This heating pad is a generous size. After using standard and travel size for so long, this king-size is a real treat. It doesn't bunch up like other heating pads, as the element is properly secured throughout the covering. No scorching or stinging. I do wish the timer lasted a little bit longer before the auto shut-off kicks in. Still, I would buy it again.
I bought this heating pad because it is larger than most and has four settings. I occasionally have low back pain. While not serious, these episodes cause me discomfort for three or four days. The last time I had low back pain, I took two ibuprofen tablets and spent two hours laying on this heating pad. The next morning my back pain was gone. The heating pan seems to be well made and the heat settings are accurate. The heating pad has an automatic shutoff to avoid burns in case you doze off while using it, so it is both safe and effective.
The great thing about this heat pad is that it has 4 heat settings, from very weak (for sitting on) to very hot (for draping). I really appreciate the lower setting so my muscles don't get burned, but the heat penetrates the joint.
The other great thing about this pad is that it doesn't stink because it's plastic, made in the old style with a washable cover. This is good because the other, newer type (that smells like chlorine/a swimming pool) sets off my asthma.
I've been using this for about 2 months now. I use it daily under my feet at my desk lol I work from home, sitting at my desk for hours. My feet are always cold - not anymore ;)
A good sized heating pad can cover your entire back with warmth. Heats very quickly and if left on more than 45 minutes it will auto-shutoff.
Took off one star because of the power controller. It's close to the pad and can get in the way when the pad is used on your back and you want to lean against it and its own weight can cause the pad to fall off the back of a chair (controller is heavier than the pad). Instead of leaving the pad draped over the back of the couch I put a Command hook on the wall and hang the pad there.

I messed my hip and back up pretty well and got this heating pad hoping it would help. I did get pain relief, it heats up nicely. Just wish the cord was a bit longer and then the control I wish that was a bit father down so you arnt constantly laying on it (buuut that could be because I toss and turn a lot in my sleep). Overall it’s a heating pad and it does the job it’s supposed to do
