I’ve read some bad reviews on this and some great reviews. The Drive Medical Aluminum Rollator Walker Fold Up and Removable Back Support, Padded Seat, 7.5" Wheels, byDrive Medical, Red will be honestly reviewed.
First off, I am a nurse with over a quarter of a century experience. I know good walkers and I have seen some bad walkers.
We have to first see who this walker is for. It is for my mom who weighs 111 pounds and is a small woman. This walker fits her to a glove, she is only 5 foot 4. Some people said they were 5 foot 2 and their feet dangled. If that is the case, they have some really short legs. My mom’s feet do not dangle but comfortable touch the ground.
Some said they had a hard time putting it together. I had to install the handles with big, I guess I can call them plastic handled wing nuts. Not a problem, took me 2 minutes.
Some said it was flimsy. Well how big was the person using it. I would not recommend this for anyone over about 160 pounds. The seat alone would not fit well with them. It is aluminum and for a reason, to be light enough to put in the car. It doesn’t weight 5 pounds like some have said though, it weighs more like 15 but you are not going to get a lighter walker unless you get one without a seat.
This product has been more than adequate for my mom. Now for me I would need three put together to hold me. I am not stupid though. I buy products that fit the person, I don’t try to save money and buy something that just isn’t the right size for the job.
If you buy it you will be happy if you are the right size for it.
Thank you

Bought this walker for an elderly (95-years-old) relative. He took to it very quickly and now uses it all the time. He is very unsteady on his feet, so this has been a literal lifesaver for him. He also makes use of the seat to carry items from one room to the next. I also bought the Universal Cup Holder, which really should be a standard part of this walker. It was a little difficult to attach correctly to the walker, but is a great addition. He uses that especially to carry his beverages when he's moving from room to room. The walker is a little cumbersome when traveling, but overall it's easy to fold up and get into and out of the car. My main complaint, however, is that less than a year after we received it, one of the wheels has malfunctioned. It sticks and looks like it may break off at any time. (Thus, four stars instead of five.) I was worried that he would be leaning on it, the wheel would break and he would go tumbling. To Amazon's credit, I called to replace it and they did, promptly and with no problems. Great customer service! He received his new one recently and is back in business.
I just got my walker, right on time. I weighted it and indeed it's 14 pounds...very light. I bought it to keep in my car for when I am out and about. It folds very easily by pulling up on the shoulder strap and then it flops open as soon as you set it down. Super easy. Because the backrest folds up as well, it is less than a foot deep when folded. That is exactly what I wanted for my "car" walker. If they sold it in a shorter version, it would be a perfect five for me. I would love it to sit at 20 inches (rather than at 23 inches) because of my 5'5" height. Other than that, I can't make any suggestions for improvement. Putting it together was SO easy. We have two other walkers, a Hugo and a Carex for in the house use when we are needing the assistance. They are both very good, but this one is the easiest yet to put together and by far the best for throwing into the car. I would definitely recommend it.
I had a larger steel Rollator that would not fit in my SUV without removing the basket, folding it, and folding down half of the back seat.
So I purchased this smaller Aluminum one. It is much lighter and it fits in the cargo compartment of my SUV without even folding it.
This has made my life so much better I can't say enough. Since I have gotten this I've been able to get around with much more ease. It eleviates some of my extreme back pain by allowing me to almost hold my self up completely with my arms while walking. Before I didn't want to go anywhere, because it just hurt too much to walk. I hardly got out of bed to do anything. Now I get around my house, go shopping with the wife, and do the normal things in life again, well without overdoing things. Thank you for this amazing product... I even feel helpful, because the seat carries grocery bags, and fits my wifes purse in the cargo holder under the seat, so she doesn't have to carry it.

Description
If you're seeking a safe, convenient aid to improving your daily mobility, a Rollator can be the ideal solution. Wheels make a Rollator a superior option over a standard walker, eliminating the need to lift the device and allowing you to walk with an easy, smooth gait. Plus, Rollators are better for travelling over uneven, outdoor terrain, making them great for your active, busy lifestyle. And with the built-in seat found on a Rollator, you'll always have a convenient place to rest. Drive's Aluminum Rollator with Fold Up and Removable Back Support is the perfect unit to suit your needs and your style. It's designed and built for maximum comfort, durability, and ease of use with quick folding ability and simple handle height and angle adjustment. It has a seamless padded seat for maximum seated comfort. The backrest is also padded and the large wheels ensure smooth travel over a variety of different terrains. It even has a convenient, zippered pouch for privately and securely carrying items with you on the go.
I needed a rollator that was light weight enough for me to put in my vehicle myself to be more independent. This Drive model is awesome. It has a nice seat for when I get too tired or when I get in a line for anything. I've found the seat also allows me to go to a buffet restaurant since I can put my plate on the seat and go through the line and get my food to my table myself. Any product that makes us disabled folks more independent is awesome. I selected this one due to the Seller's price, weight, free shipping, and the larger size of the wheels. It goes on grass or gravel better than any other walker/rollator I've used.
This walker is the bomb! I am only 57 but had a stroke. I had to pick out a walker quickly upon imminent discharge from inpatient rehab. I liked this one cuz it says it could handle rough terrain and it certainly does! I walk with it several miles a day and it handles broken sidewalks and bumpy terrain very well. The seat is roomy and comfortable and the little storage place is small but can fit a bottle and a bottle of soda nicely. It's easy to fold up and the price was minimal. It's also very lightweight. Would recommend to anyone young or old.
I purchased the walker (or 'rollator') for my 95 year old mother. Her old walker was wearing her out as she had to lift it constantly to go over doorways, or to change course. And there was no seat for her to rest. Now she scoots along at a fairly good clip and the wheels easily go over any doorway. Plus there's the seat which she makes use of. And there is room to carry items under it. I surveyed other owners of Drive's rollators/walkers at her Senior Center before buying and they steered me to getting the larger wheels. They were right. Those wheels make it so much easier for Mom to go through doorways. Those wheels go over any bump without a catch. She got the dark red and it's pretty, too! My only negatives were it is a little harder to fold up to put in the car. (I did make sure the walker was fairly light before buying - weight is not an issue. It's light.) And if you have anything in the carryall under the seat, it's hard to fold up. You pretty much have to take things out. It was a bit stiff to fold up as well, but eased up with usage. (And also as we learned how to do it!) Those are just small things. It works great and Mom loves it. She needs racing stripes on it now! :-) Highly recommend.
I like to walker - this order was my third identical walker as I live with my decreasing mobility. I tried to save a little money this time though, and I ordered an "open box - like new" product. What could go wrong? I'll tell you what could go wrong - after assembling the new walker, I sat down on it - and was instantly thrown to the floor as one of the front wheels collapsed. Luckily I wasn't hurt! This one is being returned, and my replacement order is for a NEW one; despite looking just fine, the one I received had obviously been damaged. The walker is great, but I strongly recommend avoiding the "open box" products.
My grandma hurt her back really bad and was using a cane to maneuver around her apartment....she was so unsteady using the cane I was worred she'd fall and hurt her back even more. So I did some research, saw the great reviews of this walker and that prime was an option. This was delivered within 1 1/2 days after I put in my order!
Aside from the quick delivery, my grandma loves it!! It is so much easier for her to get around her apartment now. She was thrilled about the little storage compartment it has under the seat part. Really great product, highly recommend it!
