This is the best product we've purchase with regards to ice therapy. We've bought several products pertaining to ice & heat therapy, which are all good and helpful. But if we had to, or could only buy one, this would be the one. The other recommendation is to buy an extra gel pack, because refreezing would be better time management and you can also use two gel packs at a time during therapy. Highly recommend......the comfort level is a 10, worth every penny, don't be scared off by price.
This thing works BETTER than promised. The cold is held firmly right where it is needed. I didn't think a neoprene wrapper would make much difference, but it really does. I'm sorry it took me so long to getting around to buying one of these. It works on either hip, lower back, or upper thighs. You can use the cold gel pack that comes with it, or use your own gel packs. I've even put ice in a ziplock baggie and that works great too. I'm thinking about a second one to keep at work.
BEFORE I went in for hip surgery, I tried this on and thought it fit poorly and would never work right but I held onto it. AFTER hip surgery, this thing was phenomenal. I ended up having to alternate cold packs for the inflammation followed by hot packs to resolve muscle spasms. This thing kept the temperature of the gel pack in a therapeutic range for a long time. Even in the CPM machine or on exercise bike, the gel pack stayed in place. Amazing product. I advise getting multiple packs so that you can switch from cold pack to hot pack easily.
Wonderful design that also fits very large people...or most any adult size. It worked wonders for bursitis in my husbands hip. Saved a lot of $$$ getting professional help! We also ordered a 9 x 12 'Moist Heat' by ThermalOn. We didn't like putting the gel pack in the microwave. (Thinking it might shorten the life of it?)

LOVE this ice pack! I had a hip replacement last Wednesday and I was looking for an item that would fit well and stay in place. I was concerned about the fit prior to purchase because I am a larger woman sized 1X/2X, but this fit just fine! It places the ice where you need it the most...right over your hip, it doesn't fall off or slide off compared to other items I have tried. Hospitals should at the very least reccomend this item to their hip replacement patients, if not just carry them. The hospital ice pack was ridiculous! So happy with the purchase, I couldn't say enough good things about it!!

Unbelievable! I have had 1 replacement and one hip revision in a span of year. I am still in pain but this is a God send! I freeze the ice overnight, and wear it to work and part of the morning! It takes me 45 min to get to work and then 45 min. I wear it driving both ways. It has made such a difference! Get one NOW!!
Terrific product. The wrap keeps the ice packs perfectly and comfortably in place. I have previously used a Nano cooling/heating machine with hip cooling pack, and this ActiveWrap Hip Wrap is far superior in quality, and I daresay in convenience, despite having to take the ice packs to and from the freezer. It also costs less than a third than the Nano rental for a week in my area.
Couldn't be any better. I used it after hip surgery and it was fantastic to be able to move around while icing. I got the back version as well and love that too. The Velcro is really strong. The only complaint I have is that the leg Velcro on the hip wrap is getting weak, but I'm guessing that's simply from all the use it's gotten.
Seems to have real therapeutic value. Cumbersome, but what else can you expect for keeping a large ice pak on your hip?
I bought this wrap for severe bursitis in my hips. It is great! The ice pack is super flat and wraps easily around the body. The wrap is pretty large so the straps could fit a rather large person. The ice pack stays put due to the separate leg strap that can be used or not. You can even put other ice packs under the straps for other icing needs. I have hot flashes so I put an ice pack under the tummy spot to help cool me down. Works great!
