EZ-ACCESS EZ-SHOWER Bedside Shower, 2.5

EZ-ACCESS EZ-SHOWER Bedside Shower, 2.5 Gallons

EZ-ACCESS EZ-SHOWER Bedside Shower, 2.5 Gallons

This was a very effective product for washing my mother-in-law's hair. Not having a hook to suspend it from, I used removable Velcro strips to attach it to the wall. On completion I removed the bag, drained any residual water, put a long wooden spoon in the inlet plug to dry it out and hung it behind the door in the bathroom until next time. This along with the inflatable basin made hair washing in bed a dream. The only problem I had on first receiving the item was that the inlet plug was terribly tight but once released I didn't bother closing it again.

This is a clever idea. Very nice concept in that all the pieces are there to shower someone that is immobile. it simply can be rolled right underneath the person and fits in a twin size bed quite nicely. The User will get a shower-like experience with a better than average shower hose to work with.
Inflation is quick and simple due to its handy 2.5 gallon wet dry vac
The reason i didn't give this review 5 stars is because set up is can be time consuming. ideally, you would have a water faucet within 20 feet of your bedroom but if you don't that could be a problem and expect to empty the wet dry vac 2-3 times during use.
Ultimately, it is better than a bed bath and its ability to fit right on top of your bed make it worth the the price.
May not work well for people that are overweight because of the width of the basin.

This bag holds 2 gallons (20 pounds) of water to wash and rinse my thick long hair, to my satisfaction. We also purchased an IV stand to hold the bag up into the air to increase water flow pressure. This has been a great discovery as my disability has kept me confined to bed 24/7 and I love clean hair!

Almost perfect. The capacity and functionality are excellent. It can easily be filled from an ordinary bathroom sink. The shower valve is a bit tricky and requires one to make sure the catch is at the last position when not in use. Failure to do this produces a leak that can go unnoticed for a bit of time.

It worked better than I expected, though it would have helped to have more complete instructions. My husband used an electric pump to inflate the basin, but it took a while for us to figure out there's a nozzle made especially for mattresses. We had the wrong nozzle on the pump and it didn't work. Once we switched nozzles it went well, but you DO need a pump. The basin did just what it was supposed to do. My mother, whose hair I was washing, was so comfortable she fell asleep part way through. I laid a shower curtain under the basin just in case, but nothing leaked. It took a lot of water to lather twice and then use conditioner, which meant three trips back and forth to the bathroom with a pitcher and a gallon jug to replenish my supply of fresh water and empty the bucket of used water. It would have worked better with a streamlined washing method that used less water or with some means of holding more water near the bed. I poured water over my mother's hed from a plastic pitcher, but there wasn't enough room inside the basin to maneuver such a large container. One of those bags that hold water and dispense it through a hose might be a good investment if you have something to suspend it from. I think it would be easier to maneuver the nozzle of the hose than clumsily angle a pitcher.

I ordered this product for my Mom for Christmas. She is a bed-confined patient and her home health aide already had the inflatable apparatus used to shampoo Mom's hair. I thought this might make it easier for Mom and the aide to get her hair washed. But, of course, it all depended on whether it was beneficial to the aide as to whether the product would actually be used. I did not have to wait long after Christmas to find out that my Mom's aide LOVED this and so did Mom! In fact, the aide asked me to purchase her one so she could use it with her other patients. I did some research and found Amazon had the best price so I ordered it for the aide. Now she says her company wants the ordering information so they can purchase this product for their other aides on staff. So I would say it is definitely a hit. And, Mom loves the clean feeling it leaves her with. If you're looking for a product to help in a situation like mine, this would be a good purchase for you.

Worked very well. I put a small piece of plastic under the basin and a bath towel, plus a hand towel under the neck. Very little water on bath towel. As with all products of this type, the kinked drain hose could have been a problem. By reading reviews beforehand I was prepared. By raising the bed to its highest level and having a tall bucket to catch the water, the kinks weren't a problem. (Hint: 2 liter soda bottles work great for washing & rinsing.) The only drawback on this item is that the flap on the drain plug should be reversed. In the position its in, it automatically closes so you have to hold it up for the water to drain. If flap were on opposite side, it would stay open.

My mom has MS and had a leg amputated so she is confined to a wheelchair. I haven’t had time to redo the bathroom in her room yet to make it accessible for her. This tub works good and is very heavy duty vinyl. The reason for 4 stars is the drain on it is hard to get hose attached to and it leaks. If I tighten it down hard it just pops loose again. I did put plumbers putty around it and that worked.

My Mother is 85 years old and paralyzed on one side. I used to be able to get her in the shower, but she has gotten so weak I no longer can. For the last year I have given her bed baths with a bucket of hot water and a wash rag. I thought about this purchase for a while because of the price, but broke down a bought it. I used it for the first time yesterday, it was awesome. It filled with air quickly, the drain system worked great, and the vacuum dried out the bath perfectly. It was easy to place the bath on the bed with her in it. Just rolled her on one side, and pushed the bath under her, then rolled her back and pulled the bath out. After I vacuumed the water out, did the same in reverse to remove it.

The best part was the look on my Mom's face, delighted to have water showering over her and soaking in it for the first time in a very long time. It made her so happy she was like a different woman. It gave her back some dignity that she has seen disappear the weaker and more depended she gets. I would recommend this to anyone who has a loved one they care for. I know the price is pretty steep, but the bath is really worth it's weight in gold.

Love this and the pole and the pillow sink for helping anyone to get their hair washed. I am a hairdresser so I go to homes where people can not get out and am able to do it with ease. Good for the family to have this also.
