I purchased this for my wife who recently had knee replacement. It easily wraps around her knee and the elastic velcro straps are a great idea for securing it. I would recommend putting a hand-towel around the knee or limb before wrapping the gel pad as it is pretty darned cold. The only complaint is that it doesn't stay cold as long as expected. Otherwise great product.
My wife fractured a bone in her knee and the physical therapist recommended this wrap. It was big enough to fit totally around the knee and delivered a cold compress that helped her heal.

I have used this product during recovery of knee replacement. It has been an excellent product for pain relief and swelling reduction.
Used elastomer gel for pain. It is easy to use and last about 20-25 minutes. Great product!
