Super great. Pro tip make sure your microwave doesn't have a funky smell because it will make your rice smell funky. (Mine smelled like bacon for a few days)
Has a slight smell after heating but love the way it conforms to my back. Like that it has sectioned areas for the rice so it doesn't all fall to the bottom. Retains heat for a good amount of time...haven't used it cold. All in all, much better than the traditional heating pads.
It heats well, stays warm for a long time and it helps my achey pregnant body.

I bought this for my 89 year old father and it is great. He heats it in the microwave and puts it on his shoulder. Because of the weight, it drapes on the shoulder nicely and stays hot for quite a while. A definite recommendation from me.

Very well made and replaces a rice heating pad I had for over 10 years. Delighted to find it. It is a combination of the weight and heat that helps shoulders, back aches, etc. Regular electric heating pads don't provide that.

We have 3 of these. One stays frozen and the other two are heated in the microwave before bed on cold nights.
When heat it in the microwave, it gives off a very strong smells. We did not used it for heating pad. Instead, we found it works great as icing pad.
