The 2 Liter Premium Classic Rubber Hot Water Bottle is a good buy. The rubber water bottle is strong and sturdy. The sleeve is a little thick to me, but it keeps the hot water bottle from getting too hot to handle and too flimsy. The item is of very good quality. This is a lifesaver for those that live and sleep in a cold environment. It retains heat for a long time. The sleeve is machine washable.
The hot water bottle heats your bed up very well, and it is pretty much inexpensive heat compared to a heater on in the room. As the heat lessens, the bed is still warm for a long time since the bottle is still warm. It lasts about 3 hours or so. It is great for setting next to pets or keeping something warm nearby. It is great in the bed next to your feet to keep them warm.
The sleeve can get wet when you fill the water bottle. If you can funnel the hot water into the bag safely, you can keep it dry outside. Use some good sturdy tongs to hold the water bottle with sleeve at the neck over the sink and use a metal funnel on the opening and pour the hot water into the bag through the funnel until it is full enough to stop. Remove the funnel, and cap the water bottle with the stopper. Turn it tight. That should keep it dry. You can try it without a metal funnel, but most likely you will get the sleeve wet.
I recommend this water bottle. It is of good quality. It comes with a sleeve. And, it is priced affordable on Amazon.
This thing is AMAZING.
Some background. I grew up in Southern California, where the weather is almost always 70 degrees farenheit. I am now living on the East Coast, and let's just say that winter is an experience I'm still getting used to. Every night it's 2 pairs of socks, 3 blankets, a comforter, and I still had cold feet throughout the night.
Suddenly, my life is warmed by a charming water bottle in a cool knit sweater! Just add hot water and throw it under the blankets for full night of warm feet.
The rubber feels trustworthy and I'm not worried about it leaking. The rubber gets too hot to touch, but the sweater makes it the perfect temperature to touch, with an extra neckline to pull over the opening. I usually heat the water to just under boiling in the kettle, which keeps the bottle warm until the morning/noon. Sometimes if I'm in a pinch I'll just use hot bath water and it still ends up toasty and lasts most of the night.
As an added bonus, our cats love sleeping on the blankets on top of the bottle!
The weather turned cold in Southern California. I don't have central heating and keeping a space heater or electric blanket on all night was not an option. In my childhood in a damp, cold climate I always snuggled in bed with a hot water bottle. So as this was on offer for a good price I decided there was nothing to lose. A good decision indeed and I love the fact that it comes with its own pretty knitted sweater. It retains the heat for hours so I am able to get to sleep feeling warm and cozy. And I don't have to think about waking up in the middle of the night to turn off the heater or blanket. I heat up 1 1/2 liters of water in the microwave oven then use a wide funnel to pour in the water without worrying about it dripping on to the cover. Voila, I am all set for sweet dreams.
Sometimes my feet get cold at night when I go to bed. My mom used to have one of this for us when we where kids and we used almost every night in the winter. This one comes with a nice knit cover (looks like cotton, but I'm not sure). The cover prevents skin burning when water too hot is used. I just take 2 big cups of hot water from the faucet, heat them up in the microwave for 2 minutes and pour them into the hot water bottle, making sure there is no air inside before closing it tightly. The hot water bottle remains warm for at least 5 hrs in my bed, keeping my feet toasty all night long. Can also be used if you have a back ache, etc.
I have never owned a hot water bottle before. I always had an electric heating pad, but I feel uncomfortable falling asleep with it plugged in, even though it has an automatic shut off. This was the perfect solution. As a bonus, my power recently went out on a VERY cold night. I was able to heat up some water on my gas stove and this bottle kept me quite warm til the power (and the heat) kicked back on. Also, the cover is washable and super cute.

Okay, here's the deal: we put boiling water in this thing, all the way to the top so there isn't much air pocket, and it stays hot ALL NIGHT. Yes, all night. In fact, there's a touch of warm left in it the NEXT night when we take it out from under the covers to refill it! The only explanation I have for that is that the bed covers themselves are adding another layer of insulation. Be forewarned: when you use boiling water it is SO hot you can't really put your feet on it for the first couple hours -- you just use it to warm the bed linens and then push it a few inches out of the way and enjoy the warmth!
Stays warm for an incredibly long time. I filled this with near-boiling water and when I emptied it 24 hours later the water was still noticeably warmer than room temperature. There is a rubber smell at first, but it's not excessive to me. The sweater is adorable and seems of good quality. I don't have any trouble filling the bottle without getting the sweater wet, but I pour straight from the kettle. The 2L is the perfect size for your back, your lap, your feet, or plain old snuggling. Love it!
Had a slight rubber latex smell when first opened. I used hot hot water and washed the outside with Dawn dish detergent soap and flushed out the inside now it's gone no smell. I suggest when washing it take the nice sweater cover off and let it dry before replacing it on. Sweater can go in washer machine it's great. Deff recommend this product.
This is a very cute hot water bottle, and the 2-liter one is of a good size for bed-warming on those frosty nights. The knit-sweater-look case was somebody's clever idea. You're not supposed to put boiling water into it, but I found our tap water doesn't get hot enough to keep it warm for very long. I guess I could boil the water and let it cool off a little before filling it. The rubber bottle itself seems very strong and well-made. It's important to follow the instructions on filling (2/3's full max) and working out the air before moderately tightening the screw-in cap.
Cold feet make it easy to leave a relationship. My feet are always cold even when the rest of the body is perfectly fine. This hot water bottle with the adorable sweater covering (hello 70s!) is perfect for warming up the bed and my feet. Hot water, 20 minutes in the bed, and voila! It's hard to get to sleep with cold feet, or to stay in a relationship. The bottle has solved two problems for the time being.
