I've used/carried HALO seals since 09, when I built my own blow out kit for a deployment. These seals are amazing, from their durable packaging to their thick hydrophobic adhesive. Having used them in training and on live people, I can say that they are the chest seal I would want used on me if I were to require one. This particular model is an upgrade to their first generation that I bought years ago, and is also in compliance with the latest TCCC guidelines that suggest use of a seal with a one way valve. Also, this product contains 2 seals, one that is vented (a one way valve), the other is a standard occlusive seal. Being out of the military now, and in my current profession, this is the product I recommend to any one I work with who is carrying their own blow out kit.
I have NEVER used one except in training but I like having this in my individual first aid kit "just in case" one of our students have a major malfunction and I take an accidental round. Very sturdy packaging that will hold up when put into an individual first aid kit. The vented aspect makes this superb but we also have non-vented in our unit first aid kit.
All med professionals carry this for emergency chest decompression. Tried and true, great that they combine both vented and unvented in one package.
Got this for an IFAK I was putting together, but this thing is huge. Don't want to fold it so it's going in the pack instead.
Pretty much, the best vented chest seal on the market.

Bug out bag. Just for emergency or at the range.
Judging from the durability, and quality i can see I would bet my life on them if, God forbid, i needed to use them.
I would buy them again.
They come folded, it doesn't matter.
I have NOT had to use one for real but I have training for "sucking chest wounds" and this vented version appears superb for my first responder kit. The packaging is durable and looks like it will hold up in a larger kit for years.
