As is the case of many purchases, this was an 'emergency' purchase. In my case, a sudden sore neck/shoulder that struck without warning, left me looking for a replacement for my old heating pad (its rectangular design meant for back more than shoulder or neck). This item was rated highly by users and its unique design seemed to be just what I needed. Delivery was quick (thank goodness!) and I anxiously plugged it in, wrapped it around my sore shoulder(s), turned it on and waited for it to apply heat to my neck. While it reached temperature fairly quickly, I was slightly disappointed that the neck 'flap' didn't seem to be as warm as the shoulder portion, nor did it cover my entire neck (my bad, I was hoping that it would wrap around the side of my neck more than it does). I ended up positioning the pad oddly on my shoulder/neck to apply heat to the *exact* spot... This wrap IS pliable compared to my other pad (and very soft). While this worked to help alleviate the pain in the long run, it wasn't a completely hands-free solution (if I shifted position, the heating pad also shifted). Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy with the purchase - and this pad IS much better than my old rectangular pad - but its coverage is *just* short of perfect (IMO). I knocked off 1/2 star for this - so overall, this item is 4.5 stars.
I asked a question about this heater and like every other Amazon review I get a myriad of answers. My question was I am a big guy so will it cover my shoulders? After perusing the answers, I ordered it anyway because I suffered a shoulder injury and there was nothing else. I received it yesterday and IT WILL NOT COVER THE SHOULDERS. This pad comes right to the end of my clavicle and doesn't touch any part of my shoulders. If I were to offer advice to the company it would be make this item in more sizes. Still I will use it for my hands and my neck and I like the idea of this pad being washable.
I will add the heat it supplies is great and the two hour timer is an extra bonus.
I like the heating pad and can use it for some rib issues I have as well as for the neck. The only thing I don't like is the bulky electrical plug in on the neck flap. It is large and not too flexible so will only lay one way and if trying to do paperwork or something similar while sitting with it on, it can be cumbersome. Other than that would recommend since it can be used for multi body parts.
I love this heating pad!!!! It it's very quick to warm up and oh so soft and comfy to wear. Has 3 heat settings , that are so fast to warm up, and a snap closure that stays closed. Has a 90 minute auto shutoff, but still continues to keep you warm if you dont remove it right away. I have only used it for dry heat. The added neck flap warmer it's great. I currently use this two or three times a day while sitting in bed. Have fallen asleep within it on. Very soothing! Great to loosen tightness in neck and shoulders. I rotate it sideways and it covers my one shoulder and part of upper arm. Highly recommend this!!!
My back and neck had been sore for a little too long since a minor snowmobile accident. 10 years ago not an issue, however now the healing process is longer than it used to be! This heats up quickly and helps loosen up the tight muscles. I like the snap at the neckline to keep it in place. The cord is about 5 feet(I haven’t measured it -just a guess) It’s not like you can walk around with it but long enough that if you are in the kitchen preparing dinner, you can stay in a stationary place and chop away!

This product is everything it claimed to be. It provided product dimensions in the description, but I didn’t measure my neck to make sure the product would fit, probably because in the photo it hung so loosely on the model. If you’re a bigger person/have a fat neck, you might want to measure your neck to make sure that it will fit /Snap together. It barely fits around my neck, but this is not the fault of the manufacturer.

This thing is so warm! I’ve been having issues with my lower back and shoulder, and this thing helps so much. It relaxes my muscles!!! The theory is like those heated blanket, but in a more compact and concentrated area. The heat is evenly distributed.

got the product today and was happy to see that this shipping label was right on the product box instead of putting it in another bigger cardboard box. The one thing I don't like about Amazon is the waste of cardboard. Thank you for not doing this! Also, I like the heating pad very much. It has a plastic smell when it is heated but I hope that will go away
The blanket fits snugly on the neck and shoulders, even without closing the snaps. It is easy to use sitting up or lying down. The electrical cord is nice and long so that you don't have to be right next to an outlet.
The snaps are a bit difficult to close. It definitely should be used with a timer because it is easy to fall asleep with it on, especially if you are lying down.
I am really happy I bought this heating pad designed for the specific use. It works great and fits well around the neck and shoulders. The cover is very soft. Cord is nice and long. The only down side is the snap closure is buried in the fluffy fabric. I’m not sure a magnetic closure would work because of people with pacemakers would set off an alert tone.
I would recommend this over trying to use a rectangular one, this one just cuddles the area.
