I have been needing a decent heating pad for a while now, so I was really excited to order this. The day it arrived I happened to get one of the worst headaches of my life. I threw it in the freezer for about an hour before bed and then wrapped it around my neck when I went to sleep. It was the best feeling and instantly my headache was subdued. It wasn't the same stinging cold as an ice pack.... it was actually a really pleasant feeling.
The following day I was spending time with my boyfriend who has been struggling with stomach pains lately, so we put the heating pad in the microwave for about 2 minutes and he placed it on his abdomen. He loved it! It warmed up really quickly and held the heat very well! And he found that his pains went away in a matter of minutes.
I have also been warming it for a shorter time (around 1 minute) and sleeping with it because the nights have been really cold, and its perfect for a little extra warmth.
I have already found so many opportunities to use it and i'm excited to continue using it. And this is something I don't usually discuss in my reviews, but I have to say, the packaging felt really luxurious. The design was clearly thought through well, and opening the box made me even more excited to use the heating pad! I highly recommend this heating pad. It has really even temperature distribution and I know it will come in handy for plenty of situations!
I've tried out a fair number of heating pads over the years - everything from electric to heated water and microwavable ones filled with beads - and they've all had their problems. Either the cord would be in the way, or it wouldn't keep hot very long, or it would just be too small to soothe the entire area. This heating pad is totally different and doesn't have any of those problems.
The heating pad arrived in gorgeous packaging and includes easy-to-follow instructions. One of the first things I noticed was how comfortable it was. Its heavy, flexible, and soft. Combined with the velcro strap on the cover, it stays in place perfectly. This is especially important to me since I primarily use it on my knee and shoulder which can both be awkward areas to keep one in place. I used the microwave to heat it up and was pleasantly surprised by how gentle the heat was. Once applied I could instantly feel the relief as it comfortably warms up the area. I used it in it's protective cover and over a thin layer of clothing and could still feel it working. It stayed nice and warm for a long time - at least a few hours after only a few minutes in the microwave. I tried it out cold a few days later and found it to be really soothing for my headache. I'd also point out that this heating pad really is the perfect size. It's large enough to cover the target area, but it isn't so big that you'll find it getting in your way.
I highly recommend this heating pad. It's a great product that delivers exactly what it promises.
When I first opened the box, everything was very neatly packed and ready for me to dig into! I felt like someone really took their time to care for this item. There are cleaning wipes, the pad, the case, and an extra band extension. The user manual is also in there. I heated it in the oven and the microwave. Coming out of the oven, it wasn’t extremely hot, but the warmth lasted about 20 minutes or so. It was an excellent relaxer. After using it in the microwave, holy moly! It gets very hot, and it is amazing. It lasted almost an hour. I had to use an oven mit, so be careful taking it out as the manual does not inform you of this.
Being a mud pack, it is very moldable wherever you decide to put it. You can even use it as a cold pack. I use it underneath my calves after running once I get cramps. I also use it on my lower back. The waist band helps it to stay. If you walk around with it on, you’ll need to strap it pretty tight as it will move around. Let me tell you a wonderful place to put it that you probably wouldn’t think of...set your feet on it once heated. It completely relaxes my feet. So amazing. After work, I heat up the pad and set it under my feet for a while. Overall, this is an excellent buy! It did not disappoint!
Have been using this for 3 weeks and it is a very good product and I am happy with my purchase and it is much better than all the other heating pad options out there and I have used them all. I have Chronic back pain and use heat only and I am sure the cold will work just as well.
I am ok with the price but i would recommend cutting back on the xtra expense on packaging and make the sleeve that holds the pad more durable, hold heat longer or supplement the heat, stronger Velcro closures. The cover sleeve is going to wear out quick and so will the Velcro, as I use this 2-3 times a day before, during, and after work. I have tried my best to adjust the microwave time to get the heating pad to maintain its heat for 20 minutes which is the standard heating time and the best I can get is 15 minutes max before I reheat it. Anything else is too hot or not hot long enough. I heat it for 2 min 15 seconds to get 15 min of comfortable heat in a 1,000 watt microwave. I also thought the product was bigger or longer but maybe I did not pay attention to description rather than picture. It is about 15 inches long of usable space. 17 “ total length.
Hubby and I have gone through several iterations of heating pads. Some electric so they tether us essentially to one place and some filled with granules of some sort etc. Our two most recent grain-filled heating pads were otherwise fine but ended up with holes, sprinkling the contents around the house. Time to try something different.
