I'm a soccer player, naturally my feet receive a lot of abuse. My plantar fasciitis progressed quickly over a couple of months, especially on my right foot. It got to the point where I could barely walk let alone jog or run. I had tried another pair of sleeves but those were too tight. Doc suggested ibuprofen and that helped but I'd rather not stuff myself with pills over long periods of time. I came across these and decided to give them a try.
The day these sleeves arrived I had to skip practice because I was limping all over campus and the pain was unbearable. As soon as I got home I put these on an after a couple of hours (I was still walking around doing stuff) the pain had subsided. I took them off to sleep as suggested by my doc. Woke up next morning and put them on again, hey I could walk fine and no pain! I decided to take another day off practice and rest.
Third day of wearing them and I was in back in practice running and doing drills as usual. There's a limp every now and then and pain shoots for about a second before it goes away. So I'm pretty satisfied with these sleeves.
I can't tell how good they are in the long run but at least they provide fast pain relief. And if you're not willing to spend a bunch of cash on physicians and stuff yourself with ibuprofen then these are a good choice.
UPDATE!
About a month later and I'm still using these sleeves. They work like a charm, no pain. However, they are starting to show some signs of wear especially the front part under the foot, got some threads coming loose. I'm not sure how long they will last me, keep in mind I am using them almost on a daily basis and while training and playing soccer.
Finally getting some relief!! I am a Physical Therapist Assistant, so I had already tried exercises, orthotics, stretching, icing and even got a cortisone shot to my heel in order to relieve the day to day extreme pain in my right plantar fascia and heel. I ordered some expensive shoes promising to be the fix to my pain $120 which didn't work (I sent them back), So I was very skeptic to try these compressive socks, but the price was great and the pain was real!. I choose to put these on after work since my arch would cramp up and my heel would hurt more soon after removing my tennis shoes with plantar arch support.. I have only had these sock for 2 weeks, but have seen improvement already. I am using just on my right foot. I wear 9.5 size shoe women's, so bought the small/medium. Some reviewers complain of them being too small/tight, but all compression socks are supposed to be tight in order to do their job, so the struggle to pull on/off is real :) but once in place, they are very comfortable and truly are helping! I also have neuropathy in my feet, so my toes are happy with the open toe design. So far these socks are amazing! I plan to hand wash and drip dry in order to keep them lasting long!
First let me start out by saying that I wear a size 9 shoe and my feet are neither wide nor too narrow. I bought the small medium size and although it could be a little tighter, it is very comfortable and almost feels like you're wearing nothing at all. It's more on the thicker side but very soft. I wear it with another product called Heel That Pain to provide cushion and height to my heel and it works perfectly. I added a picture of the other sleeves that I purchased by Physix Gear Sport for comparison. The pink ones are much firmer which I prefer but both are good picks.
Quite comfortable. I didn't use these while running around, but instead put them on at night before I went to bed. I normally don't wear socks to bed due to overheating... that didn't happen with these. They did leave marks on my legs and feet when I took them off, but I wore them all night and into late morning. I will have to get slightly larger shoes before I can wear them with shoes and walk any particular length. The product says that the heel has extra padding... I did not notice any extra padding. My plantar faciitis wasn't noticeably better with these, but I did like the compression feel.
Headline note: In the pictures of the women's socks it implies that I will have the urge to prance around the house in my underwear and socks... Putting these compression socks on did not give me that urge. :)
I bought this for a mysterious pain that had started in my foot, not plantar fasciitis or heel spur but most likely arthritis since I have it in my hands and the pain feels very similar to that. My foot is very stiff in the mornings, or really any time I get up after sitting or lying still for a while. I thought that a compression sock or wrap might help and decided to give it a try. Found this one among the HUNDREDS on Amazon and chose it really because I liked the way it looked (Amazon has so many that are so similar, you have to narrow it down some way . . .) I was looking for something thin and lightweight but with enough compression to actually do some good. I tried it on as soon as I received it, and my foot immediately felt more stable and comfortable. So much so that I went ahead and put the other one on my other foot and wore them with my walking shoes for the rest of the day. I was really surprised at how much they helped, had originally planned to wear them at night while sleeping to see if it made getting up in the morning any easier, and I did do that, but I'll be wearing them in the daytime too. They are thin and lightweight, not bulky at all, and have so far really seemed to help a lot. I'll probably be ordering more in different colors.

