If you are on crutches for any length of time, you NEED this. I've used crutches for 5 weeks now and use this bad every single day, all day. Not being able to carry anything sucks. With this bag, I can keep my phone, water, medicine, chapstick and a any other small things close by. It doesn't hold a huge water bottle (my camelback is too large to fit comfortably), but a regular size one works well.
This bag has multiple pockets which are very useful. I can keep a cold water bottle separate from my phone. There is even a tiny pocket for things that might get lost. The pockets also velcro for safe keeping, which is handy when the crutch gets laid down in the car. This bag has held up extremely well so far. Besides daily use, I also have been outside in the Texas summer sun a fair amount. No signs of wear and tear. Highly recommend. And by the way, sorry you are on crutches. It stinks. After hip surgery I'm confined to crutches for 2 months, and after 2 days of using the stock pads, my arm pits hurt.
I found these and immediately ordered a set up arm and hand pads as well as the pouch.
The pads are amazing and REALLY help. Granted, after an hour or so nothing can help the uncomfortableness, but the it helps none the less.
The pouch is also much handier than I would have thought. It holds my Hydroflask,walltet, phone. It can even hold a pistol/revolver if you'd like.
A week after my surgery my 7 year old broke his leg and is also confined to crutches and a wheelchair for outings. I bought him the exact same fabric pads so we are crutch twinzies.
I highly recommend these. It's work every $45 spent to be less miserable for a few months.
This is a brilliant idea! Make your crutches do something for you other than give you sore arms and palms. I cannot rave enough about this product, here's why:
I ordered these about 1 week into my broken foot. I was back to work the 3rd day. Everything goes into a back pack to get around or I had to be sure I was wearing something with pockets. Need your glasses? Wait. Let me take my back pack off to get them. Want a bottle of water? Let me get that out of my back pack. The AC's too cold. Let me get my sweater out of my back pack. Let me put the back pack on and go to the car. Wait, I need my keys. Those are in the back pack...on and on. I had to always use a back pack. Then my order of the crutch pouch and pads arrived.
There's three "chambers" to this pocket. It has a small slot for cell phone. This keeps it right at the top of the opening, and pretty easy to get to. There are two large chambers to the pocket. The outer one - the one with the colored fabric - velcros at the top to the black pocket and stays pretty secure. I keep my wallet, car keys, reading glasses in it. It's a little stretchy, so you can stuff that bad boy pretty full. The 2nd chamber also can velcro shut, but I keep anything I need at my finger tips. I smoke, so the pack and lighter go in there. Also, sunglasses and a small bottle of lotion. Basically, it became my purse and I ditched the back pack.
It's great around the house! I put my travel mug in the pocket to get from the coffee make to the couch. My meds go in there. I'm taking calcium 3x a day, so I keep those in there. Bottle for water is a must. Anyways, the luxury of convenience alone is such a help to this 6-8 week recuperation. It's your saddle bag for the time.
I have had so many people comment and ask me about the pocket who aren't on crutches. They also appreciate the value of the design. Kudos to Zoetic! I bought the arm and palm pads for comfort and the bag to "pimp my ride". But the bag has become ust as valuable as the pads!
This crutches bag was a game changer. It can be so difficult to carry bottles or even your phone for an extended time with just crutches, this bag 100% assists in any "extra hand" required activity. Once being on crutches you appreciate anything that helps you get around...particularly if it can carry your keys and phone like a purse would. I had no issues but I can imagine that some people may over stuff the bag so it could become off-center/awkward to crutch with but this is a huge upgrade from basic crutches for anyone who remains active in the real world while crutching around.
As a side note-for anyone "creative" or stuck at
home browsing Pinterest while injured, tacky glue won't hold any bedazzling pieces...it will slide off the bag while wet and will peel right off once dry.
I chose an attractive blue crutch bag for my purposes. I wish I've known earlier they sold these. I'm glad I bought one. I've had this crutch bag for only 2 days but I already found it quite useful. It is easy to install on a crutch, & this is demonstrated in my photos.
