It magnifies beautifully, and the neck cord (once adjusted) allows it to rest just above my bosom easily, making my embroidery once again a pleasure rather than eye-strain, no matter how little the stitching is. As I do a great deal of tiny embroidery, you can bet this is going to get a workout and help keep my eyes from hurting. I can stitch again, so I am extremely pleased overall. The light even works great, once you remember to put in batteries! Also, the battery compartment is extremely easy to get open, and the two AA batteries I installed snapped in pretty quickly. Excellent product, highly recommended!
How did I live without this? Forget just doing my counted cross stitch!!! I do my needle work with it. Oh, and then I had to rip out my goof on the dress I was making. And gee, there was something else I needed to see. And then something else. This is the most useful gadget. What took me so long to get one? I am using it more and more! I love it! I think I need to make a little protective bag so it can go in my purse!
Got this for my grandmother. She had an old white one that she loved but the string broke on it. Works great for reading. The light is not very bright though, and isn't noticeable I dim light. Only in complete darkness it's visible which isn't the best for my grandmother but for younger eyes it would be fine. If the light were brighter i would have given five stars. Out weighs a little more than her old one, but she doesn't seem to notice or be bothered by it.
Reasonably comfortable and adjustable cord makes it just the right "size" for anyone. Nice to use with or without the light. I would recommend for crafting or any detail work if your eyes aren't so good. I have used it for reading as well... it's not really suited as much for that because it doesn't cover the whole page and it's a slight learning curve to work around that but it can be done.
I own two of these. My bank statements print out with very small print, so this really works to help me see all of the charges and dates. The light does a great job of lighting exactly what you are looking at, making it much, much easier to see than an unlit magnifier. It's also great when I'm working on drafting blueprints and need to write details with small lettering. I keep one by my drafting table and the other by my computer. They've become tools for working for me just like pen and paper. Indispensable!

Getting old is a real b**ch! I do needlework and could do 32-count with no problem when I was in my 30's; two decades later, and I need help with 28-count! This magnifier has been a huge help when I'm doing my favorite hobby (cross-stitching)! Of course, I have to be wearing my reading glasses at the same time. Woe is me!
This magnifier works well resting on my chest and for magnifying and highlighting the pattern. Its downside is the super magnification dot in the bottom center gets in the way and I have to work around it, which is very bothersome.
I like it as I am older and my eyes are not as good as they used to be . My wife ordered one first ; I liked hers and ordered a matching one for myself . If ones eyes are not as good as used to be , then this is a much needed item . I like that is is larger , lighted , hangs around ones neck and frees up your hands . It is a good product for the price .
This is so useful and handy. I can strap it on and do crafts and beading and constantly able to see things. it is hands free, and there is a nice light to help. It is very well made and solid and looks like it will last a long time. Very happy.
I really needed this for my beading. I mainly use it for threading the needle and it works great for that. It takes a few minutes initially to get it right where you want it. I really use the light and the 4X strength.
