2" Elastic Bandages with Clips (Pack of 10), MCR

2" Elastic Bandages with Clips (Pack of 10), MCR Medical

2

These bandages are soft, thick, and highly elastic. The 2" size is perfect for my needs. The clips appear from the photos to be attached to one end of the bandage, but they aren't. Just set them aside, wrap the bandage, and put the clips in place. Stretch the elastic between the two ends of each clip just a tiny bit and they'll hold just fine. I'm using the 10-pack because I'm having to change the bandage on my 23-lb dog's leg three times a day. He is oozing and bleeding a bit, so I'll be soaking and washing these in cold water before re-using them. Don't put these bandages in the dryer; heat is hard on elastic and they'll last longer if you just let them dry in the open air.

These work well enough for me. I use one to support a leg that has shin splints, just for taking one hour walks. I tried the first one without washing it first and it gave me a slight rash, so now I wash them before the first use, after which they're OK.

I agree with other reviewers who say they're not the same good quality as the old Ace bandages, but I bought these because Ace now puts anti-bacterial in their bandages. That's important enough to me to give these 4 stars instead of the 3 I would have given. And, to be fair, the price is very reasonable--though I'd be willing to pay more for better quality.

The clips work OK for me, unlike for some other reviewers. Maybe it's because I don't need to wear the bandage for long periods of time. Anyway, when I lost the first set of clips I just used a safety pin.

For the price and how I'm planing on using them, you can't ask for a better deal. I bought the 2 inch rolls in a 10 pack, they came in a resealable bag, individually wrapped, with 2 elastic clips each. I plan on having these as part of my emergency kit since my old ones just retired. I believe this set will last me a solid 10-15 years(since we try not to get injured) give or take depending on circumstances. I am currently using one and it is great so far.

These bandages perform as well as the big brand name bandage providers. I don't know about durability as yet, however I have washed a couple in hot water and bleach to remove any medical salves. They easily meet all my needs at a reasonable price. The 4 rating is because the provided clips won't last more than one use. I have lost all I have used so far. See my comments on the subsitutue clips.

They did the job, i needed the bandages to put pressure on a wound to reduce swelling, they worked very well.
A couple of precautions:
The metal clips can pierce your skin and result in bad infections, my nurses would not use them.
Any time you wrap a bandage all the way around a limb you have to be careful that you so not cut off circulation which can cause issues.

This is a fantastic bargain. I've got two very athletic teenagers, and an active family. We use these to hold ice packs in place mostly, but they are fine quality and would be useful for strains and sprains as well. I keep a couple in our first aid kit as well. At less than $1 a piece, the price can't be beat. I like the style of clips included, they are the same as used on big name brands.

they look and feel like ace bandages but at a much lower price point. i will definitely order these over and over again once they ware out.

Tried and true. Sometimes these old school remedies work best for me. Some ben-gay, or heat ointment onto injured area, and rest and take it easy until you recuperate. Worked for me. Time is a healer. Great price for the Quality and quantity.

Instead of using bandages, I wrap my wound pads with with these And wash them when needed.Saves me from buying expensive bandages, which I have to throw away

I use these to secure icepacks to both knees after PT exercises at home. They work fine. I use one for each knee. Not as heavy weight as at the the PT, but still do the job just fine. For this purpose, no need to use the clasps that are included. Just tuck the left over roll into the edge of a previous turn--that's what my PT does.