MOQY isn't the cheapest cordless pad. I chose it because should work equally well either heated or chilled (I'm yet to test the cooling effect). It is also rather thin; the granule filled ones tend to be thick(er) and sometimes lumpy and the contents shift easily unless they have smaller sewn compartments.
This pad is somewhat stiff until it is warmed up and it heats evenly without hot spots. Once warm it feels like I'm handling dough. The first time heating I could smell a faintly plasticky odor (not exactly surprising considering the material) but that wasn't strong or bothersome. I have been heating it for 1 min on either side and then adding 15 sec on either side; that has made it nicely warm & it stays warm for a long time. The pad slips into a cotton pocket that has an elastic strap with good Velcro so you can attach this around your back or stomach and parade around the house without losing the heating pad. Since it is so thin, it creates very little bulk under clothing. Because of its shape one can arrange it along an arm or leg (so it has more use than just for back or stomach) but then you would need another strap to keep it in place.
I hope our cats won't take a liking to the heating pad and puncture holes in the plastic cover because I would like to keep this a long time.
Update: We have now used this pad daily for about 4 weeks. My husband is of the opinion that this is the BEST heating pad that we have ever had. I must also add that the seller is very responsive to any questions one might have.

After taking a few moments to marvel over the luxurious packaging, I inserted the actual heating pad in the soft cotton wrap provided and popped it in the microwave. I heated it for a little less than the time recommended, because my microwave is a higher wattage. Right away, I noticed that it wasn't too hot on the outside, but as I held it, I noticed the warmth was delivered more gradually. It was really a lovely experience to hold it. I wrapped the pad around my low back and let it do its magic. The gradual yet steady warmth it delivered was such a treat for my low back pain.
The whole experience of ordering and receiving the Moor heating pad was delightful and high quality. Everything, from the packaging to the instructions and inserts (loved the note from the creators!) to the ordering experience itself was top notch. The carton was quite sturdy and well made, and each item inside was wrapped individually as well as being cushioned with egg crate foam. I've been finding this heating pad really useful. The packaging it arrived in was really nice, and it arrived in 2 days. You can heat it up in the microwave or in the oven - I just put it in the microwave for 3 minutes and it stays warm for hours. It's been really good for my lower back pain, especially because I can strap it around myself and walk around with it on. When you heat it up, the pad smells great as well, which was a nice surprise. Compared to other heating pads, this one stays warm for a longer period of time and seems to be made of better material. Additionally, because the pad itself is pretty flat, you can sit comfortably in a chair with the pad behind you on any part of your back and it doesn’t get in the way. I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for something to relieve aches or muscle soreness.
I ordered this product because I'm tired of forgetting to turn off or unplug my electric heating pad, but I've found this to be an awesome alternative to that. From the minute I opened the box, I was impressed. It was shipped in a sturdy, well-protected box and even had a cute insert saying hi and thank you for ordering the product. The best part was the cute story about fairies and elves making the product. The manual is easy to read and the instructions are clear. Using the product is super easy; it can be warmed in a microwave (or oven) in intervals or it can be cooled in the fridge/freezer for a short period of time to offer both hot and cold temperatures. The best part is that after warming it, it stayed warm for almost an hour, and because of the material it's made of, it conforms to the contours of my body, so it's able to really press right against the sore spots. Overall, this is a great item. As a side note - I accidentally left it in the freezer for too long but it still works after it thawed back out. I'll be super careful not to do this in the future, but it's good to know it's durable.
I expected to receive what we all think of when we hear the words, "Heating pad." You know, the uncomfortable piece of cushion that either gets way too hot or isn't hot enough and usually belongs to our grandparents. However, this heating pad was definitely different and felt safer to use than the others I've experienced. I love that I don't have to plug it in and that I don't have to use it for only heat. So far, I've been using it as a cold source for my headaches and I start to feel the relief almost instantly. I've heated it up in my microwave to help with my cramping and lower back pain. There isn't anything that I don't like about it. I think it's a great and innovative way to bring heating pads back to life, and I love seeing how technology has advanced. I highly recommend this!
I have suffered from difficult, painful periods for almost 20 years. I have tried dozens of remedies to ease the pain – patches, creams, pills, salves, rice pads, stone pads, - the list goes on forever.
