely (they were too stiff and less flexible), and they were difficult to hold in the places where the cold was needed. By contrast, the boot-shaped Elasto-gel ice packs wrap securely all around the foot and ankle, but are pliable enough not to cause undue pressure on the injured spots. Terrific product!!!
I purchased this for my recovery from a shattered ankle and extensive surgery. This worked beautifully when I needed to ice my ankle (2 to 3 times a day for 6 plus weeks) because of swelling. It is well made, very cushiony, and gets cold quickly and stays cold a long time. It encases the entire ankle area for maximum coverage. The velcro is great as you adjust it to your ankle size and it stays securely in place.
Worth every penny. Couldn't have recovered as effectively without it.
I purchased this product because I had foot surgery (in my heel), and none of my other ice packs seemed to work. Some weren't well designed for feet and ankles; others just weren't cold enough, given the insulation provided by the surgical wrap over the incisions. So I purchased this product from Amazon.
The Elasto-Gel Foot/Ankle Therapy Wrap was one of the best products I've ever purchased on Amazon (and I've made most of my purchases on Amazon for about 10 years). It's great features are:
(1) Fit. It naturally conforms to the shape of your foot and ankle. It may seem big and floppy, but the strap provided allows you to wrap it as tightly as you would like. And the velcro on the strap attaches anywhere on the wrap, not just to one predesignated place.
(2) Temperature. It gets very cold. If it's too cold, you can always wrap your foot in something insulating first.
This is just a fantastically designed product. I recommend it for anyone who needs to ice their feet or ankles regularly.

This ankle cold pack is amazing. I have purchased 4. It is very easy to wrap around the foot due to the long velcro. It gives me the relief that my tired hurting feet need. It is perfect because it lasts about 30 minutes which is the recommended time. A regular icepack does not do the trick. This foot wrap wraps exactly where you need it. I wear mine with long socks. Without socks it is too cold. With long socks it is very comfortable. I twisted my ankle, and after two years the bottom of my foot, and ankle still hurt if I do not wear tennis shoes. If I had this right after my injury, I would have recovered better and faster. My friend had an ankle injury too, and I could not give her mine because I love them, so I bought her two of her own. It is very convenient when you can finally lie down on the couch and rest. I put mine on when I get ready to watch a show that will last 30 minutes. When I wear mine, the next day I am no longer limping. I highly recommend it to anyone with ankle or foot injuries.
I've got soft tissue damage and angry ligaments / tendons from heel to ball in both feet, so have been looking for a product to wrap my entire foot in - this is it! I just received a pair of them yesterday and I've use them three times already. They're perfect because the material really is a flexible gel-like pad that's more like a piece of dense foam than slush or liquid. In particular, I've found that if I use the product upside down from the way it's pictured, I can completely encase my EU42 feet bottoms in what should be the ankle portion, while leaving my upper ankle (that I don't need to ice) more free in what should be the foot portion. The black strap pictured is one long elastic piece with velcro at the end that you can wrap in whatever way secures the boot best, so for me I can snug it around the ball of my foot where I want to apply the cold most directly and not the arch where I don't.
Depending on where your pain it it can help the foot, ankle, toes etc. I had a stretch of Gout that I needed pretty much 24/7 pain relief before I saw the rheumatalogist for a week. These are good for about 45 minutes. Turned inside out once. The design is great, but you will need several or use other cooling pads inside these to increase the cooling time. I have 3 and am happy with them, but I have cheaper Walgreens pads I slipped inside when these lost cool. Not for use over night. Daytime 30-45 minutes all good.
I rarely leave reviews on Amazon but I have to tell you I am so impressed with this product it is soft and cold and completely conforms to my entire foot and I can wrap it really tight with that velcro strap it almost feels like one of those cold packs that they put on at the physical therapist I am so impressed thank you so much great job and also love the fact it's american-made company
My husband uses this at least once a day. He has a reconstructed calcaneus (heel bone) which hurts all the time, especially after hiking or standing all day. Regular icing has helped a lot with pain management. The only problem with this boot is that it doesn't get cold enough for him on its own, but it's still useful as an encasement/wrap for his other ice packs. He puts on a sock, then puts on this boot with one or two of those blue gel packs (the kind for a cooler) inside it. The boot insulates the gel packs so they stay super frozen the whole time he has them on. He used to use one of my scarves to tie gel packs to his foot, and this is WAY more convenient. We've had the boot for several months now and it's holding up great, even though he regularly stretches it out of shape and doesn't always seal the ziplock bag when he puts it back in the freezer. Overall great product.