The crutch bag has 3 pockets. A 17 oz bottled water easily fits in the biggest pocket. Inside the biggest pocket is a hidden smaller pocket, probably for ID's or money. The third pocket is the front most one. I only wish the largest pocket has straps that button up or snap in place for greater security. Still, this item is very useful at home where one doesn't worry about security.

This is one of those items that made my life so much easier while I was in a cast and dealing with crutches. If you're looking for a gift to give someone who has been recently injured and stuck with crutches, this would be the best gift. It keeps those things within arm's reach that you need — the stuff that you are forever asking people to get for you (and feeling guilty and like a pest) because it always seems to be across the room. I purchased one bag, which held my phone, my wallet, a house key, tissues, lipstick, eye glass cleaner, pen and paper, emory board, and I also fit a can of seltzer water in there too at times (without the phone). I got along well with one bag, but if I had been on crutches longer, I would have gotten another bag for the other crutch, so I could carry even more. The bag easily affixes to crutches with the bag's Velcro strips and stays put on all sides. There isn't anything to move or get in the way of mobility. There are two pockets, so you can separate wallet from other stuff, and the top of each pocket has a piece of Velcro so your belongings don't fall out. I didn't even use a pocketbook while on crutches — it felt too awkward and dangerous. This crutch bag was all I needed. And now that I'm off the crutches, I'm using the bag in my car attached to an inner door handle to keep little items near me while I'm driving — I wanted to find another use for it, and it's become handy. I was very pleased with this purchase.
Although I use my hated crutches as little as possible (I have a rolling knee scooter, which is great on flat terrain), there are times the scooter won't work...and my nonweightbearing postsurgical self is forced to use those crutches. As I'm not super secure with them, I like to have my phone with me (in case I get myself into a predicament!). If I didn't choose to wear clothing with pockets, the idea of holding my phone in my teeth just didn't appeal, so I went searching for a product, and found this.
The crutch bag is surprisingly roomy, is easy to attach and remove from a crutch, closes securely to keep my phone and other stuff from making any surprise exits. It's well made, and the purple color is cheerful. I feel much more secure knowing that I'm able to safely carry a few things with me when I use my crutches. Highly recommended.
I wish I had discovered this when I first started tootling around on crutches following knee surgery. It is such a pain in the neck. This provides three separate pouches, which are big enough for a 1-liter water bottle, a phone, and keys, or other small items (e.g. a small paperback book). The more bulky items you shove in there, the more difficult it is. Water bottle, phone & keys is really about all you want to shove in there, but what more could you want? You don't want too much weight, because it does get slightly awkward if it's super heavy, but not a huge deal. It is big enough even for my tall liter bottle. I don't use the disposable bottles, so I'm not 100% sure that the tallest/thinnest of the liter bottles will work, but I think it works, since it does work with a standard and a tall and slightly thinner standard 1-liter bottle.
This would be a great gift for someone who will need or does need crutches. It's also a great place to hide your phone, which is not even visible--and who would think to look in a crutch for a phone or a set of keys? Right, they won't. The only downside is that you won't be looking for your phone there either. I had to call my number 5 times, and kept walking back and forth, wondering where the ringing was coming from, before I remembered that it was in here.
One catch is that you will want to have a cushion on the handle, because this attaches (very easily, I might add) with two straps on the handle (in addition to the side straps that stabilize it). But the straps on the handle would be uncomfortable without a pad or cushion. I got the ones by Crutch Buddies, as they seemed more substantive, and also a better deal. And although fashion freaks might want their pads to match their crutch bag, it's not necessary to match them perfectly. Take my word for it.
The Crutcheze bag is a real help as I gimp along on my crutches. It stays put with super strong velcro, and keeps my car keys, cell phone and wallet handy, even in the car. I suggest attaching it at the top, rather than on the hand grip; I found it got in the way of my hand. The bag does well carrying a pop can or a hard water bottle; be careful with softer plastics, like Starbucks iced cups; those can get squished.
