So this mask is super awesome! it blocks 100% light and has held itself up to a spin cycle. The velcro isnt ever coming apart its some super strong stuff. Light coming through the window I cant see with it on mid day, and thats about when I normally get a bunch of my sleep. So it lives up to just about everything I could ask for it.
I only docked a star because when reading reviews for this mask I was informed it came with other things, Like a little pouch for how to take care of the mask and everything and how to clean it, and I only got what appeared to be the same advertising creds as whats on the sheet.. I'm not sure If I can just throw it in the washer or anything like that or what really needs done, and that is 100% my ignorance, but it just appears like I'm missing something that another review/comment on this mask mentioned they had gotten.
Well worth the money, the only way it could be better is had it included that, and if the foam around the nose was just a little deeper as it does require a little extra adjustment to get it right, at least a little more than youd probably expect, but doing it just like I (again online read from the manufacturer) follow the instructions of pressing the mask down and wiggling it up towards the top of your head, and down towards the bottom gently, which seals all the gaps. Pretty good stuff.
Update: Prompt response from the company I couldn't quickly respond to changes this to a five star review.
I will note that I have begun to blackout my room at night, though this sleep mask would still be what your looking for if you are unable to do that. All this time later and it still 100% blocks the light in the room. I just have found that also after all this time the actual strap has become loose with no ability to properly adjust it further, so while it blocks 100% of the light still, it also flies off now during my spin cycle at night.
Now you might think that would dock a star but, I don't properly take care of this thing for one which likely contributes to its ability to hold tight to my head. Also, this is still the best out of the 10 or so masks I've properly tried over the years to achieve this effect, many deform, or loose their ability to block light by this point, which this one positively has failed to do. it blocks 100% of light, and I think that's the goal. I just don't think we have a good enough strap design on any sleep mask so far to effectively hold one to my head all night forever, and I cant think of a good way to fix that problem.
Updated a Year Later: Still love this mask. It's the best of all that I have tried. Just lost first one and buying two more to make sure I have one on hand at home and on the road.
Pros: Big fan of this mask. I have tried several/many and this is by far the best light blocking option. I have used it for several months. It is soft enough to conform to the pillow (I am a side sleeper) but not so soft that it gaps. The extra padding below the eyes does a terrific job keeping light from creeping in alongside the nose. Strap is as comfortable as any. All in all, a strong aid to better sleep.
Cons: Really only one. It can be a bit warm. It is a very well constructed model and the extra padding seems to bring some additional insulation. I consider this a minor issue, hence the four stars.
I am a road warrior who has recently been introduced to a sleep training program at work. We have been getting coaching on the benefits of more sleep and how to maximize sleep quality at home and in hotels. After running around with duct tape in the hotel rooms covering over every LED, unplugging unwanted alarm clocks, and trying in vain to get the curtains to seal out the light, I finally caved and tried a sleeping mask. Hey, no one can see me so who really cares. Well, what a game changer. I wore out my first mask, an old handout from a long ago British Airways flight., in a few weeks. I tried three other version before finding this mask. It is the best I have tried, by far. No more running around the hotel room. Slip this baby on and off I go to the land of nod. Just make sure to set your alarm!
I have several masks of this general type and this is definitely the best one. I'm here to order an extra. Its special design includes a padded layer at the bottom which blocks significantly more light than other masks. I would say by default you get 99.9% light blocking, and with some adjustment you can often get to 100%. One trick I learned for that is to push the mask higher on your face, not lower as you might do by instinct. I have been able to get 100% blocking in a fully lit room that way. I use this for prayer and meditation so that extra bit does help. Of course in a mostly dark room, it's very easy to get the full blackout.
The velcro is tight, so I feel like I'm wearing something much stronger with this mask, and that takes some getting used to, and you'll need to have some level of tension to get that 100% but I have found I get used to it and that feeling actually helps me sleep. I have been able to sleep on planes with this on, which is usually very difficult for me. I have not yet found a better mask so I recommend you get this one!
The Sleep mask by G7 is far more comfortable than the inexpensive ones I have purchased. My husband sometimes needs to sleep shift because of his work schedule, so this means he is sleeping during the daylight hours. Our bedroom gets lots of natural light, so a sleep mask is a must for my light sleeper. I have bought him several masks but none of them have been very comfortable and he has often opted to sleep with a tshirt wrapped around his face because he found that more comfortable. This sleep mask is so soft though, that he sleeps in it with no problems. I highly recommend it to anyone that is light sensitive - it molds nicely to your face without making you feel smothered.

The loose material around the nose is what makes this mask superior to most other masks. This helps block light if the fit isn't exact. That said, I think that they could make that materiel even better at blocking light (more fluffy perhaps.)
The mask is reasonably comfortable and does the job better than I expect most masks will.
It seems well made, although I will hand wash cold and air dry.
At some point the number of masks included was reduced from two to one. The title on the page has been corrected at some point to make this more clear (I believe after my purchase but I am not sure.) This did not effect my rating although I was expecting two based on reviews that I read..
Reduced one star as this mask is a bit more expensive, at time of my purchase, than most other masks and it could be improved just a bit.

Best sleep mask. I really thought they were all the same and was looking for the cheapest one. By I saw this one and wanted to try it. So glad I did. I like the material better than the old satin one I had. It is more breathable. It also has more room for the bridge of your nose and pads to keep it from being directly pushed onto your eyes. I barely feel it on but it blocks the lights of the clock which I can be sensitive to. I highly recommend this mask
This is the best sleeping mask that I've ever had!! I've been using sleeping makes for the last three years, my husband needs the TV on to sleep and I have to have it completely dark, so I have to sleep with a mask on. I've tried several different types of maskes and this one is by far the best one I've ever used. It is very comfortable and it COMPLETELY blocks out all light while staying on all night. I use this sleeping mask every evening. I did a lot of research on sleeping masks before I bought this one because if I'm going to spend 7+ hours every night with it on, it better be super nice!
I'm so glad I tried this one!!! It's like a pillow for my eyes!!! I put eyelash serum before bed and there is a little bit of space between my eyes and the material so my eyelash serum stays in place all night! I've used mine everyday for more than a year and it has held up so well! The elastic band is starting to get a bit stretched out but I just made it tighter and it still works perfectly. I just throw it in the washer one every two weeks so it's also super low maintenance. I can't recommend these enough to anyone who needs an eyemask!
This is probably the best sleep mask that I have used, and I have tried many. Well made and very effective keeping out light even around my nose which has always been the first place that I have some light leak on others that I have purchased. As some others mentioned it is a little stiff but not so much to have any effect on the performance. The only thing that kept me from giving this mask a 5-star rating was the black marks that it left on my pillow when I first used it. I had not washed it before using it even though others have recommended that to soften the mask, but as I did not think the mask was that stiff. So I put it through a wash cycle in my washing machine and it still left black marks on the pillow. I had to wash it 4 times to get it to stop. Whatever dye they are using for the material around the edges is poor quality and needs to be changed to one that will not bleed off on a pillowcase. Once this is solved this would be the perfect mask.

I get good sleep because not only does it fit well to my face the thickness totally blocks all light. I love your follow up and feel sure if I wasn't pleased you would take care of me.
