I had struggled with my Sunbeam heating pad for years.....the heating was fine, but the plastic heating part bunches up into an uncontrollable wad and the flimsy cover comes off easily. I finally decided life was too short and there had to be something better out there! This is it!! I was unsure if I would like the XXL size, but it is great! Just right! The construction is excellent quality, the fabric is very soft and I love that the whole thing can be detached from the electrical cord and washed if necessary....no annoying "cover" to remove. If I had any complaint, it would be that sometimes, even on the lowest setting, it feels a little too warm, but still I think it's the best heating pad out there....especially for the price.
First, I love the product. The size is perfect for placing behind back or across legs. The color is pretty and fabric is soft and comfortable. It heats up quickly with washes very nicely. I only gave it 2 stars though because it has a distinct odor during use. After heating up, it smells like heated plastic and dye. I have not had this long and do not see any defects. Although I’ve washed it twice, the smell after it warms up lingers. Unfortunately I will not use it because of the odor it creates.
EDIT: I'm changing my review and giving this 5 stars. When I described the odor issue, the manufacturer immediately contacted me and sent a new one free of charge. This one is perfect, no odor, and works great. I applaud Sunbag for taking this initiative and identifying a defect in my initial order. Love this product!!
I’m Actually using it right now lol. This helps me out ALOT I sleep with it on my lower back since it has a auto 2 hour timer shut off.

The fabric is plush and super soft. The heat is well distributed across the heating pad and I like how it's a moist heat that reaches deep within my muscles without burning my skin. The cord is long enough to reach my bed from the outlet across the room and the cable/remote feel very sturdy. I'm currently laying on top of this heating pad to help with a back injury and it's such a relief, especially since the XL size is large enough to cover my entire back. I love this heating pad!

I bought this because I was getting over the flu an dcouldn't get warm. I also have some joint pain and wanted to replace the last heating pad that died. This is huge, it covers more and the medium temp is more than warm enough. So far it has performed well with almost continuous use. The automatic timer works fine and the cover is wipeable and can be tossed into the washing machine for deeper cleaning.
The fabric is soft, velvety and comfy; I am enjoying that. The electric cord is long which makes it convenient to you. It heats quickly. The setting switch is easy to use. The automatic shutoff is handy and safe. The high temperature setting gets hot; I wish that the heat setting had, rather than buttons (low, medium, high), a sliding setting to be able to better control the intensity of the heat. Overall, I am happy with the purchase.
After the first product was defective, I received another one which works amazing. Product quality feels great and it heats up within minutes. Great Product!
I use it for helping with the muscle spasms in my back. The extra large size is bigger than I needed but, it covers my entire back and not just spots here and moved to a different spot. I tried my best to show in pictures.
Just got this item out the amazon box plugged it in and place on my lower back. Been having this spasm for 2 weeks now. I got immediate relief. The stiffness and pain reduced. I can sit up now.
