This mat worked great for my posture, lower back pain, leg pain and hip pain. I could find no clear reviews on mats like these vs the expensive Pranamat. I didn’t want to make an investment in the pranamat before trying this acupressure technique. After getting use to the prickliness of this mat and reaping the benefits I decided it was time to invest in the pranamat. The pranamat is WAY more prickly and even after using this mat without clothing I find it challenging to get use to the pranamat but super beneficial. The quality of the prana is unmatched and is definitely worth every penny. My plan is to have several of the above mats (for home, work, travel) and to have one pranamat (due to cost and prickliness) for intense sessions. I believe that any of these mats will provide some benefits but for supreme benefit pranamat is the way to go. I hope this helps.
Ok y’all - here you go:
I’ve been using this mat for about a week (I missed a day) and I have to say I’ve been raving about it. Let me break it down for you:
1. My over-the-top headaches have been less frequent. Jabout 9 years ago I was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and deal with ongoing headaches. Regularly they will become full on migraines - I’m on a daily med but I’ve still had to resort to OTCs. NOT THIS WEEK PEOPLE! I took 2 (count them 2) Excedrin migraines all week.
2. My flexibility has increased dramatically. Another fun part of the Chiari is back problems - but this bad boy seems to be helping. I don’t know how but it’s magic.
3. You lay on this mat for 5 minutes and your body goes all warm. Supposedly it’s because the blood flow is increasing. I say it’s magic.
4. My energy levels have increased and I feel so much calmer during the day. Again, magic.
Now for the cons -
1. My back issues haven’t totally gone away but I have a chronic disorder and it’s only been a week so I can’t expect unicorns to jump out of the spikey things. I’ll keep at it.
2. I’m a little bummed it didn’t help with sleep so far like some other reviewers said. Ah well.
5/5 stars AND I’ve told pretty much everyone I know about this thing. It’s a solid win for me and for anyone that is dealing with neck, back or headache issues.
I can't afford a massage every week, or every month, or at all if it doesn't have lasting effects. I've had FM for 17 years with horrible stiffness in my neck, shoulders and upper back. Every muscle feels permanently contracted and they don't know how to relax. My muscles can't unlearn being tight. This mat helps by stimulating blood flow to those contracted areas. I use the mat against my bare skin, from neck to tailbone. I feel a warm sensation within the first few minutes. I have to believe it's circulation to those damaged areas! Thank goodness! I feel like I've had a backrub after 20-30 minutes of being on the mat and neck bolster. Highly recommended if you need very deep tissue massage for injured areas. You will feel the benefits the next day because damaged tissues are showing some signs of life! I have FM resulting from two car accidents years ago. Hope this can help some of you as well.
Whenever my back aches, I just lay on this acupressure mat and it goes away. The first time I used it I had a hard time staying still. My back felt so itchy I had to keep moving to break the connection between spikes and skin. I've since found out that it meant I had a lot of tension for the mat to release and that it was working. Each time I laid on it, that sensation was less and less. It wasn't long before I was dozing off as I laid on it. You have to be very careful though, the spikes are SHARP. The first time I laid on it, I tried to reposition and my arm rubbed against the spikes, drawing blood and leaving a scrape that looked like road rash. You have to make sure you always move upward off the spikes and not across them. I've laid on the mat with bare skin and the spikes do NOT break the skin when you're laying on it.
this thing is life changing! i was hesitant at first but OMG it's so relaxing. i could lay on it all day! i prefer the mat to the pillow, but i usually use both.

This product works. I have a bulging disk C4 & C5. I use accupunture and it's expensive. This product is a back up when I can't get to accupuntrist and it works. Use for 20 minutes and it stimulates blow flow and relieves pain. Worth the money.
After reading several amazing reviews I broke down and ordered this for myself. I’ve had chronic back problems for years, so I thought why not at least try it. Even after buying it I looked at it for the last couple days unsure- THEN I pulled a muscle in my back during my morning workout- I’ve been laying low all day- then I remembered I purchased this mat. Well let me tell you, after just 10 minutes of laying on it my pain had vanished. I’m just blown away. My boyfriend also used it the other day, and after 20 minutes his pain was gone. I can’t recommend this enough
I am fused from L3 to S1 and have crazy spasms in my low back. I find that this gives actual relief to muscle spams and the nasty pain that often keeps me from doing what I want and need to do. A very simple device that actually works.
This mat was recommended by a family member, and while I was skeptical at first - it is poking plastic "spikes" in your back after all - after a couple of days I love it. We travel with the mat, which is useful after a long, stressful day of meetings. Simply roll it out, stretch out, relax. Highly recommend.
This mat is AMAZING. I have had awful back and neck pain for the past few months, but I did not want to shell out the money to see a chiropractor of masseuse unless I absolutely had to. I ran across this item in an article for "Amazon Must-Haves" and saw all the great reviews. I figured it was worth a shot! However, I HATE needles, so I was both excited and nervous to try it out. All I can say now is WOW! I have only used this product for about a week at this point, and I am currently lying on the mat on my bare skin on top of my mattress. I can lie down for 20 minutes, and once that time it up, I do not even want to get off the mat. The spikes hurt upon initial contact, but shortly thereafter, you begin to feel a very warm and soothing feeling as your blood rushes to the surface. The feeling is very cozy and alleviating! Once I get up, my pain is gone, and I am able to function appropriately. Now, I recommend this product to everyone I know who suffers from knots and back.neck pain!

Fantastic Post! Lot of information is helpful in some or the other way. Keep updating.acupressure mat pillow set
