I have always been in an industry that required that I be clean shaven everyday. Now that I have a job that doesn't have such requirements, I was ready to embark on the journey of growing a beard. I figured, "How hard could it be? I just don't have to shave and I'll have a great beard." As I went week after week without shaving, my skin under my beard became extrememly irritated, I had numerous ingrown hairs, and my beard pretty much hurt to the touch. I almost called off the whole beard growing experience!
On the verge of giving up, I went on the internet and searched blogs and forums for others that may have shared in my troubles. Fortunately, I wasn't alone. I educated myself a bit on the art of beard care and was ready to give it another effort. Then I realized that the hardest part had yet to come...sifting through all of the available products out there!
I wanted something that was in "kit" form because I was new to all of this, and wanted something that was inclusive of everything I needed. After searching through numerous pages on Google and Amazon, I stumbled upon the Zeus Deluxe Kit. It had the brush (which I desperately knew I needed due to how tangled my beard was getting), shampoo, conditioner, and beard oil.
For those of you saying that you don't need beard specific shampoo and conditioner, God bless you. You're either incredibly lucky in that your skin isn't as sensitive as mine, or your dumb. With the help of the brush, shampoo, and conditioner, my beard has become very soft (which my girlfriend loves) and it has been rid of all of the tangles and ingrown hairs.
The best had yet to come...the beard oil. I was a little nervous about this becuase I knew nothing about it. Again, I read up on how best to apply/use the beard oil, and it's now my best friend. It has made my beard shiny, but most of all, it has rid my face of all of the dryness, itchiness, redness, and irritation.
My beard is growing well, looking good, and best of all, it doesn't hurt! I have this kit to thank for all of that. If you're looking for a great kit, look no further. I'm taking the time to write a review for this stuff, which says a lot because I NEVER write reviews!!!
Not only do these products make you look good, they make you feel like a god around mere mortal men. Your beard will flow and glisten with the slightest mountain breeze. The conditioner will make your mane feel softer than a cub bears first winter coat. Don't even get me started on the oil! The sent is strong yet subtle, a refreshing kick of lime will wake your wiry tangled untamed glory, and make it look like spring cleaning on your face!
I've used these products for only one week and already impregnated an entire village. It is as if Zeus himself is giving you his almighty beard powers!
If you have a beard and do not buy this product immediately, quite frankly you do not deserve to have a beard.
As a guy with a beard that easily gets grimy and a sensitive skin, this product does a great job. I relied art one point that the reason why my beard was always itchy was because it was very coarse and it wasn't well maintained. So i snooped around and found this product in particular. It was a tough choice considering its price, but I do not regret it.
I wash my face twice a day with the shampoo which does a good job at softening the hair. The conditioner also does a good job. But what I really like out of all of them is the beard oil. It just works great, and after applying it i never have to worry about my skin getting infected again!.
a few nitpicks would be the fact that I seem to be running out of shampoo quicker than the conditioner, and I wish there was twice the oil. But otherwise this is a great product.
This is my first time growing a beard, so i may not have much to compare it to, but I love the brush. The brush seems to be key in beard maintenance and softness. The scent and quality of the shampoo, conditioner and oil seem to be really good.
I'm new to the beard products but these are top notch. The scent is very subtle. I barely notice it and my wife, who has the nose of a bloodhound, says it is pleasant and barely noticeable. Using the shampoo and conditioner as directed really cleans and softens the beard. The oil and balm make it soft, easy to control and style. I purchased a cheap kit and it was oily, greasy and irritated my skin. I will definitely reorder Zeus products again. You get what you pay for.

I bought this Grooming kit for my husband who is growing his beard out. I wanted to get him a good kit that would help it looking nice and maintained. So far I loved the smell and it has helped keep his beard from being itchy. I love the Verbena lime smell!
I bought this mainly for the shampoo and conditioner, so not going to knock any points off for the brush. I've have. Few different boar brushes so far and this one just feels cheaper by comparison. The shampoo and conditioner works great, cleans the beard without leaving it dried out and leaves it super soft. The oil is the favorite I've ever used and the scent (only tried verbena lime) smells great.
Great beard set. The lime scent is nice and not too powerful. Brush is high quality and works well but It’s a little rough. Wish it came with a comb too.

I started growing a beard earlier this year. I've never done a full beard before and when I've grown a goatee out on occasion it ends up bothering me so I shave before long. I did some research and learned that I should have been taking better care of my facial hair. I washed with regular shampoo and conditioner but research suggested I should use beard specific shampoo and conditioner 3-4 days a week and oil and brush with a boar hair brush daily. I figured this would be a good starting place.
I got the sandalwood scent and am super happy with it.
The brush is very good from what I can tell (it's my first of this type) but it does seem to shed quite a bit. Often bristles will get pulled up a bit so it's uneven and makes for an annoying feeling so I trim the bristle (or pull it). I've had this for a couple months now and there isn't a noticeable problem in the bristle density so this is probably normal it just makes me think it will have an expiration date.
I did learn the hard way that the bristles will absorb fragrances. This is great when it was absorbing the sandalwood scent. One day we brought home some Mexican and I didn't think about it. The bag of chips was put on the desk next to where I had put the brush. We didn't eat the chips and a couple hours later I tossed the bag. The next day I was brushing my beard and got assaulted by the smell of stale tortilla chips. This isn't a knock on the product, it's a feature but something to watch out for. It took a few weeks for that smell to go away.
The shampoo lathers amazingly. It takes a tiny bit, maybe dime sized, to wash my growing beard. The conditioner works very well and feels rich and creamy.
The oil seems to be a good quality but is a limited quantity. I wish it came with 2oz or more. I'm almost out of oil (and I don't use a lot) but have like 3/4 of the shampoo and conditioner left. I've got another beard oil that did come in 2oz and I use it about ever other day, so 1oz just isn't enough relative to the amount for shampoo and conditioner.
That said, I'm very happy with this product over all and would recommend it to anyone with a beard or considering growing one. I've finally been able to grow out facial hair without feeling like scratching my own face off. The 4 elements work together to soften and shape the beard which helps immensely with how it feels while growing in. My wife is also happy with the beard. In the past she starts complaining after a couple weeks of facial hair growth and combined with the general scratchiness on my own face I don't usually make it much past that point. This kit has her happy with the feel of my beard and she really likes the fragrance.