I did not buy these compression socks for myself. I bought them for a co worker who was suffering daily in the general area of the side of her foot. She could only walk short distances before shooting pain began. She would have to ice her foot throughout the day. I suggested an ace bandage of sorts to help give her support as it will be weeks before her doctor can see her. I started with ace bandage socks & kept scrolling until I found these foot sleeves. I read the reviews & it seemed like a perfect match. She put them on immediately. By end of day, she was still walking, had not had to ice her foot & the shooting pain had decreases to a dull ache. They may not solve your problem, but they certainly may help.
These compression socks really do all they advertise. When I received them, my 1st initial thought went back to the reviews stating they were not true to size. They look so tiny. I wear a 10 shoe and ordered the large. However, they do stretch to fit. These are the 3rd pair of compression socks for me, and they are the best. I have tendontis in my right foot and my left foot swells frequently. I began by using just the left one because of the pain I was experiencing from the tendonitis. I sleep in them and when I am home, I wear them as well. I love the footless ones because I can wear my flip flops and sandals with them. I can say my feet feel so much better with them on. It almost feels like my feet are being supported. By the way, I love the purple color as well.
I have now purchased 2 pairs of these compression sleeves and love them. I had ankle replacement surgery in late June and began using the sleeve to provide comfort and swelling control when I began weight bearing again late August. They provide just the right amount of support, are light weight, and are not irritating to the skin like heavier elastic sleeves. I wash them along with other 'delicates' and air dry them. I found the size chart to be accurate. The purple color is somewhat more 'sedate' than pictured - attractive and not flashy. The black is also more subdued than it appears. So glad I chose these and recommend them for their comfort and effectiveness.
I didn't expect much other than the ability to wear my flip flops with socks and that's about it. I was happily surprised when I put these on. I am a 7½ - 8½ women's (US) shoe size with a wide width (I have what I call duck feet - narrow at the heel, wide at the toes). The small / medium fits snuggly while being comfortable. I stand heavily on my heels, which I noticed when I used an anti-fatigue mat. My heels hit the floor while my husband said the mat bore his weight nicely (he's 60 lbs heavier than me).
Flash forward 30-some years and I'm saddled with arthritis and my heels are beginning to feel über tight in the morning to the point that I waddle the first five or so steps until the heels loosen up. I figured I'd give these socks a whirl during a lightning deal offer and I'm glad I did. This is the first day I've had them and I put them on immediately (of course). I've been on my feet most of the day and I have to say I am feeling pretty darn good. I have a rising desk and I normally stand 85% of the day. My back and neck thank me for it, my feet curse me. Today everyone was quiet and I stood 100% of the day (I'm still standing as I type this, in fact). I really really Really didn't think these socks were going to work as well as they did.
Another note - I normally get edema (swelling) of the feet at night, but tonight it's been kept at bay. I've been wearing the socks for 7 hours, including the 2 hours I removed them (9 hours otherwise). I'm strongly considering ordering 2 more pairs so I can rotate them on wash days; however, I want to give it a few more days to ensure this wasn't a beginner's luck or mind over matter deal.
They do feel a wee tight towards the toes and I attribute that to my wide foot. The rest of my foot feels great.
Let me also say this - I do Not give 5 stars easily. My good rating is a 3 and my great is a 4. Excellent is a 5. 3 stars means a product does exactly what it's intended to do, nothing more, nothing less, and so a 3 is still a good rating. A product has to not only do what it's supposed to, it has to go above and beyond expectation to garner 5 stars. This product does that. I can't stress strongly enough that I expected these to be a toeless sock and nothing more. Being pain-free for the remainder of the day warranted the 5 star rating. If anything changes in the days to come I'll adjust and comment, but as of right now I'm amazed that I'm feeling so good. I did Not receive this item for free, nor did I receive it in exchange for a review, and though I did snag it through a lightning deal I paid for it with real money that I spent real hours working for. This is a review for the pink socks.
Update 20181120: I bumped it down a star because the cuff started unraveling. I did purchase two more pairs so I'll be able to rule out whether it was a defective pair. Fortunately it was only one strand and other stitches are holding the cuff in place. I machine washed on gentle and air dried, in case folks are wondering.
