I thought this was the silliest thing when I saw it. My mother in law said, "We've always just used our hands. When did people become so fussy about getting their hands dirty". I tended to agree with her until one evening I was trying to put cream on my little one and low and behold he rolled over. While initially being happy that he had completed his first roll, I realized that there was now diaper rash cream everywhere and a diaper that had disappeared to the floor. Now I had to find the diaper, my hands covered in Desitin and a two month old rolling like an alligator trying to escape the dreaded cold wipe. After wrestling my alligator, trying to avoid a sprinkler incident, getting everything cleaned up, and swaddling that little roller up like a burrito I ordered this product. Now when my little one decides to roll I simple set this down on it's suction base and have both hands to grab on to him. No mess, and the alligator isn't escaping! The suction cup base is great, and I like that it can spread the cream very thick on his tush. Much better than I have been able to with my hands. So now I'm a silly person who is too good to use their hands (or maybe just a bit wiser). I recommend trying it.

How-to/functionality:
Diaper cream under your finger nails is a thing of the past with this diaper cream brush. Just wipe or squeeze cream on the head of the brush, wipe on baby bottom, using wet wipe quickly clean brush head off, and put away (suction cup at bottom allows for upright storage). This product is not necessary, just like a wipe warmer, but completely worth the price. This is an affordable baby product that is now a luxury that I don't want to live without.

Color/Material/Size:
Colors are bright. Brush is soft, smooth, and sturdy yet flexible. Brush is fairly long (estimated at 6").

I can hear you scoffing already.. "Why is this necessary?"
I know because my husband and I literally laughed at this product when we first saw it. We registered for it partially as a joke and partially to see what all the hype was, only to find it to be one of our FAVORITE baby products.

I keep my nails long, and digging rash cream out from under my nails is no fun. This is a life saver. It's also nice to know I'm not spreading any of my own germs around my little one's already uncomfortable rash, AND to not have hands that smell like rash cream all day!

Long story short, we all know this is not a necessity. But really, how many unnecessary things do you own that make your life that much easier?? Probably more than you'd like to admit. Add this one to your stash of small luxuries.

Ok, my parents openly laughed at me for buying this when my baby was a few months old. They thought I was scared to touch my baby's butt. Let me tell you, I've touched a lot of bad stuff since my baby was born - a clean butt doesn't scare me.

The fact is, this little spatula is a great idea if you have a squirmy baby. It makes applying desitin or aquaphor faster, just one or two swipes, it goes on more evenly, and it doesn't take your hand out of order if the baby attempts an escape. Once he starts to roll, you can just stick the wand with the diaper cream on it to the table, grab the baby with both hands, readjust and then apply. Clean hands the whole time.

My sister in law saw it and once I explained what it was for immediately said she wanted one. Not only did I recommend it, I ordered her one as a gift.

I love this thing. I'm a nurse practitioner and am not grossed out by touching my babies bottom (honestly, no one wants to think about where my fingers have been). What is annoying to me is having the water-proof barrier ointments all over my fingers, not to mention how much is wasted on my fingers. The people who say it's easy to wash off must not be using a very good product, because the point of it is to protect the skin from moisture. Anyways, this product keeps my hands clean and puts a good even layer on my third child's bottom. After i apply i simply wipe the remaining portion (which is significantly less than what would be on my fingers) on the inside of his new diaper. It's super easy, super efficient, and well worth the price. I'm sure the amount of cream I'm not wasting pays for the tool. I wish i had this for my first two kids, and it's definitely going to be a baby shower gift this year.

This is the silliest thing I have ever purchased. Never thought I’d purchase a brush for cream. I even feel slightly dumb spending 15 on this. That being said, totally worth the money. Not having diaper cream stuck under my nails is amazing. The cream is also distributed so much better with this than with my own finger. I mean it’s just a great product. Totally not necessary but great none the less and I wish I had purchased it a while ago. In highlight though I would just get two travel size ones as opposed to one of each.

AMAZING!!! At first I thought, JUST USE YOUR FINGER! Butt then I decided to give it a try when my poor little ones but was so tender and it seemed like portions were sticking more to my fingers then him. It smooths on so quick and doesn't hurt. Easy to clean and spreads cream or Vaseline on very nicely and quickly around my little kicker (even on my lil boy who has more "stuff" to move around then a baby girl)

I purchased the BabyBum Diaper Cream Brush as a baby gift for a first-time mom. My son and daughter-in-law have 2 for my grandchild--one for the nursery and one for the diaper bag. This is one of the best ideas ever. As any parent knows, any diaper rash prevention/treatment product worth the name is thick, sticky, and hard to get off the hands of the diaper changer. Hand application results in using more product than necessary because about 1/3 to 1/2 of the product seems to remain on the fingers of the person applying. THEN comes the problem of getting it off the fingers so the diaper can be closed and fastened. This item is like a third hand--no joke! It has a suction cup base that keeps it anchored to the changing table or nearby chest in an upright position. This means you can load the spatula-like applicator end with the diaper cream product BEFORE removing the dirty diaper. Your hands stay free of the cream while you tidy baby and position the clean diaper. The brush is very soft and flexible, but it is silicone so the cream does not adhere to it like it does to skin and you truly use much less. Then, when you are finished with application, the brush can be "stuck" back in an upright position to the surface of the chest/table until diapering is done, so no messy transfer. Cleanup is a breeze with a baby wipe. What I would have given to have this 28 years ago! Some of the best money you will ever spend! Additional comment: I just realized something! I'm going to order one of these things for myself-- to apply depilatory cream to my face! Update: I did purchase this product specifically to apply depilatory cream to my face and it works like a charm. Very pleased!

You never knew you needed this...but you do! I am normally a skeptic of gimick items.
My daughter has extremely sensitive skin and gets rashes easily. She also gets yeast infection rashes every time she has to be on antibiotics. We always felt sooooo terrible every time we had to put cream on her butt. She would just scream and try to get away. You could tell she was very uncomfortable. We were trying to find any type of solution.
It is still uncomfortable for her but the BabyBum Diaper Cream Brush makes the process go a lot quicker. This magic paddle works like a quick paint brush and spreads the cream quickly and easily everywhere it needs to be. We purchased an extra for daycare and another to keep in the diaper bag.
As a bonus, no more cream under my nails!

As a 4th time mom, I’ve narrowed down what I really need and I truly thought these were a joke! I just so happed to get my first brush in a bundle, so I tried it out when my formula fed newborn got a bad bout of diahrrea. Well, fast forward 3 weeks later, I have 3 of these brushes, and he doesn’t have diaper rash! I have purchased more of these ‘silly’ butt spatulas and we are all happy people!
The thing about them is that the diaper cream goes on super smooth and even, and doesn’t get all over your hands and under your nails. I used to use a tissue to apply the diaper cream but that wastes a lot. The brushes waste practically nothing. And a hen I’m done, I clean it with a wipe & a squirt of anti-bac gel, and it’s ready for next time.
Once I started using it- and I was using it literally 10x a day, I ordered more so I had one in my diaper bag, and at each changing spot. This thing really is awesome!
