I ordered two of these about a month ago and have used them EVERYDAY multiple times a day for heat therapy on head, neck, and upper back, as well as cramps. I really like them cause they don't smell or become "burnt" with continuous use. I have noticed however that the little beads shrink the more time I use the product.they start out as the size of a small pea, but become small bee bee sized as the use increases. I can deal with this, but I wish they stayed the same size. I am currently in the process of ordering TWO more as the price is great. Due to needing a hotter wrap, I can heat this product in the microwave to a temperature that I need. Just remember that the heat lasts only about 30-45 minutes instead of over an hour of other products that burn when used continuously!
The outer cover was a bit deceiving because I thought it would be softer than the details provided. I wanted it to be softer but easy remedy, my mom made fleece covers for them and presto, softness. Of course my use is highly irregular as they are heated a minimum of 10 or more times a day at 1 minute to 1 minute 45 seconds. I believe my constant use equals what the average person would use the product in a year. The weight of the item is acceptable and does not cause more pain. I like that I can heat it more or less time for what I need.
Definitely not made for "walk around the house" activities as it slides around, but when in bed or on a chair, not an issue. I recommend this product but agree with the other reviewers that in the beginning there is a powdery dust the first two to fifth time heated, but fades away. Lastly, I have to watch carefully as with the continued use use the bag of beads stitching can and does make an escape route for wayward heat peas. Just stitching the "holes or seams" solves the problem.
Update 09.23.2014. I just ordered four more and feel I get my monies worth. Due to my need to heat it 10-20 times a day the material inside the bag of beads develop tears and micro beads tend to cause a trail. i remedy this by replacing them. The weight of the item is perfect for me as some others are too heavy, burn, and create more pain. My mom continues to make me more durable outer covers.
One recommendation I have is add more Velcro fasteners, as one is NOT enough. Minimum of four would improve the quality or better yet a heat safe zipper instead. Other than the above this product is worth it, u can't go wrong by purchasing one or more.
My #1 requirement was that the wrap have no smell while in the microwave or while wearing it. My #2 requirement was that the wrap stay in place even if I moved around. This wrap hit #1 but not so much #2. The back of the wrap is heavy and the front flaps are just not long enough to balance out the weight and keep it in place. If you lay against a pillow or couch back while you relax, though, it works great!

I have chronic neck and shoulder pain. I heat and use it every morning. I purchased in 2015. After a few months of almost daily use, I started to find the little beads all over my house. Somewhere there was a hole and they were coming out. Today, it went in the garbage as I picked it up and a waterfall of bead fell out. I did get relief when I used it and it would relieve the morning stiffness I would wake up with. I will be ordering another one but wish the seams of the inner part were stronger to not allow holes for the beads to escape.
I'm 32 and already have arthritis build-up in the neck and shoulder vertebrae. This is light enough I don't feel weighed down, but heavy enough I can get up and do things around the house and chase my 5 year old. I can not even explain the magnitude of the relief this wrap has given me, especially the coverage area. It's unbelievably soothing! I use it just about every day, and it's even made it much easier to sleep!
This is one of the largest and heaviest heat wraps I've used. It's almost too big for my microwave! I like the shape and how it covers my neck and shoulders. The heat lasts for about 20-25 minutes, just enough for some quick relief. It's fairly moist but doesn't wet my clothes, which is nice as well. I've found these types of heat wraps only work well for a year before needing replacement, but I'm hopeful given the size, that it will last a while. Having a removable, cleanable cover certainly helps so I can make sure the microwave smells don't linger in the fabric of the wrap.

I purchased this based on a referral from a friend who has it. I'm very happy I decided to purchase it. It heats up well has NO weird smells and stays hot for a bit. I wish it's possible it could be got longer but I understand why it can't. My kids fight me over it all the time as they want it as much as I do. Maybe I should order a few of them.
The best thing about this product is that it came with it's own cover and its washable so it keeps your wrap nice and clean from any oils on your body. I would recommend this to anyone who has pain as it is a very nice moist heat wrap!
This is a great heat pad for your neck and shoulders. It rests nicely around your neck. Heating in the microwave takes only a couple minutes and the wrap stays warm for several minutes after. This is a much better option than rice heat pads. If you overheat this one it won't burn and smell bad. I've been through one of these already. The only downside was the inside started to tear open after a lot of usage. So I bought a new one.
The pictures and the video are a wee bit deceiving - the wrap really isn't large enough to to cover both shoulders at once, unless you're a tiny person, maybe an 8 year old. That said, it's a good size and a good shape to effectively work for a lot of various areas - one shoulder at a time, just the neck, lower back, knee, foot and ankle... I find the weight of it to be comforting, but not too heavy, and after heating it in the microwave for 2:30 it stays hot for about 15-20 minutes, and warm for quite a while after. I find that it doesn't really get cold enough in the freezer to be useful as a cold pack. I do like the way it's constructed with several different "compartments" for the filling, so it's going to stay pretty evenly distributed and not all bunch up at one end.
Evidently, my review of this product was mixed with my dented pumpkin can. I do hope you all find this product as comforting as I do since I wrote the 1 minute 45 second time on it with a permanent marker to heating it in the microwave. It comes out perfect every time so I sit watching tv in comfort instead of pain. I do hope this didn't cause anyone to miss out on a very good product. I got a call saying I mixed it with the dented pumpkin cans. Believe me you cannot dent this soothing next wrap. I am very glad the gentleman called to let me know. It is really nice and dependable.
I LOVE this wrap. I purchased it for myself to use heated on my neck and shoulders for arthritis. Now we are using cold for my husband's shoulder surgery. It stays cold for a very long time. I like it so much, I am purchasing 2 more to give to our adult children for Christmas ! LOVE, LOVE this heat/cold pack!
