I used an egg white plus a half tbsp of charcoal. I mixed until, the mixture became a thick but smooth paste. I used a sponge like paint brush. I left it on for about 10 minutes, or until dried. My face was left feeling smoother and looked brighter.

This stuff is pretty awesome! I've been wanting to whiten my teeth, but the Crest strips tend to make my teeth a little sensitive. After much research, I found that activated charcoal could help alieviate swelling in tumors. I am always hesitant to place a review especially while helping my pup with cancer - perhaps the optimist in me is a bit scared. as others have mentioned it is an extremely fine powder and it will make a mess of your bathroom vanity lol!
Here's what I do to make it a little easier.
In a smaller size deep Tupperware i microwave coconut oil (@15 second intervals) till just melted. Let it cool for a moment than mix in the charcoal powder with a small spatula. Be patient it may take a few minutes to incorporate.

I am really loving this charcoal! I have very sensitive teeth and by just brushing my teeth in this stuff my sensitivity is gone! I am giving this product 5 stars for dental care, but as for skincare I give a warning....
The first time I made their face mask (recipe on the package), my face felt really clean and my skin seemed to tighten, but the second time I used it I had a major reaction! My face was itchy, red and a whole bunch of pimples showed up around my chin area. 3 days later, my skin is now back to normal and the hot pain is gone. Not sure what happened? I applied a test spot and the first time it worked great, but the second time was awful! I plan to try it again in future to see if maybe that was just a fluke.
On a final note about this product - it is very messy, but if you put the stuff in a jar with a lid on it, you cut down the mess. I have a jar and tablespoon dedicated to the stuff, and I make sure to follow these rules...
Dental Care
#1: Never spit when you have charcoal in your mouth! It gets everywhere! If you do need to spit - go outside!
Solution: pour some water in a cup to gargle with, once you have finished swishing the water in your mouth, lean over the sink, and just open your mouth. Repeat this process till the water that comes out is clear.
#2: Have a damp rag on hand! If you do spill some of the charcoal, just wipe it up with a damp rag - it comes up really easily.
#3: Orabrush is a must!! This stuff makes your tongue black, but with an orabrush your can fix this really easily, so don't have to go to work looking like a Chow Chow.
#4: dedicate 1 towel (for face mask), a rag or two (for clean up), 1 toothbrush (dental care), 1 jar and 1 tablespoon.
