SuperBand® Instant Cold Pack - Pack of 6

If you are expecting miracle therapy with this product, then your in the wrong section. It's a bag that gets cold for a short time. It is meant for short time emergencys and that is what it does. And at a great price.

I keep these in my car, and have gone through several of them during the baseball season. There is alway someone getting a little bumped around at the 4-8 year old games / practices. They are sold cheaply enough that even when the child probably doesn’t need it I’ll give him one and it makes them feel better. They get cold fast and last for approximately 15-25 minutes.

We had 3.5 miles to go to get off the trail. We made it to the waterfall and to make a long story short after I soaked my ankle at the waterfall, my daughter wrapped my foot in a first bandage from out first aid kits and wrapped these ice packs around. The Duvall fire department rescued me on the last mile. Thank God we had these with us. It wasn't a sprain I actually broke my fibula (bone close to ankle). Get these for your safety.

I use these for softball games or as needed for a quick cool down. They work great on the back of your neck to help with heat exhaustion. They don't stay ice-cold for very long - more like 20 minutes tops, especially on hot days. Great if needed unexpectedly and they do not take up much real estate in your bag.

Works as described. We have a 2 year old who experiences febrile seizures. These are great to keep in the van or bag info case of fever spikes....or any kind of injuries.

Description

An instant cold pack is a device that consists of two bags; one containing water, inside a bag containing ammonium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate or urea. When the inner bag of water is broken by squeezing the package, it is allowed to dissolve the solid in an endothermic reaction. This reaction absorbs heat from the surroundings, quickly lowering the pack's temperature. Instant cold packs are a convenient direct replacement for crushed ice used as first aid on sport injuries, and can be carried as first aid to remote or wilderness areas where ice is unavailable.

These get decently cold immediately on use, and even though they only last 10 minutes or so, it's enough to ice down a sore knee on the road. An ice bag would be better, but these are more portable. One caveat: the interior bag that has to be popped can be fairly stubborn - make sure you feel it "pop" before you write these off.

really helpful when i could've get fresh ice as i as running a 205 mile relay with 11 other folks. Easy to use, and helped me after I banged up my knee in a fall

Awesome find. I’ve utilized these packs to stock my FAK’s. You can never have enough. They are small enough to carry but are a good size for being used quickly. Having several is a good idea. I will purchase these again.

These are perfect. I carry them for baseball and have already had to use one for a poor player that got hit by a ball. Perfect size & work quick.

I used these for after having a baby. They were perfect single use cold packs. Lasted a long time and were quick to get cold.
