The lenses on these glasses are lightweight and seemed to be adjusted to the +150 that I'm used to. They are on a spring hinge and the stems have "built recycled" on the side. They seem a bit oversized for me in regards to looks but i like that they give a wider viewing angle.
I kept feeling that a couple of them were sitting crooked on me but given that they are readers an a great price, I'm not expecting perfection. They don't necessarily feel cheap, on the contrary, the hinge gently squeezes in on the temples and they feel secure and substantial.
Overall for price, quality and function, it's hard to complain about them.
While the frames may appear to be slightly heavy-- they aren't, actually, but I was used to metal frames-- these reading glasses fit surprisingly well.
The plastic lenses are light but apparently accurately "ground" (or however plastic lenses are made). I was also able to purchase them with 3.50 magnification, which no pharmacy or Costco carries in my area.
Having five pair of clear lenses is a real benefit, too-- there is now one pair next to my chair, one pair in the car, one in my briefcase, and a couple more on standby in my drawer. The dark-lensed pair is also on standby, as I'm unlikely to need them for awhile. It's December in Seattle, and the sun is waiting behind the clouds... for the arrival of summer!
And of course the best aspect, and what got them their fifth star-- they cost only $2.50 per pair, which is really hard to argue with!
These are remarkably good for the price, and probably would be competitively priced if they were a single pack. Don't know exactly what these are made out of, but it seems like some very durable polycarbonate plastic compound. Glasses feel like quality which is remarkable for the price point.
PROS: Construction-well built and solid. Have dropped these, put things (like books) on them, and they keep on ticking. The plastic that the frames are made out of also seems somewhat scratch resistant.
Lenses are clear and seem to have the optical centers in the right place. Sometimes, with these reasonably priced (cheap) reading glasses, the optical centers are off, which makes it harder to read and causes headaches after awhile.
Spring clip hinges are durable and not particularly obtrusive. You can see the spring hinges on these, and they continue to work fine after many uses.
Customer service seems to be real people who respond to e-mails and stand by their product. Can't say enough good things about the company.
NEUTRAL: Colors are fairly standard and the styles are exactly the same. Great if you lose/break them, boring if you have 5 pairs of the same glasses.
CONS: Spring hinges are not hidden inside the hinge. I've never seen that at this price point, but it never hurts to ask.
Overall, you are getting five pairs of glasses for the price of about two cups of coffee. Can't beat that with a stick.
Hope this helps and good luck with your shopping decision.
I am the killer of reader glasses. I store them on the neck of my shirt while working and they always fall. I rip them off my head when done and they always get stuck in my cap. I put them in the pocket of my work coat with screws, pencils and stuff and dig them out when needed. They end up on the floor of my truck. With all this, my glasses usually fall apart in no time or get scratched if they last that long. I have to write a review on these guys as they are holding up very well with the abuse! The optical quality is very good too. Other inexpensive brands would sometimes be off, as one lens wouldn't have the same strength as the other and would cause serious nausea. These are well made, hold up well, no scratches yet, hinges are still tight, nice spring action and I will buy more as I'm good at making them disappear...well I like for every coat, car and room in the house to have a pair ready :) Note: why in the heck would you need tinted readers????? I don't
Can't say enough good things about these readers. I love having 6 pairs in a box and the fact that one of them is tinted for outdoor use is a plus. I keep them all over the house and in all my vehicles. This is the 3rd box I've bought and they last and last, of course unless you sit on them, which I've been known to do! The spring loaded hinges keep them tight on your face and there is no distortion.

Fine glasses. Their 2.25 diopter power means that an object that is approximately 17.5 inches distant from the glasses will appear to be at an infinite distance (but proportionately larger so that its size has not changed). Interestingly, an infinite distance is probably not the most comfortable viewing distance for most people. As you bring the object in to a distance less than 17.5 inches, the distance of the object's virtual image will rapidly diminish from infinity so that when the object is only 14 inches away from the eyeglasses, its virtual image will be about 70 inches away (and will appear somewhat larger than the object). This distance of the virtual image is probably great enough for most far-sighted people to focus on. I would prefer a little more power for reading glasses (e.g. 2.5 or even 2.75 diopters). The more powerful glasses would allow you to comfortably bring the object in closer (e.g. to 12 inches or less) and consequently give you more magnification, but these 2.25 diopter reading glasses are adequate for my wife and me. We've dropped them on the floor numerous times with no resultant damage, and the spring-loaded ear pieces still work like new.
These glasses are comfortable and tough. I abuse my reading glasses and I'm lucky to get a few weeks out of each pair. These glasses have been punished and are still great. I recently took these on a 70+ mile backpacking trip. They were strapped to the shoulder strap of my backpack and not in a case. Those of you that backpack know that a pair or feadersxstrapped to the outside of a backpack without a case is asking for trouble. But somehow they made it through the trip unharmed and still performing perfectly. Great value!
I have purchased magnifiers locally and in most cases, they miss the mark in some way. I read frequently and do close work at times. Lens quality is important, but the frames have to be durable, as well. These glasses have proven themselves over time. This is our second purchase, as my eyes needed a slightly stronger strength. Right out of the box, I saw a an improvement
Shipping was super fast!
Included in the package , a lens cleaning cloth and a jewelers screw driver.
The frames are heavier than the last set bought from the same vendor. Might be due to the increase in lens (+2.00)

Definitely recommend this product to those who are purchasing readers from retail shops. On a whim, after my $15.99 steel-rimmed readers frame broke at a weld point, I searched AMZ. This was near the top of the results. After reviewing, I thought “what the heck”. What a deal!!! For less than I paid for those drug-store readers, I got 6; 3 tortoise, 2 black, 1 sunglasses. They're durable, good workmanship, fashionable, and most of all the lenses. The problem with previous readers I’ve had is the lenses are like dust & grime magnets. The lenses on these readers don’t have that problem at all.
Great deal. As advertised. Got a nifty tool to tighten screws as needed. Feels much sturdier than the 4 or 5 I have purchased from $6-$25 from major retailers. Got many compliments at work.
My guess is these are 52x18 or 52x19. It doesn't say. They are called vintage but they are modernized styles. One is like my first pair of glasses. Guess I'm vintage. My point is they don't fill your face but aren't narrow top to bottom either. I like all the ones sent and would buy again with no hesitation.
