I'm a 4-day a week gym goer and the stress of weightlifting/bodybuilding is starting to take it's toll. Exercise recovery has slowed down quite a bit since I turned 40. Joints are sore compared to twenty years ago. I needed to replace an old pair of sports store brand elbow sleeves and the price was right with these compression sleeves.

I don't see my forearms and biceps getting much bigger but even it I were to gain 2-3 inches, these would still fit. On exercises such as farmer's carry, shoulder shrugs and dead-lifts, my elbows would get very sore and inflamed once I was done. I don't know the science behind it but i think it has something to do with keeping the arm and joint warm by helping circulation.

UPDATE: Just got back from chest night. Now before I give you my full take, let me preface this by telling you I'm a 47 yr old meathead that's been lifting seriously for about 8yrs. I lift relatively heavy and have had no real issues. Shoulders...knees...back... Nothing! But of all the things, recently my elbow joints (not tennis elbow) started acting up... probably within the last 3 wks. No real pain, and no problems with going heavy (if you must know, bench 350 2x, squat 365 2x, deadlift 425 2x) but I was really starting to feel it post workout.
At my age, you can't afford to mess around with that sort of stuff..so I decided to pick up a pair of elbow pads. I carry wrist wraps, chalk, gloves (never use them), so I've been reluctant to add more crap to my bag (and yes I need to pickup a weight belt next). But after tonight's workout, I don't know why I waited this long to pick up a pair. Even if you don't feel any elbow pain, do yourself a favor and get yous a pair today!! Not only will it prevent elbow injuries but because they're compression, you'll get the added benefit of the rubberband effect on your lifts (esp bench). I absolutely crushed chest tonight and as I sit here ready to drink my post workout shake, I don't feel ish in my elbows!! Ok that's it. Sorry for the long winded review...my pre workout is still kicking..LOL

Be sure to get a size bigger than it says. My elbow is 10" and I bought the set for 9.5-11". It is tight and uncomfortable and my hand and wrist are swollen after 2 days of use, even taking them off when I am not at work. I think they are good quality and a nice seller but the size is too small/ tight. I don't know the larger size will work but this size has me swelling.
When I get home from work I will contact seller to see if we can work something out.
According to my husband's measurements he should wear a size L. The L were too tight and he couldn't wear them. The company sent XLs immediately. I reported the problem on Friday afternoon and the new ones arrived on Monday afternoon. They are very nice, good quality and with the correct fit they are totally comfortable.
I've been having persistent issues with tendentious and refuse to let it slow me down. I've tweaked my activity a bit to be more conscious of the healing process but these sleeves are a tremendous help in not only easing the pain but also support during my workouts. Straight forward design, pretty hard to put on your arm incorrectly. Easily adjusts to higher up your arm for a slight increase in compression. Easy to forget you are wearing it and seems pretty well made so far. I have four different types of elbow compression sleeves since developing a moderately painful case of what is probably the same thing as tennis elbow (although I don't play tennis..) I wear this one for 'everyday' activities, including yard work and some improvement projects. It does a good job supporting the elbow and minimizing the pain when stressing the joint. I have not found this one as effective when actually working out, weight training. There is another type of design that I use for weight training that works better than this one.
I've had some pretty bad and very painful tendinitis in my elbow for a while now. Nothing seemed to help. I figured I should give a compression sleeve a try. Tight at first but you get use to and it. I found if I wear it too long specially while doing my everyday activities (I work in a kitchen), I found the inside of my elbow will hurt from being pinched by the fabric. Still really happy with this product. It helps with my hands as well. I have always slept with wrist braces for my tendinitis but with these sleeves on I don't have to anymore, which is a lot more comfortable!
