This is the best ice pack for an ankle ever. Post major ankle surgery and have decent wraps. Wanted something better that would also work well at work.
This unit does not disappoint. Well constructed, quality material and customizable fit. Floored at how good this therapy wrap is. Well worth the price!!!
Worth the money. The cold compresses more evenly. The blue arrow is pointing to the part of the pack that folds over the top of the foot. I fold it different ways to pinpoint the compression spots on my foot. The Compaq can turn inside out to get both sides of both feet in various spots. (Velcro is only on one side, but doesn't really matter) I also use different packs on trouble spots to pinpoint. I recommend getting the clay hot/cold thermipaq (separately)They can be used in the boot for hot (and cold) compression. Don't put in too hot, I don't know if too much heat would compromise the rubber/plastic parts. This product isn't advertised for hot. This would also be great for lower ankle spains.
I fell a few years ago and had several ankle fractures and shredded ligaments. Long story short, I still have to do therapy and have tendonitis and arthritis now. I use this boot every night and it's saving me from taking pain medication. Money very well spent. I'm finding real relief and mobility with this product.
The product was great. I had a problem, my dog ate the squeeze ball for the compression.
I called the company to see if I could purchase another squeeze ball. The company was fabulous. The owner has a dog who ate the cord on her electric Afghan so she was very compassionate and sent it out no charge!!!
Imagine in this day and age a company who has a sensibility to relate to a human experience. Hats off to them.
If for some reason I ever need another pack, I certainly will look no further!!!

Problem for me because I have small size 7 women's feet..meaning it fits too big on me...but
I was able to use it a few times on my hurt ankle anyway. I ended up just using the pressure feature
and not the cold pack, which I only used a couple of times before finding out that you shouldn't use
ice packs for too long on an ankle injury. But I have it if I ever need it again.
It is made very well, so it is durable and good to have on hand, even if it is too big for my foot!
Tip: check out youtube, as a lot of people are now advising to only use cold packs in the very
beginning of an ankle injury and not for days and days like I did! LOL
which means it takes longer to heal if you do. Thus they are right and it is taking over 2 months
for this to heal...still not totally healed. Wish I would have seen those videos before using all the
cold packs for way too long, apparently! Live and learn.

I don't know why I hadn't thought that there was such a product out there before now. I was super excited when I came across this. My ankles swell a lot from previous injuries. And my job requires me to stand for hours at a time. When I get home and use the compression therapy boot is exactly what I need. It takes all the swelling away in a short period of time. It is extremely cold. I recommend wearing a sock so the fell pack isn't touching your skin. It has been heaven sent. I'm thankful to have some pain free relief!
This really works well. I suffered a Pilon fracture of both my tibia and fibula. I use this 2- 3 times a day usually after PT. It does get colder and stays cold longer than my other cold compresses. The Compression from the hand pump really gets that soothing cooling deep into my ankle joint to numb out the pain from PT and reduce swelling. In future versions I would like to see a second gel back for the top of the ankle but I just use another compress.
This is a Family run company. They contacted me personally to see how I was doing with the wrap. It's awesome. Great coverage, stays cold for a long time. Very easy to use and the compression is very comforting. I was in a motorcycle accident 6 months ago and I couldn't be happier with this tool for cold therapy. I tried it on my 8yr old son and it even fit him. The workmanship is excellent. It seems very durable. I would highly recommend anything The Pain Soother makes and I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.
I am very happy with this product. I sprained my foot and had major pain on the top of my foot. I really needed some ice compression on that particular area which many foot/ankle wraps do not give you. The wrap went on very easily and I was able to pump up the compression so that light pressure could be felt on the area I needed it the most. To top it all off, it stayed very cold for over two hours so I was able to rest and elevate my foot as my doctor suggested. I highly recommend this product and am so happy with my purchase. Love it! It's really helped with my ankle and foot problems. The ice pad gives surprisingly good coverage (just on the bottom of the foot, which would be pretty nice). The perpendicular shape of the wrap helped a bit for my condition, but this isn't like a hard cast... this is softer material. As a result, you can actually flex your foot down. Again, this is good for some... but didn't help much for my injury. Still I'd buy this again. It provides valuable compression and ice therapy, and the fact you can use it on either foot-- if frankly quite handy.
