The little AB WHEEL is deceptively simple and sturdy. It looks like a kid's toy, but with proper daily use, it will give you a serious workout. It will strengthen not only your core (abs & lower back) but your arms, shoulders, legs, and entire body as well. In addition, it will give you an aerobic workout, because your heart and lungs will want to join in the fun!
Begin from a kneeling position. Start out SLOWLY...and just as in progressive weight training, it's important to breathe IN when extending outward, and breathe OUT when returning. (Reason: You want your lungs to be already filled with oxygen BEFORE you exert yourself on the return trip or flexion). And most important,,, remember the athlete's golden rule,,, "TRAIN,,,DON'T STRAIN".

I received this ab wheel maybe 5 days ago and have done it in the morning and before bed and let me tell you, I am not one to leave reviews, but I have already noticed significant change in my stomach. the sides are tighter, my stomach no longer dramatically changes if I eat or drink, and i've already seen tremendous definition. And by no means am I super athletic, my normal routine was cycling 3-4 times a week at home and then a series of crunches.
Also note, if you are short/don't have long arms or a lot of upper body muscle (I am all 3 of those) it took me a while to figure out its best for me to start in the "down" position bc I can't support myself up that much
I ordered this ab wheel to add to my daily rotation of exercises. I have been using this product twice a day for the last 4 months.
Pros:
-Durability, even after extensive use, there is no structural or aesthetic damage to the ab wheel
-Function, it was easy to assemble and rolls smoothly day in and day out
Cons:
-Comfort, after using the product for a week, my hands developed small blisters that I am guessing are from the hand grips. They are plastic and can cause discomfort with extended use. I simply wrapped the hand grips in some tape and have not had any issues since.
Overall:
I am extremely pleased with this product, especially given the relatively low price point. It has lasted daily use for 4 months with no signs of breaking anytime soon. I could not have been happier with this purchase.
My first ab wheel was the Valeo Ab Roller Wheel (see pic). Was new to these rollers and just plucked the least expensive one I saw on Amazon. They pretty much all look the same with just a few minor tweaks -- often times usually just cosmetic. And all of them achieve the same purpose when you use them consistently -- to strengthen your core and tighten your abs.
So this leads to the basic question: Why then bother getting a new one -- if this one worked?
Well, it was two problems I had with it based off of it's construct (this time it's not cosmetic). The first had to do with the handles. I don't consider myself as someone with extra large hands. Yet the handles lacked extra "breathing room" space at the ends for you to make adjustments. And the second thing had to do with stability of the wheel. At 2 inches wide the wheel lacked the comfort you might want from say a wider option.
So, in comes the ab roller wheel by Wonder Maxi. It checked the boxes in these two categories. Handles were an extra inch longer than my previous roller. The width of the wheel was a full inch wider than my old ab wheel (again see pics) providing amazing stability when rolling back and forth.
The handles (like in almost all ab wheel rollers) is made from hard plastic. I have a preference for padding the bhandles up with layer of foam to give a softer feel. I intend on getting that like I did for my old ab wheel roller. Though I wish the manufacturers would consider adding this feature.
Anyway, I still would recommend this if the issues I pointed out are no dealbreakers for you.
I've had this thing for over 4 years now, and it's still going strong. It's sturdy, balances well, rolls easily, and is virtually silent on a carpeted floor. After using this for a while, someone gave me a "Deluxe Ab Roller" from a different manufacturer that costs a lot more than this one. I tried it once and never used it again -- It didn't roll easily, which I suppose could be a "design feature", but the biggest negative was that it made annoying noises when rolling. I went back to this simple device. If it ever breaks, I'll buy another one.

Two non-skid wheels for added stability. Strengthen and tone abs, shoulder, arms and back. Assembly instructions included.
Still have my 6 pack at 34 years old. Only ab workout I do and will do until I can't walk anymore.
This thing is 100X better than the BS "planking routines" and "ball sit ups" any trainer will show you. Also works your shoulders, lats and really builds core strength.
I am roughly 260 lbs and 5'10" and it can hold me while i roll it out, I can reach pretty far because i have a pretty good base for my abs for my big size. I was honestly scared the bard would be cheap metal, that would bend like melted butter, but it holds really well. I seen some reviews claiming it hurt their hand. Honestly if you have never used a barbell, or worked with your hands, i could under stand because you do need some thick skin when you use these. If you have delicate hands you will get callus. But if you grip it where you are suppose to, and dont over do it on your hands, you are golden.
My husband and I have been using the AB wheel for the past two weeks and we have both have definitely felt it in our lower and upper abs. I started only able to do 3-5 and after two weeks I am now able to do 10-12. I have felt sore for days which is what I wanted. The wheel rolls smoothly with your movement and the grip of the handles is pretty good. It wasn't expensive and I had been wanting one for a while so I am very please with my purchase and hope it latest a while before we need to replace it. Thanks Valeo!
I work in front of the computer at home and have been using weights and other equipment around the house when I can't get to the gym. I purchased this about a year ago, I use it about once or twice a week and it's held up really well. One Note, I went to Youtube and searched some Ab Wheel exercises to make sure I was using it properly and not hurting myself. The pictures in the user manual were confusing.
Its a pretty good tool that helps break up the monotony of sit ups.
This little wheel is awesome! From someone who does loads of core strengthening exercises through reformer Pilates this wheel is on point! I haven’t been able to achieve sore abdominal muscles from my Pilates workouts in a couple months now and with this little guy I was able to make that happen. I did 5 sets of 10 (not going quite all the way down as this is hard!) and let me tell you I feel amazing and woke up with the same kind of abdominal cuts today that a good Pilates workout will leave me with. So excited to do this again and again and again!
