This folding cane is well built and comfortable. It goes together with very little, if any play in the joints. There are only two issues I found with it that kept it from a 5 star rating. First, the finish is just spray paint and it scratches off easily. It would have been so much nicer if it were powder coated or had a more durable finish. The second issue is something that is lacking in all folding canes like this. They need a simple snap in holder to keep all the pieces in line and not beating each other up while folded. I made a quick and easy holder with my 3D printer that does an amazing job at holding all the tubes in a row. There is no reason something like this could not be included with the cane for just a few pennies more.

I bought this folding cane for a trip next month to San Francisco. I recently had knee replacement surgery, and although I am walking most of the time without a cane on flat surfaces, my physical therapist recommended taking a cane on this trip because SF is so hilly. I didn't want to lug along the regular cane, so I searched for a foldable one and found this one on Amazon. I unpacked it and removed the hard plastic that keeps it folded during shipping (had to use sharp scissors to cut through the plastic). It was easy to unfold and it clicked solidly into place without much effort on my part. I walked around the house with it and was very pleased with how sturdy it seems. I then re-folded it without a problem, using a sturdy elastic band to keep it folded, as an earlier reviewer recommended. I will carry it on the plane with me in my hand luggage and use as needed on the trip. Earlier reviews talked about the handle not being cushy enough. I think it will be fine. Earlier reviews, as well as Q and A, talked about whether it would work for a short person. I am 5'3" and I adjusted it to the shortest height so it would reach where my regular cane does, as set by my PT. I don't think it would work for someone shorter than that. i will update this review after the trip if my opinion changes.

Works great, but even coming out of the package, the finish is starting to scratch. Fortunately it's not much of a problem for me, as I bought it, intending to cover it in vinyl stickers. Folds away, but isn't as small once you adjust it to your size, unless you want to re-adjust it every time you take it out to use it. It's a gorgeous color, but it does scratch incredibly easy, so be mindful of that. It seems sturdy enough, but unless it's tightened perfectly, it can click when you walk- just make sure to tighten down that clamp thing near the adjustment section (it screws down tighter).

I recently needed surgery for an injury and bought this cane for my recovery.

What I like about this one:
1. It breaks down easily (like a tent pole) for storage and transport.
2. The height adjustment is quick and easy.
3. The handle is comfortable.
4. The tip has good traction and inspires confidence.
5. It's lightweight, but feels sturdy. I've only used it for a couple of weeks, so not sure about long term durability. But, so far, so good.
6. It's relatively inexpensive.

I'm not sure I'd change anything. The one thing that I didn't use (and eventually took off) was the strap.

I recently had a knee replacement, and my insurance would only pay for a very medicinal looking walker or cane. This cane is well constructed, collapses for easy storage, and doesn't make me feel as self conscious as those ugly things from my doctor. The tubes are shock corded (ie; there is a bungee cord inside the tubes from top to bottom, so the tubes stay together and in order when you collapse it. I was worried that the purple coating would chip off, but so far, the finish is holding strong. The coating is like a metallic enamel coating, not some cheap spray paint. The handle is rubberized and is easy and comfortable to grip. It is also easy to adjust. You just unscrew the safety ring, press in the pin, and pull/push to desired height. Once adjusted, tighten the safety ring to make sure it stays at the adjusted height even if the pin gets inadvertently pushed in during use. The strap is nice to have so you don't need to figure out how to get to the floor in the event you drop it. However, it should be noted that there is only one foot on this cane, so it will NOT give you the stability of a 3 or four legged cane. That said, I found this cane to be high quality, packed with lots of features, at a GREAT price.

I almost didn't buy this because of some negative reviews but I needed something for an upcoming trip where there will be uneven walking surfaces.

I also bought one for a neighbor who is on 3rd hip replacement. She's been using it for a week and loves it. Looks a bit more chic than your usual cane
and the price was great.

We both bought the purple version which is actually more raspberry or fuschia. Both came with a hard plastic thingy to hold parts together when folded. Some people mentioned velcro. That's not what we got.

We're finding the cane to be very stable. We both have it on shortest length. So far no scratches or chipping paint. I'm attaching some pics including one with customer service info. Hope this is helpful

It says it has a lifetime warranty. I did not notice that before purchasing. I registered mine with Amazon purchase order # and saved the customer service info in my contacts for future reference.

This cane is far nicer than the one I bought at Walgreens at a much higher price. I bought the Grey model and love it. This seller is also amazing. They not only sent me an email separate from Amazon's purchase notification they also just sent me a follow up email. VIVE Health is an amazing company that answers every email. In the future if they sell any device dictated by my health needs I will buy from them. The Cane itself is nicely finished and well made. The grip is padded and it is very sturdy and adjustable as well. This cane has become my favorite cane and one of the least expensive as well. Superlative Company with superlative products. Recommend them highly.

Update: This has become my favorite cane for everyday use. Would not be without it.

I ordered two Vive Folding Walking Canes for my husband during the worst of this past Christmas rush. He uses a walker and walking canes depending on where he'll be having to walk, ie: tight spaces, somewhere to "park" his walker, etc... Anyway, he needed these two canes very badly. They came packaged well and were here in just 2 days using my Prime Amazon. What a way to shop! The Vive Health Direct canes are all the company promised, they easily fold-up, collapsible, lightweight, easily adjustable for height and he finds them very easy to walk with and keep his balance. Thank you Vive Health Direct. Your prices are excellent for an excellent product.

Good cane for the low price and easy to break down and fit into the bag provided. I have foot drop and neuropathy (numbness and balance issues) in both feet but with braces and a cane I can walk safely. If by chance I need to carry 2 bags of groceries, as long as the bags are balanced I can easily fold up this cane and put it in one of them and walk cautiously but safely without the hassle and distraction of a regular non-folding cane which puts me at a greater risk for falls. I left my last (non-folding) cane at a confusing bus stop. Nice to have a good (actually better) folding one again at half the price of the last one for travel options.

Sturdy, feels good in my hand. I like the way you can sort of shake it to get it to come back together from it's collapsed state. Only problem is that, when collapsed, it doesn't want to stay that way. It's sorta like sitting next to one of those exploding "Snake-in-a-Can" toys. It will snap back straight without warning. Don't let that strap fool you. There is no convenient way to secure it in its collapsed state. I've taken to keeping a rubber band handy.
