Organic He Shou Wu is not that easy to find and this is a great product. I am a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and have come across some low quality and questionable sourcing of this traditional herb. This one is high quality all around. It is packaged to be airtight and light preventing, which will preserve its freshness. It comes with a wooden/bamboo spoon for serving and mixing, as metal changes the properties of herbs unfavorably. The smell is fresh, it mixes well and the taste is very smooth. I highly recommend it.
I started taking this herb about 1 month ago as I heard it could help with your Kidney Function. My BUN went from 37 (which is high) to 23, which is now within normal range.
My Creatinine went from 1.73, which is high down to 1.60, which is still high, but the numbers are moving in the right direction.
So thankful I found this product.
My husband and I have been taking this for about 2 months. BOTH of our hair is becoming darker and less gray. I have been having hair thinning and hair loss issues for quite some time and my hair loss is less and less. We look at each other and comment....Your hair is definitely darker. We only take 1/4 of a tsp daily in the morning. That is what seems to work best for us. Not only has this helped reversing the gray hairs but also gives us energy. Highly recommended!
I have used He Shou Wu before, and this was my first use of this particular one. It is easily as good as any other I have tried. My wife has noted that I am not as tired at the end of the day; my salt and pepper beard has some more pepper in it. Recommended.

I bought this product in hopes of turning my hair darker as I’ve heard lots of success stories from people who’ve used he shou wu for this very purpose (although not from this brand) and because I do have premature graying I hope to “reverse” it. Upon taking it for just two days, I’ve noticed that I sleep MUCH better and I’m not as moody. These are HUGE bonuses for me and I’m sure it would be the same for people who have mood or sleeping problems (for me, I have no troubles falling asleep but I wake up easily.) I’m pleasantly surprised! One small issue about this herb is that I seem to have a very minor stomach issue upon waking up and I realized taking it earlier in the day helps and I’m happy to say I no longer have that issue. Other than that, some small breakouts near cheeks and temples. But overall I’m impressed and happy about the result. I’ll update again regarding my premature graying problem after a month or two.
After reading up on this and a friend recommending me to get it, I decided to get it. I would consider myself a pretty healthy person. I’m always messing with supplements, so i decided that I would try it out. It’s a pretty mediocre supplement. I haven’t seen too much changes while taking this at night for about a week now. I’ve taken this at night while drinking tea before bed because it says it helps. I have an app on my phone that tells me my sleep stages at night and I’ve seen that I’ve fallen into more REM sleep while taking this product (REM sleep is associated with that ‘feel good’ sensation you get while waking up); additionally, I have been feeling a bit better about waking up this week. I don’t want to just blatantly say that this product was the sole reason behind getting better sleep, but I think it helped. That was my experience with it. The one thing I would say is that everyone’s body is different and I can’t assure you that it will help you, but I think it’s helped me. I should also speak about the product itself.
When I first got the package it came in a standard envelope with padding and such. I neglected to realize that 5 ounces is a lot smaller than I anticipated. Nonetheless, I still got the product. When opening it up, it smelled just like those little ramen flavoring packets(I’m not really sure why, I guess that’s just the product? I personally don't taste it much, but its not effecting the flavor of my tea in a negative way). It also came in a lot of bags. I assume that is because the seller didn’t want any air to seep into the package.
Overall, I think it’s working. Based off the research scientist haven’t looked or studied this product a lot but it’s supposed to increase your libido, help your hair, and your aging. I never read anything on sleep, but it evidently helped me. I would recommend it to people and there’s little risked involved( like most supplements ).
