This thing is great picture is misleading shows fully inflated takes less than 1 breath to get just right should be floppy
use at home, in the car. at work, on a plane when I travel. Doubles as an inflatable pillow prop my legs up in bed
Plug is a little hard to work If you roll it up to push air to plug end goes in easier. leaks after about 6 months hard use
So simple it is ridiculous I have bought 3 in 5 years May not be for every one but works very well for me
Best back support pillow I've ever used. It's only minor flaw is that the valve tends to weaken over time and has to be inflated again. Lasts a long time. This pillow is designed to give you soft support so don't over-inflate. Added 9/7/16 I have been using these pillows for a number of years and have been very satisfied but the last 2 I have purchased (both from Amazon) just do not hold the air. A number of years ago, the manufacturer changed the design of the valve in an effort to improve the ability of the pillow to hold air but the valve does not work as well as the original one. I can no longer recommend this pillow to anyone. I have to re-inflate it almost every day. This review is no reflection on the seller. The the manufacturer is responsible.
I have a different application. I have a massage chair that has a head pillow that's too hard and gives me a headache. The foam inside the pillow is too stiff. Its exactly 15x18 with a full length zipper. I simply pull out the foam & stuff this air pillow inside. Give it 2 puffs & close the zipper. Absolutely perfect! Headaches are gone!
I was steered to this pillow by a friend in my yoga class. From the illustration, it looks like a fat air-filled pillow, and the high quality of the material (vinyl) is not evident, either. And, it is way too over-inflated as illustrated, making it appear to be a cheap blow-up. So, it hardly seems worth the price. But, when it arrived, and I inflated it with four breaths, it felt oh, so comfortable on the small of my back, though still floppy, but a little too firm. So, I deflated it and re-inflated it with three breaths, and it was perfect! When it is all floppy and hardly looks worthy of the job, it is at its very best, because the air pockets re-distribute themselves to conform to your body. That feature is the source of the soothing comfort that it provides, as opposed to pre-formed foam cushions. The small, foldable package is another great feature that enables me to pack it in a carry-on bag for travel. I have not tried to use the elastic straps yet, as I plan to move the pillow around with me, and so far, it has stayed in place without having to resort to using the straps.
I liked it so much, that I have ordered one to be shipped to my close friend of over 50 years who will be undergoing major surgery and will undoubtedly find it uncomfortable to sit up for a good while afterwards. I plan to order a few more to have around as gifts for other friends who have painful spinal issues.
My buying advice: this cleverly designed device Corflex Medic-Air Back Pillow with Open Valve System, 18" x 15" Blue is the best back pillow around, bar none. Amazon has several listings for this item at different prices, so check for the one you find most advantageous. I linked to the one that appeared to be the least expensive at the time that I wrote this review, and that was the source from which I ordered through Amazon.
I love this pillow so much that I just ordered another one for work. I might buy a 3rd for my car, and 4th for a gift! The picture is misleading as you only need to blow it up a little bit! It's supposed to just fill the small of your back as you lean back in your chair. A few breaths do it. To those who complain about not being able to return it after it's been inflated: This is not the seller's fault. They cannot resell it because your breath is considered a potential bio-hazard. Imagine if the person who had it before you had Ebola virus! Besides, who would want to return this great product!

I have been having horrible back discomfort. I have purchased several different back support pillows. This one is GREAT for the car and to take with you for use when traveling. Since it's inflatable, it's fully adjustable to the support level needed at any time.
I'm short and in a different chair every day in different offices, this goes with me everyday and gives my back great relief. With this it doesn't matter what kind of chair I'm in.
Great relief while driving. Had terrible sciatic nerve pain going down my leg. Was due to driving a lot; the back cushion stopped it. Just a tiny bit of air in it...don't add too much air; makes cushion hard & it doesnt give the relief you need; back rolls against the cushion..
I've been using these for about 5 years. My first one lasted about 4 years. My second about 6 months. This is my third and seems to holding up well. The keys is just blow a little air into them. One or two puffs is plenty.
Have been using these pillows for 30 years. The fact that I can choose how full or flexible the pillow is, is the secret. Blow it up completely and it's full and harder. Only putting a certain amount of air keeps it contored to my back. It can be adjusted to what feels best. I keep one at my desk and in my car
