This has helped my mom get out of bed where she couldn't before and I for one think its great. Going to tell a story here. The Physical Therapist had never seen it before and thought it wasn't going to work until she saw it in the works and thought it was great and asked where I got it from and told her on Amazon. I was picking my mom up to grab onto her walker and I just couldn't do it anymore and this helped me and my mom so much and thank you for inventing it and putting it out there. I would give this ten stairs if it was there. Thank you and God Bless.
My father was very weak after his stroke and this tool was excellent help to get him up off the couch and bed. He is about 160 lbs so it was stable enough. I could see, however, if a person was much heavier it might not be strong/firm enough.
This is a lifesaver helping me get out of bed. It is light enough to store beside the bed, but sturdy enough so I can push myself up into a standing position. I have a foam mattress topper, and it is no problem.
First words out of my mouth the first time I used it... Thank You God! I was having trouble getting up from bed, Raised the bed, same trouble, saw this on Amazon...Best 30.00 spent ever! I sit up with my legs over the edge of the bed, put this behind and around me (being careful of where me bed clothes are ,not under the bar) and push on handles and Stand Up! No more rocking back and forth trying so hard to get "just the right" push!
My mom uses it a lot. She likes it because it assists her getting up from the sofa. VERY useful.

very helpful for the elderly ..
This is great help when getting out of bed.
Nice study product, but had to return because wouldn't fit and the way its made, concerns would put holes in our leather couch when getting up, pressure could end up being put on the front circular prongs instead of the back bar.... but really nice piece of equipment for the right situation!!! Would recommend for fabric couch or wide chair. NO issues with sitting on the bar like someone suggested. Just make sure to measure your chairs and make sure it will fit... Has to be wide to fit a person though!
This product helps a disabled person with little strength get up out of bed, or a chair. What a wonderful product this is. This, along with a slide board, can help an elderly disabled person to live at home and get out of bed, dressed and into a wheelchair. It's a wonderful product.
This assist rail is sturdy and folds down for portability. Allows me to push up from couches and church pews where no hand rails available. Have received info requests from others who see me use it. Comfortable padded grips. Two hand push up only as wouldn't be stable if only could use one hand. Works well for couches and benches. Too wide for standard chair. Haven't experienced any discomfort sitting back against rear bar.
