I sleep during the day. This is the only product I've ever used. My first one lasted about 6 or 7 years. I really didn't think too much about it, it just worked. What made my think it is a superior product is that I had a girlfriend who had a sleep mask too, and she was always stealing mine and then I would have to sleep with hers on. Hers sucked. Light seeped through, it "annoyed" my eyes, and it stuck too far into my eye sockets. That's when I realized how much my L & C was a superior product. It's large and wide, so it doesn't touch your eyes, spreads its weight all around your face, covers and blocks out ALL light, and has little lips on the underside that don't annoy and keep out the light. The new one is constructed from different materials than my other one, but I think it's even better now. I highly recommend.
I am very picky about my eye masks. This is adjustable so it doesn't slip off as easily as other eye masks. It also has some pressure but doesn't dig your eyelashes into your eyes so you don't wake up with sore eyes in the morning.
I've been wearing eye masks for years because my husband likes to leave lights on at night. I've tried so many different styles that I can't even remember them all. I've been buying sleep masks from Amazon for years. I've typically purchased ones that came in multi packs. I thought I was getting a better value that way. But after my most recent purchase, I realized that the poor quality of those masks canceled any savings. I bought this Lewis N. Clark sleep mask after reading an article on Slate where the writer gushed about the quality of this mask along with the total black out effect when wearing. I've had this for almost 5 years. I got it when I lived in the college dorms. I now use it because I work nights and sleep during the day. The puffy bit across the bottom edge fills in around your nose without squishing it so you can't breathe, therefore blocking out all light. It doesn't fall off even when I roll around and tuck my head under pillows. If I put it on when I go to sleep I know I'll wake up wearing it. It's very soft. Very durable. I'm proud of my younger self for purchasing.
I think of myself as a connoisseur of eye masks. I can't sleep well if in a bright room, including alarm clock light. Sleep masks are basic items, right? Sure, you'll see the occasional company advertising their reinvention of the wheel in an infomercial from time to time, but the concept needs not be changed. I've used various sleep masks throughout my life, from airplanes and trains, to beds and hammocks. The most common problem is the light that intrudes by the bridge of the nose and quite a problem this can be! You'll slide the eye mask down a bit and MAYBE that'll help, but you're also creating a new problem if the position you have it no longer feels comfortable.

Back in 2013, I was traveling to a hotel since I needed a well-deserved vacation. At the time, Amazon offered free shipping for a combined total of $25 in items. I chose this item since, again, it would be a handy item to have while traveling around town and such and needed to sleep well.
Cut to 2016, and this item has served me well for sleeping to the point I bought another one for home use. I can safely say that this product has met my expectations and then some. This right here is the ideal item to have for those that need a good night's sleep.
