Carex Soft Grip Walking Cane - Height Adjustable Cane With Wrist Strap - Latex Free Soft Cushion Handle, Metallic Blue

I'm using this cane to transition to weight bearing status after breaking my tibia a month ago. Product overall feels/operates as high quality, was well packaged for shipping, and arrived on time.

The adjustability works similar to a crutch, with push-button locks sliding the lower strut into the upper. A simple screw cap tightens the two pieces together firmly and securely, so there is no rattling or instability (and I'm a bigger guy). Cane feels very sturdy, even using my crappier left hand.

Only complaint, is that it's designed to have one finger in front of the strut, and three behind, and the handle's attachment to the strut is a bit too wide for the space between my index and middle finger. The profile picture shows the handle is wider than the strut as it tapers down where it attaches. I found this a bit uncomfortable on my "test drives" and some grip was sacraficed.

I'm going to test drive this for a few more days as I begin transitioning off the crutches, but if I can't get past the grip, I might be looking for a full handle where my entire hand fits on it together. I think this looks way better than the more hospital style, where the post curves around the hand, but for my purpose, I'm more function than form for this purchase.

Absolutely solid, fantastic and durable cane. And it doesn't look half-bad either.

Feb. 5, 2018: I've been using this cane for nearly a year now and it still works great...it works so well that sometimes I panic when I've temporarily misplaced it. The grip is perfect and comfortable, it easily raises and lowers and everything holds tight and snug. No regrets about this purchase. The only difference is that I replaced the bumper thing-a-mabob and replaced it with a much better quality glow-in-the-dark.

NICE AND STURDY. FULLY LENGTH ADJUSTABLE. I WEIGH 260 AND USE IT AS A STABILIZER OUTSIDE ON UNEVEN GROUND. DIABETIC NEPHROPATHY HAS TAKEN A LOT OF MY SENSE OF BALANCE AWAY, SO I FALL EASILY. AT 75 A FALL CAN BE THE BEGINNING OF THE END. AARGH!

I love this cane! It adjust to my height very well. It is sturdy and I can go up the stairs without being scared that I will fall. its lightweight and gentle on my hand and arms. I have Lupus and almost in pain almost every day all day, by using this cane it gives me the mobility I need to keep up with life ordinary and simple tasks. Great buy and great product.

This cane is comfortable to use. I like that I can reverse it in my hand when walking on a flat grade to take pressure off the palm of my hand.
Be sure to not take it apart when lengthening it ; my toddler grandson did and I could not get the button-lock to reset again. If you tighten the round adjustment that lets the cane slide, the cane will not make rattle noise as you walk.

sturdy and light, other review mentioned that it made a clicking sound and it does until you tighten the locking ring. They just need to read the directions.

I like the Kane I change the little pad on the bottom that touches the ground to one of those little four-footed rubber things and it works fantastic it will stand up by itself but the handle is why I bought it the handle is soft and smooth and doesn't give me blisters and it doesn't give me calluses on my palm either like the old ones do that are slick and hard. I would recommend anybody that needs a cane by this came it is fantastic to feel in your hand and will not hurt your skin.

The adjustable soft grip cane has a turn tightener and button clasp that locks in at the desired height, so while adjustable, it will NOT move. You can and do feel secure. This is NOT the cane that you can take apart. I didn't want that one, as this is not something that takes up space in storage and I wanted a continuous piece so I can move things closer over to me with it and also didn't like idea of having to "build" the cane. I would suggest this type over the type of cane you can take apart in pieces. I ruptured my achilles and I know that this BLACK cane does not ad a look of feebleness. I don't feel foolish using it. The handle is VERY comfortable to my hand and I can see this will be in the family for years (not cheaply built) if needed. I was looking for a cane for awhile, not wanting the candy cane shape wood type then not wanting to spend $40 or above either..since it's not forever. This fit the bill at $20 and does NOT draw attention by it's black color. If you have a sports injury and will use a cane for a short period, I would click "buy" on this one. After having looked so long, I was happy when I opened the box. It's nice..for what it is...hopefully won't be needing it for long!!

First time I have used/needed a cane so can't compare. It seems well built and the height adjustment 'buttons' are not difficult to position. They lock into the holes quite well. I like the feel and the grip of the handle. Caveats: I'm using it for balance only. I'm petite so can't attest to how it would hold up or support a tall/heavy person.

I love this cane! It feels good in my hand, it’s very light-weight, and it feels quite sturdy which gives me a feeling of security. The wrist strap is really handy when I need to use both hands and there is not a good place to park it. I like the single tip, but my neighbor has one with the four leg bottom on it, and she can simply stand hers up on the stand and it stays there. She often hangs her coat over it, which looks really convenient. However that little four legged stand isn’t as sleek for walking, so it’s a toss-up as to which is better. Depends on individual preference. Also, I got the blue one, and it is pretty.
