While this isn't appropriate for bug-out gear, as a small first aid kit to carry along while chaperoning a school field trip or a youth group mission trip it's perfect-- you can carry an elastic wrap or two for sprains, a variety of Bandaids for little cuts and blisters, plus some butterflies, 4x4s and tape for minor lacerations, scissors and alcohol wipes, tubes of antibiotic cream and calamine for bug bites, and even a CPR mask, all without destroying the zippers or seams. I know-- I worked security at a big local parade earlier this year, and that's what I used it for. If I were going to put it to more frequent use, I would carry less (or get a better quality bag for more money), but at this price and for this purpose it was perfect.
Okay, so it's not really perfect. As I've already said, this isn't a heavy canvas bag with a strong waist belt and secure buckles-- it's a light-weight bag with a not particularly strong belt and cheap-o buckles... but it works. I no longer have any need for a good bag-- I haven't been a medic in decades. Also, for all that this is advertised as a "First Aid Fanny Pack", instead of saying "First Aid" it says "Guard" (for, I suppose, "Lifeguard", although any first aid supplies a lifeguard carried in it were going to be destroyed the first time he or she jumped into the water. But then, you aren't going to get a perfect, or even a really good, bag at this price point.
Given that you get what you pay for, this Primacare fanny pack isn't bad at all.
Durable, perfect sized pack for my CPR mask, whistle, small first aid kit and phone. Belt fastens and keeps its waist adjustment.
I like my fanny pack especially for music fests and my all day outings. I must say I wish I would of thought more about buying this specific one. I was at a bike rally and some people spotted me out to help a man that had passed out. Um oops "False Advertising"
Great! I put my valuables in it when I go to the beach the bright red color I can see from far away
I used it for my Wendy Peffercorn costume for Halloween!
